Man I always liked painting them two tone square bodys. Nothing worse than a gun plugin up in the middle of a job.I just found your channel this morning. I think it looks damn good.I know that filling your having there ain't nothing better almost done now. Really looks good.
@NativeSteel-dl2wb yea that gun about had me mentally exhausted before I figured it out. For sure, there's no better feeling then when u finally get to this point of it! I appreciate you watching
Been looking for a candidate to paint sage green myself. A buddy had one similar, sage green with white top , K30 454, 8” with 38 TSL back in the late 80’s. Nice looking square!
That colour or steel cities gray are exactly the two colours I would’ve pick! Man you do nice work! Just subscribed so hope to see more. I know my spelling of colours is different being Canadian and all.
I would ditch the internal filters immediately, they suck. You already ran the paint through that paper filter, it’s fine and more paint will come out of your gun, allowing for a wetter and smoother finish.
@ yeah that’s how long I’ve been doing it, I always get that stuff off an pat them epoxy primer, I had always heard to get that stuff of it’s not a good base for paint, but if you been painting over it that long that blows that theory, we were having trouble in the 80s with it when I started sanding it off I was finding rust under to
@jamiedriscoll9781 after u get the clear coat cured out you can wet sand and buff depending on how slick you want it, just make sure you put on enough clear If your planning on doing that
If the hole under that little cap on the large cap of your spray gun is restricted you will end up with the issue that seems to be happening in your video. Also those filters in the gun are really useless especially if you are using strainers for your materials so there’s no need to use them.
My K20 is brown metalic with tan two tone in the middle. I didn't do the tan on the roof it looks like just too much two tone. Factory correct is to have the two tone on the roof. I outlined the two tone in two 1/4" pinstripes, cuz I didn't like the look of all metal trim. I also didn't put caps on the rear axle flanges, I like the look of the 3/4 ton full floating axle hubs.
@stoveguy2133 yea dust in an open shop is always hard to deal with, I did a good clean before I started, and luckily I didn't end up with any in my paint or clear.
I wouldn't have picked that color, but after seeing it on the truck WOW, nice choice!
My thoughts exactly
I agree. It looks great.
That turned out absolutely awesome! You did a really great job!
Beautiful looking truck...definitely a nice color choice. Great work!
You're doing an awesome job, I think the sage green looks good, and I've never seen one that color, she will be proud of it.

Excellent prep and painting technique on a straight truck. After watching other channels, this is the high point of hobby auto body. 😊
Nice work. I just finished a 73 c20 for a guy at work. Painted it in the original olive green, it was his grandpa's truck.
Super pretty colors!

Love the color combination. Good job!
I have a 99 Goldwing with that green as the main color. It gets a lot of positive comments.
Looks really nice. Great Job!

@@erict313 2 inch lift and the tires are 285 / 75 / 16
@paintman26 any idea how wide the rims are by chance? Beautiful paint job by the way too.
@erict313 Thanks! They are 8 inch

What A/c compressor kit is that? I been looking for one like that. Nice job on painting that sweet square body man.
@@BrothersAutoRepair Thank you! It's old air products
I know nothing about painting, so is wet sanding only for show vehicles or expensive vehicles?
@jamiedriscoll9781 after u get the clear coat cured out you can wet sand and buff depending on how slick you want it, just make sure you put on enough clear If your planning on doing that

Y didn't you paint the cab corners
@SantiagoFranco-db3ke there's another video of the whole cab being painted inside and out

Your welcome
Roof of the cab should be white too.
@michaelwilharms570 some like it that way and some don't
