Great job! I just picked up an '84 C20, auto, 350 custom deluxe, really straight, one owner California truck. No rust and unmolested, I'll probably keep it for a bit, clean it up really well and sell it. I'm in Mass, west of Boston if anyone's interested. I've been looking around for a while and I love the small-blocks, never a huge fan of the eighties square trucks (always loved 60s/70s all of them) but I'm holding on to the analog world as long as possible. There's something about just sitting in these trucks and just literally breathing them in. I had a '93 F-350 7.3 IH factory turbo diesel, six speed overdrive and it was just way more truck than I needed, but what a sweet rig. I let it go cheap because I'd been given a decent deal on it. Anyway, nice video and tks for posting.
MAN !!!!!!!!!!! THAT S A BADASS TRUCK !!!!!!!!!! IT S A TRIP HOW IT LOOKS AFTER ALL THE ACCESSORIES GET PUT ON , TOP NOTCH WORK , LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That different way putting back trim piece back on. The easy way hook on bottom then lift up then let come down on top hooks. I like how projects coming looks great ...👍
Super nice step side, thanks for the detail build information/knowledge. Again lots of helpful information. Also, like the original look too. Really nice truck! 1986 red short bed step side with LY6 transmision and factory hurst shifter in my garage. LY6 option is the New Process 4 speed overdrive transmission GM used.
I'm a big fan of the muscle truck style builds, you know - lowered, wider wheels, much more power, etc, etc. But this is a lovely clean project that I can really appreciate the "getting it just right" aspects of. Nice job man, looking good.
Hey Kyle. I'm finally getting caught up and Yeah, I dig. I know Grandma would love all the work you've put into her old C10, too. That thing is looking mint, especially the grill!😍👌 Something else I want to mention... I appreciate the quality choice of music you put in your videos. A lot of the channels I watch put the sh!ttiest music in their montages and I find myself turning the volume down then having to turn it back up when they start talking again. I never have to do that with your videos... just set it and forget it. It's the little things that I appreciate the most.😅 Sorry for rambling. I'm really enjoying this series, dude. Much respect for going the extra mile or two and doing it right. Have a great weekend.👍
Grandma's truck is looking great man, nice work! i would suggest re-upholster the seat, it's expensive, but usually worth it. will outlast any repro covers imho.
Love the attention to detail! I only saw one thing that needs to be addressed. That is the exhaust system. A nice header back 2.5in flowmaster system would be perfect. Not real loud, but have a little deep rumble and be all new and fresh!
This is so awesome wish you could do my dads 1974 chevy cheyenne c 20. You care about what your doing bthen alot of guys around here I've spent 1000's of dollars and still looks bad.
If you have airhorns, get an airbrake gauge from a C60 and mount it in the empty hole in the bottom left. It's 150psi and will look stock and give you an air guage.
Fabforums, I noticed you were complaining about the gauge faces being yellow, you may try using hydrogen peroxide and UV lighting to remove the yellow. They call it retrobrighting and alot of video game restoration guys use it.
Nice truck , those fender emblems go further down on the fender , just below that line on the flat part of the fender , if you put it up where you had it , it won’t look good , it looks off .
Man all that red gives me anxiety.Reminds me of all the dam fox bodies that had red interior that turned pink or white.First thing i always did was swap to black or grey
Btw, have you ever tried soda blasting vinyl door panels to reveal better pigment under faded surface? I've not done it, just wondering if anyone has? Also, all your interior door pieces, switches, chrome, covers, etc, where are you sourcing? Thanks.
Where do you get your stuff for the c10 and can you list the stuff you bought and where and also what kind of ceramic you gonna put on and where to buy. Thanks
Pledge works great to detail the plastics and rubber under the hood. Try it, it gives it the right sheen. Also, I didn't see if you painted the inner fenders and battery tray. You cant eave the e coating it will rust super fast. It was meant to only protect parts for shipping. Needs uv protection
I understand you’re after the original look but a set of Detroitsteel 20” delrays would really set the truck off imo. It will still have the original classic look with a bit of a modern touch with the bigger wheels. Either way I’ve been enjoying watching your c10 series. Also where did you order your side view mirrors? I ordered some about 2 months ago and they’re still back ordered.
Where are you located. I have owned an 83 for 35 yrs.i have saved for 30 yrs so I could leave it like it came off the factory floor. I used it as my personal drive and farmed with it.BUT I have taken care of it like a baby . Can't go anywhere without people wanting to buy it. Would you or. Know someone that deserves the honor of rebuilding her . I live in lascassas tn
What was the tool you purchased to take off the plate that holds the horn and turn signal items . That little ring in there is a nightmare. I snapped my horn and need to replace that plastic holder . Thanks , great build by the way.
know what makes chevy so great i can get any part for them new for my 65,67,68,78,79,79 4x4 and i get the ho 454 bbc for free all the time with low miles on them at 450 hp with 485 torque crate engine .
Beautiful. No fancy electronics Just simple . Wish they still make them like this
The details you don't immediately notice are what make the build, great work!
She's a Peach Clark!!
Yep and those are the ones that usually take the longest all in all
Man that truck is turning out awesome. You got a cool ass granny. She has good taste in trucks. Can't wait to see it all together.
You did an awesome job with that truck. And I really appreciate that you put it back all stock. Great job congratulations.

That different way putting back trim piece back on. The easy way hook on bottom then lift up then let come down on top hooks. I like how projects coming looks great ...👍

Love the attention to detail! I only saw one thing that needs to be addressed. That is the exhaust system. A nice header back 2.5in flowmaster system would be perfect. Not real loud, but have a little deep rumble and be all new and fresh!

Super nice,a new windshield would really top it off

Two most important components of a good build: Time and money.
I could use more of both!!
Look great,I am ready to paint my,what paint do you use?
Btw, have you ever tried soda blasting vinyl door panels to reveal better pigment under faded surface? I've not done it, just wondering if anyone has? Also, all your interior door pieces, switches, chrome, covers, etc, where are you sourcing? Thanks.
