You are so kind to promote our country. Thank you so much. The reason Malaysian get the discount to certain tourist attractions (since 2000) because since 1980 Malaysian has to pay more tax in order to maintain those tourist attraction buildings. It also encourage locals to learn more about our own culture.

I beg to differ when it comes to your opinion that KL's shopping malls are not in comparison to those of SG and Bangkok..We have South East Asia's largest shopping mall called IOI City Mall Putrajaya on top of popular, award- winning high end shopping malls namely PAVILION that currently has three branches in operation, PAVILION Bukit Bintang, PAVILION Bukit Jalil and PAVILION Damansara Heights..Malaysia's shopping malls house numerous retail outlets that suit every income group, catering for luxury shoppers as well as budget shoppers..

We will always welcome foreign tourists to enjoy the greats things and hospitality associated with Malaysia..
We absolutely loved Malaysia and will definitely keep it in high regard. Malaysia, and particularly KL (including greater KL), has some massive and high-quality malls, and we really enjoyed visiting them.
If you just google, you will see that the mall/shopping culture is definitely bigger in Bangkok and Singapore compared to KL or even the whole of Malaysia.
But it's not about that, Malaysia and KL, in particular, have all that one may need in their malls .... thank you once again

Could you describe it briefly..
As far as I am concerned, shopping culture especially with regards to shopping malls in Malaysia is really mind-blowing which leads to the openings of a lot of new shopping malls all over Malaysia especially in the big cities..

@@Myjeng16 Sure thing. See what we meant is that when you compare KL, with Singapore and/or Bangkok, there are fewer malls/shopping malls. It goes with the premise that the more the demand, the more the supply, and vice versa. We just made a ‘’matter of fact’’ comment, not in the form of a competition. We really liked the malls in KL, and they had all that we needed.
Reference:
1 According to Emporis, a leading database of building information, there are over 200 shopping malls in Bangkok alone!
2. As of August 2020, there are 171 malls in Singapore. Some listed shopping malls are also inclusive as a mixed-use development and or part of a neighborhood plaza.
3. There are over 50 big shopping malls in Malaysia; and in greater Kuala Lumpur has well over 20 malls in total with most of them concentrated within the Golden Triangle (nearby Bukit Bintang).

The data as of 2019 according to reliable source, MYCEB is as below :
The cosmopolitan Klang Valley itself has over 197 shopping malls of substantial size and 27 more are expected to open doors by 2021. This is indeed good news for Malaysian shopaholics and a targeted hoard of 28 million foreign tourists by end 2019.
Now, 2023 is nearing its end..
The total number of shopping malls in Greater KL alone is over 200..

Hey there, overall, we would say, travel as much as you can, and eat different types of local foods. Stay indoors during mid days as it can get quite hot, and it gets quite busy during the holiday period, so if going anywhere plan accordingly. Hope this helps 🙏

6:23 That would be reflective of the geographical peninsula Malaysia. If you explore the Bornean States, the population would differ whereby the demographics would be Dayak (indigenous people of Borneo island), Malays & Chinese. Seeing this point, I think you did not explore that side of Malaysia... something most vloggers don't usually do because the small size population means less viewership.
Yeah, you are absolutely right... we didn't get to visit, but we surely will the next time we are back in Malaysia :)

Thanks and great informative video. Quick question how much rate difference between grab vs taxi in KL. example same distance? We are planning to come December and staying in Bukit Bintang and how much are we expected to pay from Airport( both grab and taxi).
Hey there... we haven't used a taxi once since grab was so convenient. In fact, lots of taxis actually use grab since it's so popular. Frankly, just use grab. From the airport, if u have a lot of suitcases, make sure you take the 6 seater, since u since u will need the space. Otherwise, take the standard (just grab)... now the prices fluctuate depending on the time of day, but including tolls, I would suspect it would be around 100-130 ringits (usd 21- 27) to bukit bintang. There is also a train that takes you to the city, but then you will be carrying around all your luggage. All the best, mate, KL is awesome!

@@huskyyx8783 We never had to use one as we used grabs. Even when we traveled with friends, it wasn't even a consideration. I think it's not really enforced tbh. I mean if u get a car (hired or bought) and you really want to have one, you can, otherwise might not really be necessary.
