Personally, i think the video u reacted to missed out one most epic place to visit in Malaysia, ...that is Semporna, Sabah and its islands...the islands and the beaches there is like Maldives, only with actions, culture, delicious and awesome seafood, interesting sea gypsies villages and only with fraction of the cost of going to Maldives...you can view one of the most epic view you’ve ever seen from the peak of the Bohey Dulang island in Tun Sakaran Marine Park, in Semporna, Sabah, beautiful water bungalows in Mabul Island and Kapalai Island, and the most voted best diving site in the world for many years, that is the Sipadan Island..check out some videos on the islands of Semporna, Sabah.

The formations in Gunung Mulu National Park are pillars of rock. It was formed when the rain eroded the rocks at different rates, so the more resilient rocks stay and the less resilient erodes. Thus you have that formation.

Nice videos!! Kudos! Do feel free to drop by Sarawak while you are here in Malaysia. By now I think you know where Sarawak is (yes, it is on the island of Borneo together with Sabah and Kalimantan). Few fun facts about Sarawak:
    1. Do you know that if you travel by land from one end of Sarawak to the other end it will take you about maybe half a day by car/bus?
    2. Sarawak is called "The Land of the Hornbills" as it is home to eight of the world's fifty-four species of hornbills, and the Rhinoceros Hornbill is the state bird of Sarawak.
    3. Sarawak occupies much of the northwest coast of Borneo and is Malaysia's biggest state by size, almost the same size as England. However, it is the most sparsely populated due to the tropical rainforests, rugged mountains, mighty rivers, mangrove forest, white sandy beaches and pristine island.
    4. The population is multi-racial, multi-linguistic, multi-religious and multi-cultural, with vibrant, colourful traditions. It’s made up of 27 distinct ethnic groups speaking more than 40 different languages and dialects. Sarawak is very culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse, with many groups still living a simple, traditional lifestyle. English and Malay are the official languages, although there is no official religion.
    5. So much to eat, so little time! From the delectable “manok pansuh,” chicken cooked in bamboo, to the savoury “Sarawak laksa,” to the delicious “kolo mee,” to the mouthwateringly crispy jungle fern “midin” dish, to the herby broth known as “kueh chap” and the rich “manok kacangma” made from motherwort and rice wine, to the seasonal “dabai” fruit, to the Melanau “umai” delicacy with thin slivers of fish and rich sago pearls, Sarawak’s very long list of unique culinary offerings is unparalleled.
    6. And many, many more. You can even watch a video ua-cam.com/video/0daSV29JKPs/v-deo.html and enjoy!!

Hello from Malaysia. Just came across this reaction vid. The colonial building on the hilltop at the opening of the video used to be the Malaccan governor's official reaidence. My friend used to live there because his late dad was the governor of the state in the late 60s/70s. Fun fact or I'd say trivial - it was built on an old site of the Colegio São Paulo. It was the first western school in Malaysia and was ran by the Jesuits under the direction of St. Francis Xavier. Next to it is the ruins of the Igreja de São Paulo (St. Paul's church). When St. Francis died, he was buried inside a crypt in the church, then was transported to Goa by the Portuguese. When the Dutch came, a lot of places were destroyed such as the first two modern hospitals in Malaysia - Hospital dos Pobres (Pauper's Hospital) and Hospital de Rei (King's Hospital), as well as the Colegio.
As for the ship Flor de la Mar, it's just a replica turned museum. The last time I went there, it was RM2 per person for entry.

But you can also try an coastsl town in the country, some served the specialty of the place such as yan, kedah with is mackerel, pantai remis in perak for its crab, the stretch between sekinchan and kuala selangor for mentarang (a kind of shellfish), jeram for kerang (cockles), morib for kepahat (bamboo clams), melaka to sebatu stretch for kupang(musse, hutan melintang/teluk intan for udang (prawns/shrimp) n udang galah (fresh water prawns)....there are also vast amount of medan ikan bakar where it is basically a foodcourt selling grilled fish and seafood.....

Researchers have no other things to do but this kind of thing called, research. There are research institution that conduct such research in every part of the world; and in our case, its FRIM. Rainforest trees, unlike any other types of trees, do not have the growth ring to measure its age, thus it is a very interesting subject for researchers to venture into. The age of rainforest are "estimated" on various factors and most prominently the timing of wood decays. Amazon was thought to be the oldest then, with at least 55 mil. years of existence, until the estimated age of Taman Negara was revealed to exist since around 130 mil. years ago... AND, guess what? It was true during those time of discovery. Now Taman Negara is the second oldest tropical rainforest in the world after Daintree rainforest in Australia, which after thoroughly research was done, estimated to exist since 180 mil. years ago. So Taman Negara is the second oldest tropical rainforest in the world based on the latest data.

Hey guys if you're really considering on visiting Malaysia for a few weeks, I'd strongly recommend doing your research just because there is so many amazing things to offer. For example, our Sabah (it's a state) islands are even better than perhentian and is often referred as the Maldives of Malaysia and that wasn't even mentioned in the video.
Also we have tropical season so there are some months towards the end of the year and also Jan/Feb where you can't visit beach islands like Perhentian due to weather.
You can also watch plenty of UA-camrs that were stranded in Malaysia due to the pandemic for an idea of where to go/visit. Cheers guys

George Town is named after King George III of Great Britain. The same King the Americans rebelled again. Penang was founded in 1786 as part of the global supply stations for the British who were still fighting the French around the world. The American Revolution was just one small part of the Global conflict fought over by the British and the French. The first actual world war, the failure of which led to the French Revolution. This is why only Americans think highly of their revolution but for the rest of the world is just a footnote. (No offense meant)

The truth is from all the UA-camr travellers who have visited and stayed here for some time, their comments are not so much about the places but the food and the hospitality they received. Some have been invited to experience the different wedding ceremonies, festivities of different cultures and religions and to try the “best” local food. The “best” as everyone thinks their choices are the “best”.

Hi guys. I personally like your videos but I think you could improve something about your reaction. As example, please focus while you watch, instead of talking because well you know, your voices are louder than the video you're react to. As a viewer like me, we really won't miss the video points or interesting facts. And next time, please pause the video first, then you talk about whatever you want to. I still give you a like. All the best.
