Thanks for the compliments everyone and THANK YOU HUNTER for allowing me to share my passion. I owe you when you're back in town. You've got my number.

Bro you are killing it with these videos! Your videos BY FAR surpass anyone else doing this because you are actually talking about the bottles and not just doing a quick fly by with prices. Love learning about the different bottles and LOVED your guests for this video. Keep bringing it, great content bro.
What nice store owners to go into such detail with you! Much appreciated! Oh - and Larceny C923 is great. I had to buy a back-up as well. .... Look at you - getting a discount (at the end)!!! Nice.
I enjoy Penelope mainly the toasted and the barrel strength offerings. The 9 year is my favorite from them as of now. I tried the architect and wasn’t a fan.
Another awesome video Hunter, it was great to see your Grandfather hunting with you ❤. Why you hating on Penelope??? Get the 9 year and you tell me it isn't a true banger. It blinded so well in many online reviews and was in bourbon of year lists. You got to try it
I have a Yellowstone 115pr store pick and it was so good I've been back for 2 more. I'm on my 3rd bottle now. And it's more enticing than Stagg, JD12, Smoke Wagon UCUF, Blantons (which is easy to beat anyways), and many other sought after bottles. I think you did well choosing the Yellowstone. Hope it's good!
I have 2 bottles of the Old Forrester Signature Bourbon that you picked up in the beginning of the video. I live in Northern Virginia. It's on sale until August 31 for $25.99
Loved the vid, Hunter, but raised some questions. As someone who can't get squat out here in Texas, how would you rate the ECBP vs the Peerless Double Oaked Rye vs the Lux Tow vs the Bardstown black label Bottle in bond you mentioned earlier in the vid? For that matter, what was the best tasting score you found? Thx!
The best bang for your buck bottle I found last year is the $49.99 BardsTown Black Labeled Bottled in bond. Its easily a shelf staple of mine now and shouldn’t be too hard to find. The EC C923 is great but the proof point for most folks maybe a little much. The Lux Row is unique because its a single barrel product so ive just really aligned well with the flavors in my single barrel. If I was you i’d track down the bardstown black label bottled in bond! Cheers! 🥃
I wish I had a store like the second place you visited. The lady really knew her stuff and wasn’t a whisky snob which is rare in my experience. If I’m ever in the area definitely a store I will visit.
I love the main offerings of Redwood Empire, especially Lost Monarch. It is creeping up in my area to $42 but haven't come across their higher proof stuff just yet.
Love the hunting videos. Funny about the Yellowstone Hand Picked as all I ever see are high proof. Took me over a year to find a low proof. Wow , Michelle is awesome. Love the passion and knowledge.
Good video! O’Darby’s does have good store picks and wide selection of all kinds of liquor. I go to the one in Landrum more than Taylors, only because I live closer to that one.
I was able to pick up an Old Forester 100 Proof Single Barrel and an Old Forester Cask Strength for $185. All in all it was a pretty good deal and I was able to taste them before buying the bottles.
Hey from Kentucky. Really enjoy your videos. That lady at the end has a great store. I will visit it in the spring. Some really good prices. Keep the content coming!!
Penelope is good. Not everything, but a good amount of their stuff. The architect ive had a couple i didnt like, but build 5 or 6 was really good, the store picks ive tried are really good. The toasted barrel proof picks are really good. The private select 9yr is phenomenal.
Great info on the C923. You may want to put out an abbreviated clip of that information with a related title. Doubt a large percentage made it to the end for this information.
Those were two awesome stores! They both had some killer bottles in them and both would have hurt my wallet! Love it when I find someone who loves to talk bourbon working/owning a store. That is always a great time! Thanks for another amazing video Hunter! 🥃
Crazy how prices vary by states/area, OC/LA has roughly all of these bottles too but for at least $20-$30 more than those prices and don’t get me started on things like Weller, blantons, Eagle rare, Etc
@@Bourbon_Hunter yeah special reserve is roughly $80-90 but things like full proof and antique I see around $300 I seen one or two store with it at $899 💀 and stagg usually around $200-$300

I absolutely agree with her testimony on Kentucky Limestone water. I’m a scientist by trade and saw some merit to the molecular similarity, but thought it wouldn’t be noticeable enough with only a couple drops. It absolutely does make a difference. To me, it doesn’t dilute the flavors like distilled water. The limestone water stratifies and separates flavors better. Dont knock it til you try it, I’m a believer!
If you are near and want a great pour, that Huling Station 8 year is a banger! Its a custom mash bill for Old Dominick from MGP. Those at that age are long gone here in TN. 44% rye! Also the Old Ezra 7's are Heaven hill distilled, so the Rye would be at 51%. Both are VERY good!
Gotta come up to NC brotha. Walked into my local ABC last week and saw a ton of Blantons and OF1924. Turned around a saw a GTS sitting behind the counter. Nearly fainted 🤣
My Penelope experience. Architect - pass (not for me), Toasted Barrel Strength - not bad, Valencia - good summer time on the rocks bourbon, 9 year - very good (best Penelope I have had and maybe the best MGP that is not finished all year.). The Pinhook 8 vertical series is also good if you like MGP juice.
Great video! Redwood Empire Pipe Dream cask strength and their Grizzly Beast BiB are 2 of my favorite bourbons. Did not know that about the EC Barrel Proof. I’m glad I got a C923 bottle, I got it back in October and it’s half gone though. 😢
Pretty sure there will continue to be ECBP releases 12yr and over. Just not every one. Don’t expect them to get younger across the board. Likely similar to last year with one younger and one older. Gives them more blending opportunity and the ability to elevate some releases like C923. The 12yr age statement was removed from the small batch back in 2016.
@@cheesecheese8240 I expect a pattern to form that the earlier batches come in at lower ages so they can save their older releases for allocation season. 10yr 9mo is still pretty decent when you consider that most four roses single barrel barrel proof are around that or younger. And people lose their minds for those.
Hey ya'll , I'm not really educated on the whole 'CAST" and "Full Proof" strengths. Can you guys tell me what's the difference and does it affect taste at all?? and better yet I like my whiskey's on the sweeter fruitier side but a lil bite never hurt. Thanks

Have to correct one thing here. From the VP of Product: “Each batch of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof will have its own unique taste profile and proof, as in years past, and now a unique age statement that will retain the extra-aged characteristic the brand is known for” ECBP isn’t 12 years anymore simply because they will release what they think is good and not just hit an age statement. It’s also a batch product and the age statement has to represent the youngest thing in the blend. C923 is NOT the last batch over 12 years. What she did get right is about the Small Batch. It used to carry a 12 year age statement and now is a blend of 8-12 year.
