Italian orchestral death metal masters @FleshgodApocalypse have unplugged for a stunning new rendition of their song "The Day We'll Be Gone." The acoustic two-track digital single features an instrumental version and is accompanied by a studio performance video directed by Martina Lesley (Sanda Movies). The artwork was created once again by renowned visionary artist Travis Smith (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, OPETH, KATATONIA). The original song is found on the band's critically praised, 5th album "Veleno."
The band is also very proud to announce their new official line-up, featuring Veronica Bordacchini (vocals), Fabio Bartoletti (guitar) and Eugene Ryabchenko (drums).
FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE frontman Francesco Paoli states:
"In these uncertain times, we wanted to bare our inner souls and let the music speak for itself. This track pushes us out of our comfort zone as musicians and performer, proving that art in any form can survive the most dreadful circumstances. Given the current situation, it was the right time to do something truly experimental, a once in a lifetime musical exploration for the band.
Our recent live streaming concert introduced our new band members to a worldwide crowd, but this song really shows how strongly open minded and skilled they are. Me, Francesco and Paolo have been through this journey together for over a decade, but we haven't felt this good for a long time. That's why we're glad to announce them as official band members. Expect much more, sooner than you think."
Francesco adds:
"This is the best line-up we could ask for. Eugene is an absolute phenomenon on drums, so I'm really glad to pass the torch to a great successor. Fabio is a true guitar hero, extremely tight and tasteful. Veronica has been with us for 7 years now and even today her incredible talent never ceases to amaze me, so I know she can push her limits further in the future. Now our rehearsal room feels like home again."

Exactly, glad I'm not the only one. The combination of both voices with the lyrics is really almost painful to listen, painful because it brings out the true strong emotions. This was such an amazing sonic journey from a face melting band. As experimental as it is. This is something that needs to be released. A raw, humble and pure sound also expressed thru the voice of the most innocent child. Thank you so much for this.

Heck, their orchestral albums are already contemporary/modern Classical music, influenced by Tech Death Metal. Take the orchestral version of their 2016 King album, for instance. Some real motivational Richard Wagner-esque shit, right there.

Im sure I have already commented once, probably more. But I cant not come back to this song. Veronica's vocals are just.... wow. I dont have a full enough vocabulary to describe how amazing she is in this, and everything else for that matter.
I cant wait until these guys can make it back to the US. I was overwhelmingly excited for the show with the 4-piece in 2020, which was cancelled mere weeks before the show I was attending. I am still constantly disappointed by that.

I'm just gonna be honest, Fleshgod Apocalypse is the only death metal band i can listen to and my top 3 in favourite bands, the other two being DragonForce and Kamelot. There's just something really special about Fleshgod Apocalypse that differs them from typical death metal.

I've heard Communion and Persepolis. They're good, but I think it'll take some time for me to like them. I'm more of a power metal fan (Dragonforce, Kamelot, Sabaton to name a few) rather than much heavier genres of metal. I got to FA because of the symphonic elements.

Ascolto metal da quando ho 14 anni e ora ne ho 38...e nessuna band è riuscita nel tempo a farmi provare emozioni come loro... Ho visto il loro primissimo live e comprato il loro demo.. Da li in poi sono solo cresciuti con conposizioni incredibili.. E onestamente una band che fa un genere estremo e riesce a commuoverti, esaltarti, sfogare la rabbia..e qualsiasi altra cosa giuro...sono sicuro che molti di voi provano altre emozioni...non può che essere una delle migliori band della storia della musica.. In 2020 when I heard this song for the first time, my prayers where with those died due to COVID pandemics. Today I am in Ukraine and I see what is happening here in the middle of the hell of war. My prayers are with those killed by human ruthlessness and cruelty. Those civilian lives that never meant to be taken by someone playing god. This song makes me crying. Once more.
