Remembering the times when I was 18, discovering Alcest, now turning 31, the magic of Neige's music always remains the same!
Dans cette vidéo, il y a cette référence que le masculin (Yang) porte sa féminine (Yin) dans le parcours initiatique des Flammes Jumelles. Un clin d'oeil aussi à cette fameuse Danse des Flammes Jumelles : un ballet des âmes qui s'attirent comme des aimants et qui se rejettent à chaque apparition des peurs et des souffrances (les 5 blessures de l'âme) lors des reconnexions d'âmes ou retrouvailles, par effets miroirs... Le fil rouge qui les lie ne peut se rompre ! Les Flammes Jumelles (Twin Flames/Cosmic Twins) ont une mission divine à accomplir sur terre en ces temps de grands changements depuis 2012 (éveil et expansion des consciences, qui passent inévitablement par la nuit noire de l'âme). Les Flammes Jumelles Originelles, une fois réunies et leurs âmes fusionnées, grâce à la sexualité sacrée, trouveront la paix intérieure, leurs âmes prisonnières du cycle des réincarnations sur Terre seront libérées. This one has some very strong "Shelter" vibes (both the song and the choreography of the clip). I know I'm in the minority, but I really like the dreamy atmosphere of that album and still listen to it frequently. I applaud their decision to add some of those elements to the new release, though I'm not sure whether it's intentional. Great work.
It does and I appreciate the more dynamic drumming akin to Kodama mixed in.
While I consider some songs on Shelter being on the weaker side, there is a reason Alcest play Delivrance as an outro for all of their shows. It is just magical.

@@JonathanGarcia-iu3ln There's this one interview when Neige said he doesn't articulate on purpose when he's singing the lyrics coz he doesn't want people to understand the lyrics. For what I understand, maybe he wants us to not focus on the lyrics, but to hear the vocals the same way we hear the other instruments. For someone who doesn't speak french, I like how their songs give a lot of meaning already even before I try to read the lyrics. 🧡

Every new ALCEST Record sounds so fresh and complete different than the last. They have now Fear from the Future. I love this. And they have the most open minded Heart for create new iconic Records for Eternity. 🌬️
I really couldn’t agree more. Neige retains his own style more than enough that he manages to not offend most fans. The biggest part of this is that the dude is a legit musical genius, and it’s just legitimately hard to hate on such well crafted music. Most of us are here starting as black metal fans, but Alcest is barely black metal anymore. Hell, at least half of Alcest bares no resemblance to black metal. And it’s not like Neige shies away from black metal. He just does whatever the fuck he wants to do in that moment of time. I don’t think he even goes into it with any premeditated course. He just does what and where he’s at. Neige is easily in my top 5 musicians of all time. There’s pieces I like less than others, but overall he has never done wrong. There is nothing more exciting to me in the music world than new music from Neige/Alcest.

Alcest never misses, forever one of my favorite bands. When I was 14 they had a few snippets of Souvenirs D’un Autre Monde up on MySpace. I remember ripping them and listening to them everyday and grabbed the album as soon as preorders went up. Today at 31 years old, Alcest still hits the spot and I will continue to support them for as long as they’re around. This track has been on repeat all damn day!

Song is actually pretty simple, just pushing the main riff makes it catchy, but the video just flows in an incredible way. Amazing art work

That burst into synced dancing at 2:41 is so powerful. The whole video is absolutely beautiful and fits the music like a glove. Props to the two dancers and the cutter as the transitions between the settings and the overall composition is also very well done. No need to mention that the music of Alcest is not the icing on the cake, but the whole bakery.

I don't get the specific meaning of the dances (emulating flames?) but it feels so beautiful and soothing inside that I don't even care to really rationalize it. It's simply art in its pure essence of warm beauty. Love to see an Alcest official video
The song is about the memories of someone lost. So I think the purple haireds girl plays the "memory" and the blonde the one who's missing her.
