That said, my grand daughter introduced me to Ningen Isu, and now the great grands have been playing Band Maid.

I first heard this song in 1996 walking into a pub somewhere up North with an ex-forces friend on a Friday afternoon. Four days and one epic bender later I woke up back at home with a copy of their album on cassette tape, about two dozen large sausage rolls and absolutely no idea what had happened over the last 72 hours.
    Damn good song...

The lead singer is Brian Johnson. He was born in Dunston, County Durham, England. Even now, at age 74, he holds his own with anyone on Planet Earth, having recorded in 2020 a NEW album with AC/DC called Power Up. Angus Young is the lead guitarist, and considered among the best in the world, although Angus himself said his brother Malcolm (Rhythm player in the band. Wearing the darker blue shirt in this video) was a better guitarist. I saw them in Atlanta at the Omni, and they were beyond brilliant. The best show EVER.

Malcolm and Angus Young are part of Australian rock n roll royalty. Their older brother George was a member of the fabulous Easy Beats (1964-69). George together with other ex-Easy Beats member Harry Vander would go onto produce early ACDC songs when they started out in 1973. (George Young and Harry Vander are the subjects of Dire Straits hit, Sultans of Swing). It's said that Angus Young developed his "duck walk" from having to dodge bottles throw at him on stage in Australian pubs in the '70s. Their concert Live at The River Plate is a massive anthology of ACDC hits!

A great band been around for decades even with the tragedy of their original singers death. Brian Johnson singing in this song started with them on their Back in Black album. But to really vamp things up a bit give Rammstein a listen. I would suggest Du Hast Live in Paris this band has a devout following and their entertainment value is just awsome.

For the ultimate Angus (lead guitar) experience try "Let their be rock" at the Apollo in Glasgow. (this is with the original singer, who died in 1980). Angus makes the energizer bunny seem lethargic, most of his solos are performed while he is vigorously head banging.

Believe it or not, Brian Johnson's speaking voice is a baritone growl. One of the most iconic, 'trademark' sort of voices in Rock & Roll. And what can you say about Angus Young? A frickin' Jedi Master of Rock & Roll guitar. His brother Malcolm, God rest him, doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves for holding the whole thing together with the rhythm guitar work that was the reinforced concrete foundation of AC⚡DC's signature sound. We grew up being spoiled by world-class music like AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Bob Seger, Journey, Def Leppard, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Starship, Led Zepplin, Ozzie Osbourne, BeeGees, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Don McLean, Kansas, Queen, Elton John, Styxx, Yes, Rush, Bad Company, Jethro Tull, Steely Dan, Foghat, Kiss... I could go on, but you get the idea. If we knew how bad music was going to suck today, we would have appreciated it more then.

I like to think he gargled hot asphalt as a kid to get that sound.
(Not true ) but that spitting gravelly voice would explain it.
Try "If you want blood, you got it"

Love a bit of AC/DC. You always get your money's worth with them. Try, when you can, to watch them performing live at River Plate. And Angus Young on that guitar, eh? Good reaction, I enjoyed it.

Only they can make 3 chords rock so hard lol
Brian here is awesome, but you should look into some of their live stuff with former lead singer Bon Scott! Let There Be Rock comes to mind!!🤘

And if you become a fan, as God intended lol, for a chuckle, look up comic Jim Brewer, talking about how they make any song rock, including the "Hokey Pokey" it is hilarious!😂

Once you start AD/DC you will not stop. My personal favorite is ''Shoot to Thrill''. Enjoy the ride.
