If you're fine with musicals, you can try 'A Dangerous Game' from Jekyll&Hyde (Anthony Warlow version preferably). I think it's quite similar to the DWTD - it's dark, full of passion, but most of all it's just a wonderful duet.

A simple tango that turns into a dramatic, operatic, rhythmically compelling and orchestrally emphatic and beautifully filmed romantic confrontation … just so much … done so well … absolutely amazing.
This entire video is a masterpiece! But can we just take a moment and appreciate the performance of the men who acted as mannequins in the background! There performance is so clean and convincing. Absolute sheer magnificence!
There are so many fascinating details in the video...the sleeves of Dark Sarah 's dress are lace, which one can literally "see right through " just as she is lying for all she's worth- and matches the lace at the Dragon's cuffs. So do her striped stockings (reminiscent of the witch crushed by the house in The Wizard of Oz) match the singlet or undershirt you can see the Dragon wearing in several of the later frames. Steampunk devotees (or recent bridal participants )will recognize the Dragon 's jacket as a tailcoat, hence the poke about his tail (which in his dragon manifestation he would of course possess) as if he were treading on her foot (as if!) is even sharper. There are so many non-accidental matching details that are subliminally telling us that they are a pair: beautiful and charming, covetous, territorial, and dangerous ( was it one , two, or more guys Dark Sarah burned alive- which would probably be a dragon's go-to method). As far as misogyny accusations go, neither party is a sweet innocent, and dragons, male or female, are not generally on the losing side of power dynamics. If I were to find someone literally caught red-handed, with their hand in my pocket, as they're playing with my hair to distract me and singing about kindness and forgiveness, I might possibly react more strongly than the Dragon does. Misogyny is dislike, dismissal, or discrimination against women, qua women. Honestly, as appealing as she is, Dark Sarah has more than earned the hard-line response she encounters, as a person, if of the female persuasion. And the tango, beautifully done BTW, is more a mating ritual than "putting women in their place". There are similar matches and messages in Trespasser, as well. ( And did anyone else see the slightly lopsided heart in the end of the first campfire scene, made of moonlight and shadows, and a subtle one in the rocks and embers of the fire? The fleeting blue flashes from both of their black garments in the early scenes? Dark Sarah's dragon's tooth necklace? ) This would be equivalent to the nuances of great literature. And you see it after your views of these outrageously gorgeous videos mounts into the dozens. I only wish I could give the time of these notes, but I am old enough not to be great at tech. The musical opulence, the vocal magic, the passionate emotion matches the visual splendor and the brilliant artistry. Wow! The late, great Jim Steinman said, " You've got to go over the top to see what's on the other side." There can't be anything better... but I can't wait for more.
Disney isn't a bad comparison with some of their stuff. I swear the song "Wish" from The Golden Moth sounds like something from a Disney animated movie. Which makes it a bit more jarring when it's followed up by "The Gods Speak" (and then "Promise," making three completely different styles in a span of three songs representing an extreme roller coaster ride of emotion).

Lost count of how many times I've watched this in the last three days, it's almost on permanent repeat. JP's voice is so perfect for this character, seductive with a hint of menace. If only it were possible to dance a tango with the Dragon (sighs heavily)
Dark Sarah's music is written by Mikko P. Mustonen (who also writes the orchestrations for Sonata Arctica), he is such a genius, he deserves more than simply being mentioned in the credits.

Found this by accident and can't stop listening, there is a truly haunting beauty to the vocals and I love the sinister statue like nature of the musicians like they are mere extensions of this man's dark delusions of eternal love
Are the musicians dressed in Confederate uniforms? ( If you're not from the USA, that would be our Civil War/War between the States 1860-1864.) Because, what, stuck in the past? A lost cause? Glamor with evil?
....As the intense instrumental lead kicks in, Dark Sarah begins to fall under the Dragon's spell....he shows her a vision of what it could be like if she were to voluntarily choose to stay.....but then she realizes what is happening and pulls out of the beautiful trance. It is then that you can see the utter longing and loneliness in his eyes - and then he realizes that it was all for naught......
The style is somewhat new to me. I'm usually not much of a fan of gothic metal, at least what I've heard. I'm more death/progressive-ish I suppose. Though recently been getting into Fleshgod. I really loved this song though. I love the interplay also w/the female AND male voices. Melody is just superb and the heavy parts kill. I kinda stumbled on this being a fan of JP. :)

I never really got into gothic, even though I like the 'look' or culture to an extent. I've also never been a fan of female singers in metal...just a thing w/me. I do like some black and doom as well. In fact I just saw Swallow the Sun a few days ago, for the first time!

reminds me about a mix between Phantom of the opera and a very darker version of Beauty and the Beast (the beast being a dragon in disguise of a human that holds the beauty as prisoner in his castle for his own joy and need of compassion). Love this song!

My friend introduced me to this song thinking it would remind me of an interaction our dungeons and dragons party (specifically my character) would have with the BBEG Count Strahd Von Zarovich. I see the two vocalists in the song engaging in some mental battle where both are trying to outsmart or deceive the other. The subtlety of the dance is something that caught my attention. Not only is Sarah trying to outsmart this man, she is using massive amounts of psychology to avert him in every way which is something I do when interacting with Strahd in our campaign. I first try to negotiate, then avoid and finally outsmart. Additionally I find it interesting how the man knows exactly how she is going to react as if he has seen these tricks before. At its core I see this as a battle of wits and psychological and social intelligence with the goal being to dominate the other person.
If there is a dance which can express the "ragdoll" mention, it is Tango of course. Love all the elements in this music video - everything is going together perfectly well, sounds and optics, a feast for ear and eye and more!

There are so many non-accidental matching details that are subliminally telling us that they are a pair: beautiful and charming, covetous, territorial, and dangerous ( was it one , two, or more guys Dark Sarah burned alive- which would probably be a dragon's go-to method).
As far as misogyny accusations go, neither party is a sweet innocent, and dragons, male or female, are not generally on the losing side of power dynamics. If I were to find someone literally caught red-handed, with their hand in my pocket, as they're playing with my hair to distract me and singing about kindness and forgiveness, I might possibly react more strongly than the Dragon does. Misogyny is dislike, dismissal, or discrimination against women, qua women. Honestly, as appealing as she is, Dark Sarah has more than earned the hard-line response she encounters, as a person, if of the female persuasion. And the tango, beautifully done BTW, is more a mating ritual than "putting women in their place". There are similar matches and messages in Trespasser, as well. ( And did anyone else see the slightly lopsided heart in the end of the first campfire scene, made of moonlight and shadows, and a subtle one in the rocks and embers of the fire? The fleeting blue flashes from both of their black garments in the early scenes? Dark Sarah's dragon's tooth necklace? ) This would be equivalent to the nuances of great literature. And you see it after your views of these outrageously gorgeous videos mounts into the dozens. I only wish I could give the time of these notes, but I am old enough not to be great at tech. The musical opulence, the vocal magic, the passionate emotion matches the visual splendor and the brilliant artistry. Wow!

Disney isn't a bad comparison with some of their stuff. I swear the song "Wish" from The Golden Moth sounds like something from a Disney animated movie. Which makes it a bit more jarring when it's followed up by "The Gods Speak" (and then "Promise," making three completely different styles in a span of three songs representing an extreme roller coaster ride of emotion).

It is then that you can see the utter longing and loneliness in his eyes - and then he realizes that it was all for naught......

The style is somewhat new to me. I'm usually not much of a fan of gothic metal, at least what I've heard. I'm more death/progressive-ish I suppose. Though recently been getting into Fleshgod. I really loved this song though. I love the interplay also w/the female AND male voices. Melody is just superb and the heavy parts kill.

My friend introduced me to this song thinking it would remind me of an interaction our dungeons and dragons party (specifically my character) would have with the BBEG Count Strahd Von Zarovich. I see the two vocalists in the song engaging in some mental battle where both are trying to outsmart or deceive the other. The subtlety of the dance is something that caught my attention. Not only is Sarah trying to outsmart this man, she is using massive amounts of psychology to avert him in every way which is something I do when interacting with Strahd in our campaign. I first try to negotiate, then avoid and finally outsmart. Additionally I find it interesting how the man knows exactly how she is going to react as if he has seen these tricks before. At its core I see this as a battle of wits and psychological and social intelligence with the goal being to dominate the other person.
I'm not a fan of musicals, don't care for dancing, yet I can't get enough of this song. I'd happily sit through a whole show of this!
