Well done. It's pleasure to see another truck being restored. My dad Has 77 Ford 350 and I have 95 K1500 when people tell us "you are driving old trucks" I say "I'm driving a piece of american history"
My father has one of these old square bodies that he’s had for over 30 years and he’s had it painted and reconstructed (half-heartedly) FOUR times, but it was never done properly. I wish this could’ve been his truck being restored. Two months before he passed away right before Father’s Day (2018) he told me I could have it ... I’ve always wanted that truck to be RIGHT for him, but unfortunately, he never will see it. I don’t want to get rid of it but as it sits, the cab is rotten and it needs to be redone (along with a few other things to make it roadworthy) but every time I get in it, I can’t but help to think of my father and I get emotional. It’s got a lot of sentimental value, (I’m fighting tears now typing this) but I keep getting pressured to sell it. I really want to keep it and just fix what needs to be done and retain the look and smell ... it’s the only thing we’ve got left to remind us of him. Over 30 years worth of memories... I miss you dad 😔
Dont get rid of it. You will never live it down inside. Im restoring my little by little when I have time. You will love it when it's done. Rot can be replaced. Your dad will see it as he looks down on you and I'm sure he will be very proud of you.
you've done a fantastic job on the old chevy. i hope mine turns out as well. i have a 1976 k20 camper special. it's never been restored, and it's time. i'm the third owner. i don't think i'd ever have the heart to sell it. my daughter asked if she could have it to drive in high school. i'd feel much better her driving that then some plastic job they put out these days. thanks for sharing your restoration with us. i'm sure many people will be looking at it as they do their own. have a great day!
I bought a 78 Chevy Camper Special when I graduated high screwl 1ton running gear ,still driving that bad boy but hoping to restore it soon .GREAT JOB !
Gonna use this vid as a template when working on my truck, beautiful job .If your patient you can find one like I did .'75 c10 6cyl, 3 on the tree,29k miles light blue. After three days of cleaning , buffing wax on wax off she looked like two different trucks.Gonna be watching this one a few times .
This truck looks better than new!!! I graduated High School in 1979 and looked to buy one of these trucks. However, if memory serves me right it cost about $9000.00. I didn't want to go that deep into debt straight out of High School. So, I bought a new 1979 Datsun King Cab in Blue. I had a lot of fun in that little truck. I still love the look of the square body Chevrolet!
GREAT JOB.... I love restoring old cars and trucks. Im an old school guy, I bring them back to as close to stock as I can. No Hokey ghetto wheels, or LS... whatever with a GILLION HORSEPOWER, that no one will ever use.... or 17 stage paint jobs... Whatever... Bring it back to stock and drive it.
Wow...Amazing Job. Thank God there was no 22" rims or hydraulics. It's very inspiring and see that the oldies haven't been forgotten I always appreciated vehicle's from the past. Great Job!
Great looking truck. Good job on binging this old truck back to its former glory. I am currently restoring a 79 K10 short wheel base. Swapped to a stepside bed and an 85 front clip. 7 inches of lift on 38'S. Truck was a comple rust bucket when I got it. Long process, but truly worth it in the end.
Man super awesome and clean job, I'm looking forward to starting a project like this but with a k10 4x4, super awesome, everything was restored. inspiring.
I love the older chevy trucks, but if I ever restore my own, I will install a 4 speed manual transmission, I don't hate automatics, but I do prefer a manual shift. This old truck looks like new, Great job!!!
My dad had one of these when I was growing up some of my fondest memories where of that blue and white Some day I Plan on finding one for myself.. Thanks for Sharing !!
About 5 minutes in I said this looks like a Yezzi build. Beautiful work Joe. Personally I would have had to roll with that patina for awhile, but there's no arguing that the outcome is spectacular.
Looks amazing. I know it’s all about going with the original theme, but the only thing I think that would be beneficial to update would be 4 wheel disc brakes
Absolutely beautiful. Glad to see you didn't ruin it with huge diameter GHETTO wheels with painted on tread and a computer controlled emissionized EFI engine. It looks just like it did when it was new. I wish I could afford something like that.
I know this a older video, just ran across it, beautiful truck, you guys guys did a excellent job on restoration, looks great, my brother has a 1984 silverado, he bought it new, same color combination, still drives sometimes, like they say Nothing Heavy As A Chevy, own 3 Chevy trucks myself, excellent video.
this vide made me cry. Perhaps this lately more sensitive than usual or I see my dream reflected in that machine that is my dream to have a truck of those I have a beautiful blessing brothers of the mechanic salute from Chile the last corner of the world
Beautiful, original restoration. My first truck was a 74 C10 Custom Deluxe, long bed. I would gladly trade my 03 Durango SLT for one of those squarebody trucks, any day.
Si armó todo nuevo quito lo viejo hasta el motor original se lo quito entonces no fue restauración quitó lo original para meter todo nuevo ya esa troka tiene el valor de una del año
My dad had a 78 Silverado c/10 30 years ago but he barely bought it again, he was in tears when he got it back, and he regretted selling it and me and him are fixing it up
Excellent Job guys. I just bought a 76 Silverado after years of looking for one that I could actually afford, My dad had a 76 when I was a kid and it's always been my dream truck. I'm going to do a frame off rebuild too but I'm going to do mine a little different. I'm going to put a 5.3 LS and the auto trans out of a 97 Yukon. Why? because it only has 14,000 miles on it and it's free, my aunt bought the Yukon brand new and a year later a drunk driver hit it while it was parked on the street and completely totaled it. I'm also going to do a disc brake conversation and lower it a little, not slammed to the ground just and inch and half or 2 inches in the front and level the rear. I'm going to try to use the seats and the center console from the Yukon also because they are the color I want for the interior but I'm afraid they might be too wide. I'm going to paint it the Burnt Orange that GM used for the 76 Camaro and Corvette with a Buck skin Brown Roof, my dads truck was Buckskin Brown so I want to have a little bit of his flavor on the truck. I'm going to sandblast the wheels that are already on it and paint them Buckskin Brown also and then get some 70's repop center caps for the wheels and then paint the Chevy emblem Burnt Orange also just to with the body color.
@@robertcoleman-smith8310 it's nice think it sets a little too low for my taste I'm not saying it needs a lift kit but I just think it needs to sit a few inches higher I don't like my trucks to sit like a car but it's not mine so he can do what he wants to each his own
Few people have the discipline to spend this kind of money and insane hours to restore with minor mods. Most all of us gear heads will go "Resto-mod" with those rescources. But its a beautiful day to see this level of build on damn near stock square body.
I've got a 84, single cab dually, 454 King pin Dana 60 front end. All the good heavy stuff. Limited edition Silverado. The beginning of the package Silverado. Most people don't know, Silverado was a package first like ac, clock. Stuff simple but gm made it a brand.
I have a 1979 C10. It's been painted and body worked 3 times and still ain't done right. But I think it's best to take your time with this type of restoration. It's always bad when you try getting done in all at once.
Nice. I’m still driving the 79 GMC that my father purchased new . He passed it to me after he died in 98. I will pass it to my grandson. Great video
Well done. It's pleasure to see another truck being restored.
My dad Has 77 Ford 350 and I have 95 K1500 when people tell us "you are driving old trucks" I say "I'm driving a piece of american history"

Recobro del Señor
Don’t sell it you’ll regret it FOREVER!! And I mean as long as you live
You’ll regret getting rid of it.

Nice to see one of these trucks being restored, and not ruined by being lowered or raised.
Beautiful. My Dad had a '78 green and white when I was a teenager. I always wanted one. Never had the money.
Nice to see it restored and not modded
Non stock Holley carburetor and headers are modifications.
Fantastic job with the restoration... looks cleaner than when it came off the line
simply STUNNING!! so glad you DIDN'T remove all the trim like so many do, these trucks look fantastic with ALL the jewelry inplace
you've done a fantastic job on the old chevy. i hope mine turns out as well. i have a 1976 k20 camper special. it's never been restored, and it's time. i'm the third owner. i don't think i'd ever have the heart to sell it. my daughter asked if she could have it to drive in high school. i'd feel much better her driving that then some plastic job they put out these days. thanks for sharing your restoration with us. i'm sure many people will be looking at it as they do their own. have a great day!
Loved the restoration. Had to turn the volume down.
I got a ‘79 custom deluxe that my tata bought right off the lot. You Inspired me to clean her up and get her on the streetz. Thanks. Tucson, Az....
Been daily driving my 84 C10 for 18 years now. I hope to have it look this nice some day. I do a little at a time but don’t have the best resources.
If I were to purchase a rebuilt truck I’d definitely get one from you. You leave no stone unturned.
Man... Super nice build! Was my first Truck I bought when I was 16!
I bought a 78 Chevy Camper Special when I graduated high screwl 1ton running gear ,still driving that bad boy but hoping to restore it soon .GREAT JOB !

That's what I'm going with my 73 2 tone white and blue a classic. Your truck looks amazing!
Wow. This pick up is absolutely gorgeous and done to perfection. Love it completely original. Enjoy
Well done. Looks like a life size model you put together.
This truck looks better than new!!! I graduated High School in 1979 and looked to buy one of these trucks. However, if memory serves me right it cost about $9000.00. Those 73-early88 Squarebody Gm Trucks & Suvs have became very popular now for 20 years luv the either lifted or lowered cool truck.

I have the exact same model long bed and I am currently working my hardest to make it as beautiful as yours
I could stand in your driveway and drool for hours!! I will find a way to have one of these one day!!! Great job by the way
Wow...Amazing Job. Thank God there was no 22" rims or hydraulics. It's very inspiring and see that the oldies haven't been forgotten I always appreciated vehicle's from the past. Great Job!
You mean air suspension? No one uses hydros any more. Lol
My first truck was a 74 Chevy stepside with a 454. These are great trucks! Every day I wish I had her back.
MY FAVORITE body style Chevy. Got an '86 K20 Silverado. Awesome channel.

Great restoration, absolutely love it as I’m restoring 75 Scottsdale right now. I just hoped that I would hear the car at the end of your video!!
This is exactly what I like watching my dad has a 78 Cheyenne 20 with a 350 I tell you what it’s a cold blooded son of of a gun but it’s a good truck
Great job. I'm doing the same on my 78 C20 in the UK, if it looks anywhere as good as this I will be well pleased.
I love the older chevy trucks, but if I ever restore my own, I will install a 4 speed manual transmission, I don't hate automatics, but I do prefer a manual shift. This old truck looks like new, Great job!!!
this is how its done i see so many people paint over rust and cut corners all the time ......nice job and it shows
Immaculate restoration.. out of this park. Great job
Had a 76 GMC that I now wish I still owned!! Easy to work on and just plain simple.
Mighty fine work you did there sir, it’s beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful. Glad to see you didn't ruin it with huge diameter GHETTO wheels with painted on tread and a computer controlled emissionized EFI engine. It looks just like it did when it was new. I wish I could afford something like that.

Very nice build. I love those old square body Chevys. But the only thing wrong is that’s a 73-74 grill.
Another video you got to watch with the sound off
I agree
Joseph Atnip what are your thought on the build?
So?
Joseph Atnip Have a cry you sook

I hope my 82 chevy c10 turns out just as beautiful 😲😲
Why must all square body builds be lowered, they look great at stock ride height...
because you gain like 20 hp. duh
How can they gain horsepower or are you just being sarcastic?
MICHAEL DAVIS if u have to ask that, you don deserve a good answer lol
i love the stock look on my 83 chevy sub but it has a custom look.
At least they didn’t air ride it.
What a beautiful machine!!! Great job guy😀😁😂☺🙂😊
Super toll gemacht ! Besser wie neu ! Respekt für deine Arbeit !!!
Translation: Very expensive to do! Better than new! Much respect for the work you did!!! (I speak some German)
