I'm by no means a religious person, but it's a terrible shame for such an astonishingly beautiful building to be allowed to decay like this.
dude same. i still have such an appreciation for stuff like this.
In a city near me they turned an abandoned church in to a radio station. Looks amazing now. Shame the station has slowly started to move operations away.
Hard to say, this church decayed because too many people are "by no mean religious".

If a church is beyond repair, the artifacts ...stained glass windows,, wood, pews, pipes etc can be salvaged and repurposed in newly built or renovated church. Which is a better alternative than losing all that beautiful stuff to weather, decay and or vandalism.

You know I agree 100%. Not only are they being wasted, they are historical and would give new and existing churches a museum artifact....
Organs are so expensive. I am shocked that they just left it there to rot.
As a Catholic, I have to say that seeing a beautiful old church like this just lying abandoned and in disrepair like this just breaks my heart. I wish the city would do something to restore it, though I would greatly prefer to see it returned to the Albany diocese and returned as an active parish, seeing it restored as a historic building would be wonderful at least.
I too, am a Catholic and I love old Cathedrals and churches. There is something so mysterious about them. Especially the time period.
Institute of Christ the King handles these kind of restorations. I think so might FSSP. IDK about Sspx. Wish one of these orders would restore this place. It must have been so beautiful!
If only Vatican could use some of their trillions to take care of old churches.
I'd drive extra miles to attend a restoration like this over smaller churches. We've spread ourselves out and the special ones surface.
Amen
Utterly criminal to allow such a building to fall into such disrepair.
Unfortunately it takes a lot of money and contracts to keep buildings up to date and in good conditions. There aren't many ways you can reuse a church building without large money contracts and investors. This building, due to its size and location, will most unfortunately probably end up in worse decay and not be used again.
Brittany S thank god in the UK we have a thing called The National Trust which protects buildings such as this. Why this model is not replicated elsewhere in other 1st world nations is beyond me.
Agree...
Utterly criminal to build it in the first place
Lee Buco I’m not a religious person, but I do have a profound respect for religious architecture.
This video makes me very, very sad. Not only because I'm a Catholic myself, but also because I'm a heritage student and I know how it's important to preserve our history and sacred places. It's not only important for the faith, but also for the community. The fact that this incredible building is in that condition, just proves that our society as a whole doesn't care soo much about history, heritage, and faith. If the Catholic community was more present in the sacral life that this Cathedral represents, for sure would attract more attention and more financial help. This Cathedral's just a slice of the current situation of today's Europa and West society as a whole. And this makes my heart cry for real. Anyhow, thanks for the channel in expose and denounce the condition of this Cathedral and give us an important warning about our heritage.
Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, as I am sure you know, just burned and will probably take between $5 Billion and $10 Billion to restore. This church appears to be about 1/10 as big and the damage may be less extreme so I would estimate between $200 million and $500 million though it certainly could be much higher than that. To build a modern church with the same capacity would run between $5 million and $10 million to build. It wouldn't be nearly as nice or fancy but it would certainly do the job. The Roman Catholic church is hurting for funds. They have been hit by many lawsuits in the last 30 years and the parishes are shrinking and donating less and less money. Only a parish consisting of nothing but extremely generous millionaires would be able to pay for the restoration of such a church. What will happen is at some point all the stained glass, art and bells and whatever else they can salvage will be removed then this building will be photographed in detail and then torn down due to lack of funds for a restoration project. Or more likely no one will think to photograph it in detail and an arson will burn it down and the art will be lost and afterwards everyone will cry about how nobody wanted to restore it.
@JoleFin I fully agree with you. It's about history and identity. If we lost what made us, we will don't know what we will become. I understand that not everyone has the same faith and I respect that. But, as you said, it's about cultural heritage. We can have a different point of views about the metaphysical and about God, but we all are humans and we know what it's important for our destiny as a whole. History is part of that. We are not different from Daesh if we destroy our heritage in order to promote a radical political view. Every civilization, especially a civilization with a scientific focus, need to respect history and culture in order to preserve knowledge and understanding of the reality.
@@nunyabiznez6381 Yeah, Notre Dame show for me two sides of humankind. One is positive when we embrace a cause to preserve history and heritage. But another one is negative when people don't care about buildings because of the costs and so on. Neglect history and cultural heritage it's a crime for all people, born and unborn, from the present or the past. If our society embraces the conscience that heritage it's about ourselves and our future, our destiny as a whole, not only Cathedrals and Churchs will be safe but also the humankind. Because we will have the motivation to work together. And that is what I wish can happen more often.
@@sashalamounier1432 There are billions of buildings in the world, and millions of churches, temples, mosques etc. You can't preserve all of them. That may be sad, but it's also life. That church may look beautiful, but in a way it's also a dime a dozen. There's plenty of other churches that look pretty much the same. In particular, there are many actual gothic churches that aren't 19th century imitations. Tearing it down wouldn't imply a neglect of history.
@@blahfasel2000 I understand your point. But look in that way. Of course, we can't preserve every single building on the Earth. But, we can preserve what it's important for us. Right? You will not tear down your house for any reason, after all, it's YOUR house. When I said that historic Cathedrals abandoned like this one means that the local Catholic community and the West civilization are not so engaged in preserve our common history, it's because to me a lot of people doesn't care so much. In that case, implied a neglected history because we have the option to take care or don't take care. If this Cathedral is in this condition, it means that a lot of people don't care.
Old buildings always fill me with a sense of wonder. I feel connections with people long dead who have been there. I wonder about their lives and whether they wondered about future inhabitants of the space. Thanks for making these explorations and sharing them with the world.
Me too! When I was in Italy 🇮🇹 visiting my cousins, I was in awe of the beautiful old buildings. I wonder about the people who lived while those stunning buildings were built.
Being a church organist...gotta say the organ and bells are amazing...and expensive..even back when they were installed. The organ is large,...possibly an echo division up near the bells that you discovered? ( they were fashionable at the time ) If so, it's a complete luxury to have $$. Wishing you'd have examined the console to find the name of the builder on it. Thanks for posting. It's sad to see such craftsmanship, both architecture and the organ/bells, just rotting away.
JH & CS Odell was the builder.
David Schofield i know, im an organist too. What i wouldnt give to play an organ like that with magnificent acoustics every sunday. All new churches are so uninspiring filled with carpet, padded seats, and the best digital organ money can buy.....yawn.

you're right about the stairwells in castles.. they made them narrow to be more easily defendable..
and that's the reason why they are winding clockwise, too.. because most people are right handed.. and an attacker from below had the wall on his sword side.. making it awkward to swing.. whereas the defender could cover himself with a shield and still had enough room to strike from above.. :-)
very cool building there..
Interesting! I never that about that before, how a sword wouldn't be accessible with a right hand. Thanks for sharing!
Which is why left handed were in fact liked at attacking side as they could attack better
Wow, interesting, thanks for that cool info👍
Thats pretty interesting
Very cool, thank you for sharing.
The spiral staircases in medieval castles were designed to spiral clockwise on the way up, and anticlockwise in the way down. That was because most people are naturally right handed, which gives anyone defending the castle with a sword an advantage over someone attempting to take control of that castle that is likewise armed with a sword.
Alexi Starr yeah, they had loads of awesome tricks like that. Such as the special windows they used that are easy to shoot bows out of but hard to shoot them into.
You don't shoot bows. You launch arrows or shoot arrows.
Rick Drew thanks, i think i got my point across though, which would not be that poor of a job for someone self taught in the English language.
Rick Drew actually, you nock and loose an arrow, like you load and shoot a bullet.

Really, thank you for exploring this place. I love Gothic architecture and cathedrals! My dad did too. He was an organist most of his adult life. Pipe organs were his thing. For the ppl that wonder where this building is "St. Joesph's Church in Albany, NY"
Thank you. How could this happened? In my country such a beautiful church never be given up for decay.
While religion itself is as dead and decayed as the buildings these guys explore and even though the childish notions of gods and other magic should be allowed to die along with them, buildings like this should not. They should be preserved on the sake of history and architecture alone.
@@vermilion7777 Sure. Wow that cathedral rivals St Patrick's in NYC. The stained glass windows are priceless. It's such a waste to see the walls caving in. That has to be a historical building. Can you imagine how many years it took to build such an intricate and beautiful piece of architecture.
Hardly, you need to seriously take a much closer look at St. Patrick's
There are more beautiful medieval churches than that one in NYC
@@Jiskpirate When you say medieval do you mean "medieval style"?
Because "medieval" means from the fall of the Roman empire up to about 1400s. And I don't think NYC existed back then.
@@JC-XL Perhaps I should clarify. What I meant saying was that mainly in Europe where I am from there are much more beautiful churches which actually date from the medieval period that outshine the mostly cheap and neo-gothic churches built in NYC. And no, NYC did not exist back then. Founded by the Dutch in about 1624.
@@Jiskpirate Plenty of neo-Gothic in Europe. Also, beauty is a very subjective thing. I love Gothic cathedrals (strictly speaking, this is not a cathedral because it's not the church of a bishop), such as the ones in Cologne, Paris, Florence and Milan, but judging a religious building on "beauty" is kind of missing the point.
It never ceases to amaze me the things we value and those things we don't. What a travesty that this magnificent church is left to ruin.
Despite the over-use of the expression "jaw-dropping", for the first time watching a YT video, I found my mouth agape for most of this video! The church is fantastic, with two intact organs and an intact belfry! What the heck is going on with this church?? It would be a travesty to let it decay any further. Where is it?
albany ny, ten broeck st
I can't believe something like that was abandoned. And they didn't even cover the keyboards of the organ.
This makes no sense. That Cathedral could easily be restored.
spicecrop. Ok go for it
The problem I see is that the concrete has a lot of cracks, they would have to tear down walls to reinforce the structural integrity of the whole church.
No actually it could not easily be restored. Restoring this structure would cost somewhere around $200,000,000 - $500,000,000 give or take. I'm probably underestimating that range. Even with that money one would need to bring in specialists from Europe to repair this church. A structure like this was not built by local craftsman. This is a specialized construction project probably built by French or Italian craftsmen imported just for the job. It probably took a decade to build this. Restoration always costs more than tearing it down and starting over which is why this would be such an expensive project. Also it is likely that it would be 5-10 years before one could bring in anyone since all the top people are now working on Notre Dame in Paris so they won't be available for a few years. You don't turn a project like this over to your local handy man.
Restoring the organ alone would cost about $1 million. And one of the brick walls is buckling.
spicecrop Unfortunately what’s the point of restoring it when no one nearby uses it anymore? :( Hence, it is left this way...

I was going to say the same thing. Really beautiful shots.
The 4-manual organ, built in 1912 (reusing pipes from the original 1859 installation), deserves a special mention. It was built by the New York based company J. H. & C. S. Odell & Co. founded in 1859. They built over 600 organs up until the Great Depression. Most of them small or medium in size, only a handful large ones. This is their Magnum Opus. Unfortunately, many of their instruments have been rebuilt or replaced as fashion and taste have changed over the years. The organ hasn't been documented at all as far as I can see. It has an ID- number in the OHS database, but the stoplist is unknown. Close-ups of the stop jambs wouldn't have helped much since some of the stop-knobs and most of the coupler tabs seems to be gone. The organ should be examined by an expert and, if the building can't be saved, handed over to a professional organisation specialising in rehousing pipe organs.
Do you know where this Cathedral is
... a professional organ-isation ...

This is very sad. What a beautiful structure. Yes, it looks as if there are MANY parts which could be savaged away if the building is a loss. I strongly disagree -- 'the building is a loss.' The guys didn't mention the smell of water damage, and obviously, we need to check the roof. The physical stability of the inner-support columns throughout the church, is an issue. Add a modernized plumbing system to the list..minus lead piping.
AWESOME!!! This is the ONE place that I wished I was there when it was explored. The music is perfect in accompanying the visuals if this great place. It may be going but at least the guys preserved some of it for generations to come.
They need to put a donation link to help save this amazing, beautiful structure! I'm sure many people would be more than willing to help.
How about those moneybags help. Why poor people are always the ones who give everything away ?
Catholic church is one of the richest organisations in the world and THEY can't be bothered to save it. But absolutely nothing is stopping YOU from crowdsourcing a save.....
@Allen Loser Perhaps asking your bishop or cardinal to appeal to the purse-string-holders of the Catholic Church would help....Certainly it is more important that a congregation not be lost than to have expensive works of art that could be sold just sitting around doing nothing. "It is easier for a camel to pass........"
Any fund raising should consider the month-to-month maintence cost (heat, water, etc) and insurance for an empty deteriorating building. ...

Thank God for those of us who buy history and restore it.
There are very, very few churches "like that" in the UK. We have a "listed building" scheme set up and pretty much anything of any architectural/historic significance is not allowed to to fall into ruin. Unfortunately the idiots filming this had no worthwhile knowledge, it seemed, to impart about the building, age/architect/owner ect. or why it was abandoned. Structural integrity?? Doubt it, it's only about 150 years old (Victorian Gothic?) but even so, there are buildings in far worse a state that have been rescued.
In Ireland we are converting our churches into restaurants, libraries, bars and museums. Religion is dying off but churches shouldn't be let rot as they are so beautiful architecturally. Our churches are all like this one. Most build in the 16th to 19th centuries.
We are also converting old castles and manors into restaurants and hotels.

Really sad that people don’t respect such a place and draw graffiti and destroy things in the cathedral.
shpigenzig cretin taggers who define themselves as 'artists'. IMO they need a good whipping :-)
i think most of the things in there were part of the art event that they mentioned, i didnt saw any graffiti. where is it?
D G 13:56 for example. This cathedral needs some faith and love.
@@shpigenzig lol, i swear i was thinking that was part of the exhibition like the other drawings, but now i see. thx.
Also i agree, it is a shame the state that is is, but i believe i would be really hard, maybe even impossible to restore it. The cost to do it would be really high and i'm not seeing someone investing that amount on it, as i said, it is a shame, but i believe that this is the case.
And if we consider that fact that most likely there are other newer churches near this location, would make it even worse in the eyes of a possible investor.
I think the only way this cathedral would be able to be in running conditions would be if they didnt let it reach this level of damage.
There are still old cathedrals that are still well maintained, lets just hope that whoever takes care of them doesnt allow them to became like this.
The organ was the largest instrument built by the J.H. & C.S. Odell & Co. Organ builders in 1912. It was their Opus #483 (shop commission) and it was an enlargement/reworking of an earlier organ by the Simmons &Wilcox firm in 1859. The organ was Odell's magnum opus (largest) and featured 4 manuals (keyboards) and 74 ranks (sounds).
Here's the Organ Historical Society entry on the organ - pipeorgandatabase.org/OrganDetails.php?OrganID=51883
Hopefully someone can dismantle the organ and store it properly , since it seem(ed) like a fine instrument and it would be a shame to expose it to more vandalism and neglect.

Mark Demmin II, The Vintage Voice Thanks.
What a privilege being able to be there and see everything before it disappears, all those artifacts are very well made, most of them handcrafted.
Thank you for sharing an let us also see these things.
That's a carillon you found in the bell tower. And that one was played by hand. What a find!
Such a beautiful place, to bad its falling apart. Love the woodwork and stain glass windows. As a man of faith really enjoy seeing this place. As always you two do a great job.
The organ has an electropneumatic action as most pipe organs do which is original. The carillon would cost several million dollars to replace. For those mourning the loss od this edifice there are thousands of equally magnificent churches near closure so I would suggest attending and supporting the churches if you want them to survive.
Ok just let me start going to church...ahh nevermind.
The fact is : one can love the buildings, the paintings, the organ, the music in a general acceptance.
And in the same time absolutely doesn't want to support the catholic dogma.
_I am this kind of person._
I am an organist. First of all, above all : I am a musician, a musician like many others. What distinguishes me is I'm part of the saddests ones : the instrument I love and I play is definitely not affordable to me. I'll never get _my own_ organ at home (unless I win the lotto or the bingo I never play to). So I have to go to a church to play such an instrument, but in the same time, I have NOTHING to do with the dogma. That's my deal: I have to support 1 hour of mass to play 1 hour of my instrument. I'm in a church every sunday, but never invite me to pray : I'm here for music, not for religion.
I'll never blame the ones who find solace in God. This just NOT my case... even if every sunday I'm here for the mass.
It's not the loss of a catholic place I'm mourning about. It's the loss of sense, as this building could be a home for refugiees, as the organ could have been saved, as the bells could knows another end than rusting due to the snow.
We have become crazy. We human, have chosen the worst road ever. Our pride has grown to a point our civilization is nearly lost.
northangerabbey Roblox Hopefully the Great Awakening changes the world in fundamental ways, everything gets turned over to be restored in a real (as never seen before) way and fully rejuvenated for mind blowing praise and life changing worship that will exalt the nations in His name. Amen!
General Ackbar TLDR. Go post it to reddit im sure youll get 1000 upboats
@@lePPa-7h Not concerned, too short.
The tunnels alluded to at the beginning are in fact voids between the foundations of the walls and the structural columns. If the alter is liturgically correct and at the approximate East- end of this church, the boarded- up stained glass windows are facing South. The South facade of any structure typically weathers and breaks down faster than other portions of a building, due to U.V. exposure -- or-- it's possible the Windows boarded up are on the North facade because the South facade stained glass windows were re-camed (rebuilt with new lead cam) because they were earlier in decayed condition and rebuilt but the North windows were left as is in formerly good condition but recently boarded up because they'd outlived considerably the 100 year life cycle normally expected of lead in stained/ leaded glass windows. There are about 15 dozen more scenarios that could account for why the windows on one side are boarded up and the other side(s) not.
A.G. M. Good to know. Thank You for sharing.
How did they get down there? Sewer?
Y9ou're right that the altAr is traditionally at the east end of nave. However, looking at Google Maps for 41 Ten Broeck St, Albany, the altAr here is on the west end of the church.
Ponder the craftsmanship and careful planning it took to create the majestic beauty.Awe inspiring.
I'm surprised those stainglass haven't been broken yet... They're so beautiful, it would be a sin to break them...
I love that it has stained glass on the ceiling! That church is next level elaborate!

WHERE IS THIS CHURCH?
@@rraddena Saint Joseph's Albany, NY
Thank you for being respectful of an abandoned place. You could have damaged it but you didn't.
This is so sad to see.So many memories in that church.Someone needs to restore this beauty
BEAUTIFUL! Never get tired of watching on your journey.
This should be structurally made sound, cleaned, and some internal restoration - to make it a tourist site and a wedding/baptism/Christening venue. It would be incredible!
How sad to see such beauty decay and no telling how many years it took to build it by many people.
The church resolved to build a larger building with a more artistic and elaborate design. A large plot of land, bounded by Ten Broeck, Second and First streets, was acquired for $45,000.
Plans for the new building were drawn up by Patrick Keeley. The ground was broken in the fall of 1855. The cornerstone was laid by the Rev. Bishop McCloskey on June 1, 1856. The mammoth Gothic Revival styled building, measuring 212-feet and 116-feet, was completed in 1860 at a cost of $250,000.
Haha. *sees girls* "We should ring the bell now" haha. I was on the same page
Beautiful. As a Catholic, thank you for visiting this church and shining a light on it. 👍
Absolutely incredible, the editing and music are perfect, just amazing, thank you
yay something good to watch !!!

Andrew Meneely (1802-1851) was among the premier bell makers in America, and founder of the world-class Meneely Bell Foundry in West Troy, known today as Watervliet. More than 65,000 bells under the Meneely brand were cast between 1826 and 1952, when the business closed. Meneely bells were once placed on barges and ships on the Hudson River near the foundry and sent around the world. (Credit to Paul Grondahl, award-winning journalist and author, director of the New York State Writers Institute, and staff writer at the Albany Times Union.)
many bells in the Niagara Region of Canada are stamped "New York" - now I'm curious if they're from Meneely Bell Foundry
@@DJMARINKOx Meneely commonly had their company name stamped on the bells.
As an organist, it is a terrible shame that such a wonderful organ and cathedral is decaying like that - but it is far too late to go back.
There are many, many religious buildings and others, which got left behind. I`m curently wasting much time to explore.
Gods people worked so hard to create this beautiful building, I am so sad to see it wasting away.
Ashes to ashes etc.
May the Almighty God , Lord Jesus Christ help this Church to be open again .Amen
Pay for it!!

You know, often when I see mega restoration projects like this, I think it would cost quite a fortune to restore. But I think a college or trade school could implement the project into hands on training classes. Working in a real world environment, for the benefit of the community for years to come.
Good idea!
If the super structure is intact or restored, that bulding looks very restorable. Like Notre Dame, everyone thought it would crumble, but cathedrals tend to be very stout buildings. They have to be. I'd bet the right contractor could restore the fuctionality of that cathedral for less than a million bucks.
@@aaronvoss748 Some are some aren't. Looks like there might be some plaster where stone would be. A lot of different building materials in this one. That stained glass should be salvaged at minimum.
Thank you for being respectful and not vandalizing !
That slide through the ray of light, complete with dust sparkling in it and a lense flare is most excellent filmmaking! 👌
If I was a millionaire, I would gladly do whatever it took to restore such a once beautiful building, even if it meant using all my millions.
Just to get some pedos running around that church?
you would have made a great investment in heaven, the Lord would reward you for restoring His house

Wow, what a majestic building, it's amazing!
What a beautiful building! I hope it gets restored some day, but I doubt it..
yeah, it is a shame to see such a nice place abandoned like that
How can a person do anything if they wanted to people post these things but they never tell anyone where the hell they're at
@A Sojourner St. Joseph's is not a cathedral, it was a parish church in the Diocese of Albany. The cathedral in Albany is The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, also a very impressive bit of Neo Gothic architecture with strong English influences.
@@larikipe940 Thank you, I knew it had to be some northeastern industrial city. I doubt most people who aren't Catholic know what a cathedral really is. The only reason I know is because our Catholic friends recently built a new cathedral in Raleigh. It's really impressive on the outside, and I understand the stained glass windows came from a closed church in PA. holynamecathedralnc.org/
Its incredible to think of the LIVES that have passed thru this building---all those hopes and dreams and various expectation of life.

the Catholic Church should bring the Traditional Latin Mass there and raise money to fix it!! All the young people would love to help restore that cathedral

graffiti artists (most, at least) have a code of conduct. non-commercial cars, small businesses, places of worship, and other similar structures fall into that category of things not to be vandalized
Those opening shots of the cathedral were beautiful. Very nice camera work of such an ornate structure.
It's such a shame for such a beautiful church to be abandoned. Here in my city we have 3 who are also in this situation, lack of funds and very old structure
Man, this one was hitting all my triggers. I didn't even know I had a fear of heavy bells breaking out of their moorings and crushing all below, but, yep, there it is. All the super narrow, steep step, curved stairwells did it for me too, that's old hat though.
I think 1989's Batman has made the bell a phobia for a lot of people.
@@JohnEdgmon My boyfriend and I actually watched that this weekend. XD
I thought the same thing. XD

The cathedral is so beautiful
Not a Cathedral, no Bishop.
@@bhaalspawn34 it was built as a cathedral so it can still be called one
That’s not a Cathedral. It’s just a Neo-Gothic Church in Albany. Albany’s population has been in decline for decades.
Thanks for ringing the bells!! I loved it!!
This was not a cathedral, though it looks like one. It was a large immigrant parish, probably Irish or Italian and likely built within a decade of 1900, give or take. In that era, there were organ builders, stained glass makers, fresco painters and fine art carpenters all throughout the country. We won't see that kind of craftsmanship again. As a Catholic, this makes me sad to see. The music on the oragan is from the beginning of the mass (Kyrie and the Gloria), so they could not have been the last pieces played.
I would bet Germans. Definitely Catholic.
My thoughts as well. I believe 13:57 would have been the Tabernacle.
@@claudermiller Yeah I was thinking the same--don't forget the Germans.
Its absolutely a disgrace that the american government allows their heritage and historical buildings to fall into such a poor state of repair, if this was in england or a other part of Europe their government would defiantly not allow this to happen and would pump money into it to preserved it, this place should be up and running and allowing people to go and visit it, not rotting away, its such a shame,
America has some great historical building, but some of them like this one are allowed to rot away, and be forgotten, and some are even knocked down altogether
@@subconscious.com_usa6691 Yea in America we don't waste money on restoring old buildings that obviously no one cares about. I don't want my taxes paying to restore a church that I won't go to. Also if the government renovated a bunch of churches and opened them to the public that would be stupid because we have separation of church and state.
"That's really loud, we probably shouldn't be doing this." "BONNNNNNG!" 🤣
Just AMAZING ~ the work that went into the architect of these large and dramatic places of worship , I can’t imagine they will ever be duplicated to this degree EVER AGAIN and it’s UNFORTUNATE the fund aren’t there to keep ALL , At least the ones of THIS SCALE functional and in use as originally intended
Probably an old catholic church. Structure like this needs funding for it's maintenance. Just imagine the efforts of those people who once helped putting up this kind of church but now it's abandoned.
Those people are probably buried in the grave yard next to the church...Sad!!!
You're right. It would literally cost thousands/month just to heat this place!
If they cannot restore ..do something with it... like a venue for shows and theaters .... the acoustic for this place is just great
what a beauty, this needs to be restored, I am not a believer, but this is an architectural milestone in history and must be saved
It would of been easier to break through some glass to get in but you went another way and I love that y'all never break anything Keep it up!
CJ Scantland urban explorers aren't allowed to break their way into buildings, they would get arrested. plus why desecrate the beautiful stain glass
:-)
one stained glass window would normally run you $8000-10,000
That would be vandalism and probly more likely to just get arrested.
I respect they leave the place as they arrived...
