I know this might sound odd given it was Queen Elizabeth's funeral but the whole ceremony from start to finish was the most awe-inspiring, grand, majestic thing I've ever seen in my 64 yrs of life. The tradition, the history, everything was immaculate.
So many things could have gone wrong and didn't. Although the funeral was planned decades ago, the many participants had 10 or fewer days to finalise plans, drop everything and rehearse so that the choreography and timings would perfect. How on earth are they able to synchronise the individual cannon shots in the royal parks some distance away with the tolling of the muffled Big Ben so they happen at the same instant, for example? It makes you wonder why the country can't be governed with the same precision. You couldn't get much more of a contrast between this outstanding recent public event and the universally acknowledged current parliamentary chaos.
This was what the Queen wanted, surrounded by her military. She even chose the tunes so they would not have to weorry about guessing! She is missed no doubt about that. RIP.

Thanks for posting this! I think the “Bearer Party” deserve special recommendations for their most important and central role. The calm, quiet voice of the officer, “Bearer Party, stand still”, or sotto voce guiding their feet with “In, out” (inner / outer feet) to keep the coffin level: all conducted smoothly with meticulous precision. Well done, lads.
I've been watching these bands for years & it always amazes me how many are such proficient musicians. Decade after decade they just keep coming. This was uplifting after a somber day.
I was simply amazed and I have to say every single member of the armed forces did a sublime job from parade right down to getting all their uniforms on point.
Thank you to everyone for this very impressive presentation. I watched the queen's entire funeral and I don't think I'll ever forget the sound of the drum keeping time and the sight and sound of a marching band is incredible. I don't mean to take the queen's passing lightly, but these men certainly cut a fine figure when in their glory. No wonder the queen was so proud of you. I know there are people who criticize keeping the age-old traditions, but this is one that absolutely must be kept. Again, thank you from America.
Thank you for filming and posting this! I'm an American, there would have been no way to see this otherwise. What a treat for those that stuck around after the funeral! Looks like you were blessed by a gorgeous day!
Every one of you should be bursting pride. You gave our late monarch a fitting send off,no other country could have carried it off. Well done and thank you.
It’s wonderful to see this; all week I’ve had the sad funeral march tunes stuck in my ear. It cheers me to know that the bands and soldiers marched back to barracks to such rousing music. It must have been lively with every band playing something different!
Thank you for showing these parades after the Queens funeral. Well done to everyone that was involved in the queens funeral . You did yourselves proud, you did GB /Uk proud and most important of all you did the Queen proud . THANK YOU LADIES AND GENTS OF OUR SERVING FORCES . God bless.
Brilliant!! They did proudly for Her and His Majesty and the British Nation. Where were the Gurkhas? It would have been nice if you had the initual bands names as well. Wonderful job. Thanks for putting this out. They all deserve great credit. God Bless the Queen. God Save and Bless the King. I never expected to feel so affected by the Queen's passing, but I have. A great lady. Duty and service, honour,, humility, Faith and dignity to the end. Respect!! These were British qualities that, as my father, an anglophile, said, kept the British Empire going and were characteristics if true British that made them respected all over the world. Growing up in a very recently post colonial country at that time, I didn't have the same fervor he did for Britain or the monarchy, but by God, you did Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II proud, and my respect for her over the years has increased exponentially. A wonderful lady who embofied all the old British strengths of character, including stoicism and the British stiff upper lip that we grew up recognising and respecting as an intrinsic British quality, and emulating. What a pity we see so little of it in the more recent times, where Britain appears to have gone politically correct, woke and weak. Go back to those old qualities Britain. Relearn about and teach and educate your children on all you had much to be proud of. This week of mourning the Queen and open discussions worldwide about your history, which is three quarters of the world's history via colonialism, should be taught factually and correctly, much as many if ys in the "colinirs" learnt it studying in British based education systems you left us. Thank you for that and I have to admit, many other things I have onky acknowledged lately in life. I guess my father was right lol. I don't look forward to telling him so . God Bless the King.🙏🙏🙏🇱🇰🇰🇪🇨🇦
Thank you, Simon, for the update regarding Gurkhas. Such fierce fighting force for their homeland and for HRM, the King. Their training is quite excellent, really.
No need for sarcasm guys, I think Michael was trying to compliment them and try to make sure they were not overlooked as they were greatly outnumbered and I agree they were impeccable.
It must be wonderful to experience that comraderie and be moving together as one while making music. I love the outfits and the marching. They should all be very proud of a job perfectly done. Even thought the plans were in place for when the Queen died, people rushed to London from all around the world and quickly practiced their routines. I could watch this all day. Very uplifting.
This was wonderful…. I was in London for the changing of the guard just before the Queen passed…. Thank you for sharing this band video… I am a military band geek….
Reminds me of funerals in New Orleans, LA. Funeral music to the cemetery, jazz on the way back. "Life goes on, the person celebrated is at rest now". From Chicago, U.S.A.

Queen would have been proud. Fantastic as they given as we the public didn't see this who watched it on tv. Deserve a medal. Who didn't stay around for this display of duty to the queen.
This video reminds me to the proceeding of brass bands on funerals here in Bavaria where I live: On the way from the church to the cemetery the band plays the saddest funeral marches they are in charge. But on their way from the cemetery to the inn for the funeral meal you can hear the happiest marches you can imagine. My late dad said one: _»A funeral meal is for the living, and live goes on…«_
The Queen had planned her funeral and this was yet another example of her unerring sense of what was appropriate for the occasion and what an almighty and wonderful send off it was; solomn, poignant, dignified and disciplined, astoundingly beautiful and will never be forgotten, just like our remarkable and gracious Queen.
I love the fact that after her laying to rest, she had planned it for them to play such joyful music afterwards, while returning to the barracks. She planned it so beautifully in every way. ❤️

This is so beautiful. The practice, talent and everything is so precise and In step. Thankful I can watch in this video. It must have been an amazing and very memorable experience to be there in person. They all should be very proud. I'm sure Queen Elizabeth enjoyed hearing them play and watch them in their great precision. Thank you for this wonderful video.
From USA 🇺🇸
Cool 🇬🇧🇺🇸

So lovely to watch.Every single one of them did Her Late Majesty proud. Well done
May God bless the British Army, the United kingdom and Northern Ireland.
One big family mourning one of our loved ones the matriarch of our country God save the King
Why?
@@sjefhendrickx2257 taken you 6 months to come up with a pointless question 🤣🇬🇧🇬🇧
If you have to ask "Why" you should not be on this site or in Britain.@@sjefhendrickx2257
I watched in awe and wonder at the majestic and staunch display of discipline and training during the funeral ...(must admit , I kept thinking that they're feet must have be killing them by the end and they'd be longing for a cuppa ) But look at that precision and strength and duty after such an incredibly long day ....absolutely bloody marvellous!! You all made her Majesty very proud indeed!
🇬🇧🇦🇺👏❤️😊👏
Thanks for posting this! I think the “Bearer Party” deserve special recommendations for their most important and central role. The calm, quiet voice of the officer, “Bearer Party, stand still”, or sotto voce guiding their feet with “In, out” (inner / outer feet) to keep the coffin level: all conducted smoothly with meticulous precision. Well done, lads.
Kudos to ALL! Stellar performances by everyone!
I've been watching these bands for years & it always amazes me how many are such proficient musicians. Decade after decade they just keep coming. This was uplifting after a somber day.
I was simply amazed and I have to say every single member of the armed forces did a sublime job from parade right down to getting all their uniforms on point.
Stand tall Stand proud job done. Thank you.
That was lovely and incredible. After such a long and emotional day for them all, still carrying forth perfectly. They did such an incredible job.
Between them playing and marching it is truly amazing. They did their Queen proud and also their units.
Hear, Hear! We are very proud of our Military.
I hope they all got to have a pint after! fantastic every single one of them. Well done 👏
Well done! So enjoyable to watch.
Thank you for sharing this. Beautiful music, great tribute to Her late Majesty, and well done by the bands.
God bless.
Who appreciate military bands until they see this. It is an incredible feat to march and play an instrument. My father did at the late King's funeral.
What fantastic bands! Thank you for showing us how Great Britain is great! And thank you to all who made us all proud. God bless Queen Elizabeth.
The Rifles and Gurkhas were a joint band of 85
As well as the band, there’s a Gurkha contingent at about 12.15 behind the Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Fusiliers.
Thank you, Simon, for the update regarding Gurkhas. Such fierce fighting force for their homeland and for HRM, the King. Their training is quite excellent, really.
Gurkha drummers were also in the pipe band that escorted the Queen's procession from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey.
There were a couple at Windsor in the cortege as well.
The Gurkhas became Royal guards in 1901.
The Commonwealth forces marched very well as did the civilians at the rear
those are veterans, former soldiers
We do know our left from our right down in the antipodes don’t you know?
No need for sarcasm guys, I think Michael was trying to compliment them and try to make sure they were not overlooked as they were greatly outnumbered and I agree they were impeccable.
It must be wonderful to experience that comraderie and be moving together as one while making music. I love the outfits and the marching. They should all be very proud of a job perfectly done. Even thought the plans were in place for when the Queen died, people rushed to London from all around the world and quickly practiced their routines. I could watch this all day. Very uplifting.
Love military bands. So wonderful. Thank you.
And the heavenly pipes. Playing our Queen into heaven. God Bless you all. You made our Lady very proud and happy!!!!!.
Best footage I have seen for ages, made me proud to be British. Our armed forces are something special.
Thank you
Well done boys absolutely brilliant X R N.
You're the very best you all done the people of the UK Proud . God save the King!
JOB well done. You have made your country💂 and the 🌍 🌎 🌏 very proud 🇬🇧 🇺🇲
This pieces were excellent. I hope more people watched them from what it appears on this video. Quite stirring. Thank you
Love this! Honor, respect, duty and a little fun. Amazing!
This was wonderful…. I was in London for the changing of the guard just before the Queen passed…. Thank you for sharing this band video… I am a military band geek….
You did her proud! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Well done all!
Reminds me of funerals in New Orleans, LA. Funeral music to the cemetery, jazz on the way back. "Life goes on, the person celebrated is at rest now". From Chicago, U.S.A.
Great video filmed at a human scale the broadcasters can only envy. Your patience has been superbly rewarded.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I’m glad you can appreciate the coverage that I can bring to those who have an interest in the bands and what the television coverage does not show.
@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere I served for 11years myself and appreciate fully the endeavour of staging ceremonial events at scale. Your footage is a purposed endeavour to help people appreciate the presence of those involved.
did her majesty proud every single one of them
Queen would have been proud. Fantastic as they given as we the public didn't see this who watched it on tv. Deserve a medal. Who didn't stay around for this display of duty to the queen.
thank you for this. it was a shame we couldn't see more of the bands on the tv coverage but this has more than made up for it.
Thank you so much for filming and uploading 😊
This video reminds me to the proceeding of brass bands on funerals here in Bavaria where I live:
On the way from the church to the cemetery the band plays the saddest funeral marches they are in charge.
Excellent thanks for recording and sharing, the return of those out all day is rarely covered by the media. A great rare sight to the end of a spectacular day.
What a great bunch of soldiers we'll done lads you never let us down. Top professional stuff she would have been proud as we are
Quite superb!
