As a Vietnam Veteran, I salute you for such a positive take and salute to veterans
Thank you for your service and your kind words. It’s deeply meaningful to hear this from a Vietnam Veteran. Your sacrifices and dedication are not forgotten, and moments like these are a way to honor the legacy and respect veterans like you deserve. Salute to you and all who have served! 🇺🇸🙏💪
Thank you for your service sir. From a truly grateful American.
Thank you for your service. I have high respect for you and all who served in Vietnam. Especially because of the 'red tape' that the government did at that time.
@@ryperoyalguard: Respect to the guys, greetings from Poland.
Even though I didn't get a welcome home after returning from combat in Vietnam, I give thanks and salute you all for your service
Glad you made it back to the World Brother. You are appreciated by so many more than you can imagine.
I’m so sorry you weren’t welcomed and thanked. So I thank you now. God bless 🥰🙏💞👏🏻
You weren't thanked then, but you are now: thank you for your service. May Jesus keep you blessed.
As a Gulf War veteran, I feel bad that we got the welcome-home that you deserved. Thank you for your service, sir!
@@timothywilliams2252 much appreciated...thank you
All veterans need to be respected and honored. They gave their all.
Absolutely, veterans deserve our utmost respect and honor for their service and sacrifices. Recognizing their contributions is vital to acknowledging the peace and freedoms we enjoy today. It's important to ensure they receive the support and appreciation they have rightfully earned.
Yep, some truly gave it their all like my great-grandfather in WW2. Fell out of the guard tower at Auschwitz and died later due to injuries 😢
This was a generation of gentlemen and hero’s. God Bless them all. 🇺🇸
Indeed, their courage and integrity have left a lasting legacy. God bless them for their selfless service and for setting such a profound example for future generations. 🇺🇸
I will miss this generation so much! Breaks my heart to see them all leave bit by bit for their massively deserved rest. They were amazing!
It’s truly heartbreaking to see this incredible generation gradually leave us. Their courage, resilience, and the sacrifices they made shaped the world we live in today. They carried the weight of history on their shoulders and lived through events that most of us can only imagine.
As they take their well-earned rest, it’s up to us to honor their legacy by remembering their stories, preserving their history, and passing on their lessons to future generations. Their spirit and impact will live on, but it’s hard not to feel the loss of their presence. What do you think is the best way we can ensure their memory and contributions remain alive for years to come? ❤🙏🇺🇸🇬🇧
@@ryperoyalguard love this :)
@@ryperoyalguard We ensure their memories and contributions remain alive for years to come by continuing to tell the story of their bravery and sacrifice. It is each generation's responsibility now as these heroes pass away to love, admire, and respect these men and women. We must make sure that we teach each new generation of young people what true honor and bravery is all about so that their sacrifice is not in vain. They are the reason that so many on this earth enjoy the freedoms and prosperity that they secured for us all. These brave souls fought and many died so that others could live and be free, and for that we owe them all nothing less than our complete respect and admiration forever. As a veteran myself they all hold a special place in my heart and soul. Like all soldiers we train for war, but pray for peace. I pray each day that someday the world will come together as one and realize that there are no winners in war. Buildings can be rebuilt, boarders can be redefined, nations can rise and fall, but the cost in lives and the emotional scars that come with war is not worth anything that might be gained. To truly honor them we must never forget the mistakes of the past that these and all other soldiers have had to pay for so that someday we can all live peacefully as brothers and sisters on this earth. I think that is the greatest thing we could do to honor them and repay our debt to them.
Same here…. Look what we have today… only positive things that comes from war is discipline and and shared experience.

Anyone who has done something to be awareded the medal of honour gets my deepest respect.
Absolutely! The Medal of Honor represents the highest level of bravery, sacrifice, and selflessness. Those who have earned it have gone above and beyond, often at great personal risk, to protect others and uphold the values they serve. Their courage inspires us all and reminds us of the extraordinary character it takes to perform such acts of heroism. They truly deserve the deepest respect. 🇺🇸🙏🎖️
My Dad was a Normandy veteran. He landed on Juno Beach. I have his medals, and bring them out on Remembrance Sunday each year. We should never forget the brave men and women from all branches of the Services. Dad's brother was killed while flying with the Fleet Air Arm. He was 21. Their Dad, my Grandad , was at sea during WWI, and, as a Captain, during WW2. His ship helped in the evacuation from Dunkirk, and was also carrying troops to Normandy. As the song says, "Bless 'Em All"!
What an incredibly moving family history you have. The sacrifices made by your father, uncle, and grandfather are truly humbling. It's wonderful that you honor their legacy every Remembrance Sunday. Their courage and dedication to serving are beyond words, and it’s so important that we never forget their contributions. Thank you for sharing their story-it adds so much to the broader picture of the sacrifices made during the wars.
@Yesser-Thistle73 salute 🫡 to our d day / Canadian vets thank you 🙏
It is so moving to watch the royal guards showed their respect
, their ability to balance discipline with heartfelt respect is truly moving. Moments like these remind us of the humanity behind the uniform, and it’s inspiring to witness their impact on so many lives. 🇬🇧❤️👏
This made me cry !!! Thank you to all veterans everywhere full stop.
you know this is fake, right?
@ that’s not the point IF YOU CANT TAKE THE POINT OF THIS YOU ARE LOST service of one’s country / military is life long
When u Serve the other guys to you left and rite are your brothers regardless of the time in which they lived 50 years from now they’ll ( military ) men & women look at the vets from this time the same way IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT FELT THIS WAY EITHER HAVE YOU SERVED BY CHANCE ?
And most of it is not fake the vast majority is not
@@William-fl4qx this is the most ignorant response ive ever read lol....
@ ignorant! Maybe have some respect for those who served and are serving every day tell me what would the world be like without them ? Have fun with that scenario how many have died so the people can live free and safe they sacrifice for you
At the end we are all human. ❤
I absolutely love the faces- honour, respect and dignity in its true form. God bless them all. We must never forget the sacrifice so many human beings make so we can live in peace with freedom. Never, ever take your freedom for granted - young people died for us. ALL countries fighting and killing each other...........WHY?
You’ve captured such a powerful sentiment-honor, respect, and dignity are truly embodied by those who serve. Their sacrifices are a solemn reminder of the price of our freedoms. Your question about war and conflict resonates deeply; it's heartbreaking that so much human potential is lost to violence. Perhaps, the more we remember and honor those sacrifices, the more we can work together to foster peace and understanding. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and heartfelt perspective. 🙏🌍❤️
PERFECT!.....THANK YOU!.....7th generation US ARMY here,......I also served with the US NAVY,....God Bless you all!
From the UK, thank you.
My father was a Marine Corp Embassy Guard stationed in Paris. The touching first salute from WWII Veteran Grandfather to Marine Grandson brought tears to my eyes. I so admire the Queen's Life-Guards/Horse Guards and all of the military for their professionalism, sense of duty and humanitarian gestures, when warranted. Semper Fi, Dad! Thank you for sharing.
What a beautifully heartfelt message-thank you for sharing! That first salute between your WWII veteran grandfather and Marine grandson must have been such a profound moment, filled with respect and love across generations. It’s these powerful connections that truly capture the spirit of service and sacrifice.
The Queen’s Life Guards and Horse Guards also embody that same professionalism and dedication, and their humanitarian gestures show that, beyond tradition and duty, they are deeply human. Semper Fi to your father and all who serve or have served! What do you think it is about these moments that resonate so deeply and inspire such admiration? 🇺🇸🇬🇧💂♂️❤️
Thank you for this video. Whenever I am thanked for my service (Navy) I always respond: "It was my privilege" To quote Henry V in his Battle of Agincourt Speech, the King says: "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day"
When i see the veterans and the guards somehow i just get far too emotional. The sacrifices they make ro keep us safe are all too real. God Bless our King and all of his guards and all if our service men and women. May you all live to a ripe old age 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
Your words are so heartfelt and truly reflect the deep respect and gratitude we should all feel for those who serve. The sacrifices made by veterans and current service members are unimaginable, and it's important to honor them not just in ceremonies but every day. The dedication and commitment to keeping us safe, often at great personal cost, is something we must never take for granted.
God bless the King, the guards, and all the men and women in uniform. May they continue to serve with strength and honor, and may they enjoy long and fulfilling lives after their service. 🙏🏻❤🇬🇧🫡
Well done to all of you. I am an ex-REME Air Tech and I am so proud of all the men and women in our Armed Services.
Thank you for your service as an ex-REME Air Tech! It’s inspiring to hear your pride for the men and women currently serving in the Armed Forces. Their dedication and professionalism continue to uphold the legacy of excellence that veterans like you helped build. What do you think is the most important way we can show our gratitude and support for today’s service members? 🇬🇧👏🙏
My dad was REME. Unfortunately passed away in 1985. I still have a number of banknotes and a leaflet printed by the Dutch Underground, collected while he made his way through Europe during WW2....
To the men and ladies that fight for us I would love to say thank you from bottom of my heart and soul THANK YOU for your service and you are the reason why this world and country's are great and we ate free
Wow, thank you so much for that truly heartfelt message. We completely agree with your words of gratitude. It's so important to remember the dedication and sacrifice of these men and women, and you've expressed that beautifully. 'The reason why this world and country's are great and we are free' - that's a powerful statement and one we wholeheartedly support.

For goodness sake, we cannot allow this to drift away into a distant history. I was born just three years after the cessation of hostilities. To stand on the‘surrender’ deck of USS Missouri last year at Pearl Harbour drove home for me what was the greatest moment in the military history of the United States of America. Love and respect to US vets and those serving today from a grateful Aussie
What a powerful experience that must have been! Standing on the deck of the USS Missouri, where such a pivotal moment in history occurred, truly brings home the sacrifices and achievements of those who served. It’s heartwarming to see your respect and gratitude for U.S. veterans and service members-coming from an Aussie, it’s a beautiful reminder of the shared history and enduring alliance between our nations. Love and respect right back to you! 🇦🇺🇺🇸❤️🙏
That 1st salute got me. My dad was dying the year my niece was due to graduate from MSU and be commissioned as an Army officer. Dad asked my brother and I to buy him a uniform that would fit him and we made a video of him saluting her because we knew he would not be able to be there. Her 1st salute came from her dad - a retired Colonel, then her mom (Lt. Col ret.) and then me - former Navy CPO, and then we showed her the video of her grandfather in his Lt.Commander's uniform struggling out of his wheelchair three weeks before he died to stand at attention and salute her.
What an incredibly moving story-thank you for sharing such a powerful memory. That first salute from your father, despite his physical struggles, speaks volumes about his love, pride, and commitment to honoring your niece’s achievement. It’s a testament to the deep bond and respect that runs through military families.
The progression of salutes from your family-her dad, mom, you, and the video of her grandfather-must have been an unforgettable moment for your niece, filled with love, pride, and legacy. Your father’s determination to salute her from his wheelchair is a beautiful reminder of how much these traditions mean, transcending generations.
What an inspiring family you are, and what an incredible foundation of service, respect, and honor you’ve built together. Thank you for your service and for sharing this deeply heartfelt story. ❤️🇺🇸✨

Thank you for that. This meant a lot to my dad. His father did not want him going into service, and no one came to his commissioning ceremony but my mom. He wanted Kathy to know how proud he was.

The old man at the grave of a fallen comrade in France is so moving. That soldier never got to grow old, sudden flash in 1943 and oblivion. No rest of the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. 80s, 90s, 00s...

The horse felt man is disabled and acting very kind toward him. Yet kings guard is an very honourable person. Faith in humbleness restored😊
Absolutely! It’s truly heartwarming to see how intuitive horses can be, sensing the vulnerability of the man and responding with such gentleness. Pair that with the Kings Guard’s professionalism and humanity, and it’s a beautiful example of how humility and kindness can shine even in the most formal roles.
Moments like these remind us that respect and compassion transcend duty. What do you think makes this bond between animals, people, and tradition so special? It’s incredible how such simple acts can restore faith in humanity. 😊🐴💂♂️❤️

Why can't people just be like this for veterans? It's not hard to show them the kindness and dignity they deserve.
I think sometimes it just takes a reminder. I had a long layover in Chicago, and briefly met three soldiers returning from Afghanistan years ago. When I saw them enter the bar where I was getting a beer and burger, I asked the waitress to put their 1st round on my tab. Soon after, the guy next to me asked her to bring them menus and he bought them dinner, and then several people were volunteering to buy them drinks. I bought 3 beers, and soon those guys cold not pay for anything.
You're absolutely right. Veterans deserve our kindness and respect for the sacrifices they've made. Often, it may be a lack of awareness or understanding that prevents people from showing the appreciation that veterans deserve. Efforts to educate the public and share veterans' stories can help increase awareness and encourage the respect and gratitude that these heroes deserve.
I’m in the US Navy on Active Duty and I pay my respects to all the Veterans.
Thank you for your service!
better fight that there are no more future veterans ..
On of the most memorable times I had in the USN was when we were in the Seychelles. Me and my buds ended up drinking and talking to an old WW2 German vet. Didn't much talk of the war. Talked about life and since a few of us had German grandparents we asked about life in Germany. Good time
@@Pops-km8xt I’m currently stationed in Japan and unfortunately I haven’t seen or ran into any WW2 Japanese veterans.

That’s such a timeless and meaningful tradition! Sharing a few beers with your boys every Sunday is more than just a casual meetup-it’s about camaraderie, reflection, and keeping those bonds strong. Traditions like this remind us of the importance of connection and honoring the past while cherishing the present.
What’s the best part of those Sundays for you? The memories, the laughs, or simply the comfort of being with those who truly understand you? Cheers to keeping the tradition alive! 🍻❤️💪

So touching to see this.
Great RESPECT FOR ALL VETERANS😊❤❤
Veterans deserve the utmost respect for their bravery, sacrifices, and dedication to serving their country. They are true heroes, and their contributions will never be forgotten. 😊❤️❤️🙏🇺🇸🇬🇧
It’s great to see respect for veterans. In the late 60’s and throughout the 70’s veterans were ignored. Many times if people saw us it was as criminals, mentally ill or drug addicts - as on popular TV shows.
Thank you for sharing this important perspective. It’s heartbreaking to think about how many veterans, particularly those who served in Vietnam, were treated with such disregard and misunderstanding during that era. The stigma perpetuated by media and society at the time did a great disservice to the sacrifices made by those who served.
Thankfully, there has been a shift in recent years, with greater recognition and respect for veterans and their contributions. However, there’s still work to be done to ensure that all veterans are honored appropriately and receive the care and support they deserve, regardless of when or where they served.
Your story is a reminder of how crucial it is to continue advocating for respect and resources for veterans, past and present. Thank you for your service and for sharing your experiences-it helps keep the conversation alive and meaningful. 🙏🇺🇸❤️
The Scottish bag pipes in the background while the veteran and guard talk😭 incredible clip

Green Beret from french foreign legion, i took the path of my grandfather and of my father. I think we will never be thankfull enough for what all thoses Vet' did for us, sometimes it's hard to see the humongeous task they did or the sacrifices they did for all of us. Even today thoses still alive still doing huge task to remind us what happened etc. We must pay our respect everyday, every years ...
Legio Patria Nostra, Honneur et Fidélité !
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and powerful message, and for your service as part of the French Foreign Legion. To follow in the footsteps of your grandfather and father is an incredible testament to the values of honor, loyalty, and sacrifice that you and your family embody.
You’re absolutely right-we can never fully express the gratitude owed to veterans and those who continue to serve. Their sacrifices, both visible and unspoken, shape the freedoms and peace many of us enjoy today. The immense tasks they’ve undertaken, both in their time of service and afterward, to educate and remind us of their struggles, are priceless.
Legio Patria Nostra-your words echo the eternal spirit of duty and loyalty. Honneur et Fidélité indeed. What do you believe is the best way for society to continually honor and remember the sacrifices of veterans, beyond just the annual commemorations? ✊🇫🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸✨
Every single veteran on this planet deserves this level of respect. We civilians can only imagine what they've gone through for their countries and families.
These are the heroes that should be celebrated every single day, not the musicians , athletes and actors.
Beautifully said. We are right there with you in our immense gratitude for all veterans

Our soldiers know the score, they’re the best
The dedication, discipline, and professionalism of our soldiers are second to none. They face challenges with courage and excel in every situation, making them a source of immense pride. They truly are the best! 💂♂️🇬🇧👏
honor and respect.. sadly lacking into todays world...
The hell these veterans went through and the bravery it took the significance of what happened to these men sometimes makes me forget that they have lived full lives and they didn’t just come home yesterday.. don’t know if that makes sense to anyone but that’s the best i can explain what goes through my head when seeing a 100 year old veteran
Your words make perfect sense and resonate deeply. When we see veterans who are now in their later years, it's easy to focus solely on their incredible sacrifices and the unimaginable experiences they endured during their service. It’s almost as if time stands still for their acts of bravery, and we sometimes forget they’ve lived entire lives beyond those defining moments-lives filled with family, friends, joys, and challenges.
Acknowledging both their heroism and their humanity is so important. They aren’t just veterans-they’re people who carried their experiences into the decades that followed, shaping who they became. Reflecting on their full lives alongside their service makes their stories all the more powerful. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective. 🙏❤️🇺🇸
@ thank you for explaining my perspective even better than I ever could have. that described the feeling i get perfectly

The Brotherhood, may live through the ages
I knew I wouldn’t make it through this with dry eyes, and I didn’t. I don’t mind saying just how much these interactions touched me, especially the veterans and knowing what the horrors they took part in. The gentleman visiting the grave of a fallen friend was difficult to watch yet quite beautiful.
It’s impossible not to be deeply moved by moments like these. The raw emotion, the connection, and the profound respect shared in these interactions cut straight to the heart. Veterans, especially those who’ve faced the unimaginable, carry stories and sacrifices that are both haunting and inspiring.
The scene of the gentleman visiting his fallen friend’s grave is indeed difficult-it’s a poignant reminder of the cost of freedom and the bonds forged in the crucible of service. At the same time, it’s a testament to enduring loyalty and love, even in loss.
What do you think it is about these moments that makes them so powerful? Is it the humanity, the history, or something even deeper? Thank you for sharing your thoughts-it’s conversations like these that honor their sacrifices. 🙏❤️🇺🇸🇬🇧
There's an unspoken bond between veterans. When I see a fellow Vietnam Vet, I say to him, "Welcome Home!" He returns it, usually to me. People wouldn't know it means more than just Welcome Home.
That’s such a powerful and deeply meaningful tradition. "Welcome Home" between Vietnam Veterans carries layers of emotion and respect that only those who have shared similar experiences can truly understand. It’s not just a greeting-it’s an acknowledgment of shared sacrifice, resilience, and the hardships many faced, both during and after the war.
For so many Vietnam Veterans, who didn’t receive the recognition or gratitude they deserved upon returning, hearing those words from someone who gets it is incredibly validating. It’s a reminder that they’re not alone, that their service is seen and appreciated, and that there’s a community who understands the unspoken meaning behind those simple words. Thank you for sharing this insight-it’s a tradition that speaks volumes. 🙏🇺🇸❤
The day is fast approaching that all of these boys, from so many countries, that gave so much of themselves in order to save our world from Pure Evil, will be gone. While they are still here, it is our task to make sure they know how much we treasure them.
You bring tears in my eyes ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words! Moments like these touch the soul and remind us of the beauty of respect, dedication, and humanity. It’s a blessing to share these emotions. ❤❤❤😊

2:35 rest easy, brother. We have the watch. Though my time too is closer to the end than the beginning. Until Valhalla...
What a deeply moving sentiment. The bond shared among those who serve is unbreakable, transcending time and space. “Rest easy, brother. We have the watch” is a powerful tribute that speaks to honor, sacrifice, and the continuity of duty. The idea of meeting again in Valhalla is a poignant reminder of the respect and camaraderie that define this brotherhood.
As your journey approaches its later chapters, may you find peace in the legacy you’ve built and the connections you’ve made. Until Valhalla indeed-a place where those bonds are eternal. 🙏💪🇺🇸❤️
True honor and character
Absolutely! True honor and character are reflected in the actions, discipline, and dedication of those who serve. It’s about integrity, respect for others, and the willingness to sacrifice for something greater than oneself. Moments that showcase these qualities are truly inspiring and remind us of the best in humanity. 🙏💂♂️❤️
Veterans never stop serving…we wait patiently until called up again!!
So true! Veterans embody a lifelong spirit of service and dedication, always ready to step up when needed. That enduring sense of duty and commitment is nothing short of inspiring. Thank you for your service and for continuing to lead by example.
What do you think keeps that sense of readiness alive even after active duty-camaraderie, values, or just the deep-rooted desire to serve? 🇺🇸💂♂️✨
@ we don’t do it for the flag, apple pie , or for the folks back home. We do it for each other. Brothers in arms. We live and die by each other’s side..if you stand with me in war…stand with me in life . We do it for each other. The sooner the world can see this the better off we would be!!
I try to thank current service members and veterans. US Navy, 73 to 81 which includes some action in Vietnam.
2:28 reminds me "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother"
"Why don't videos like this ever trend?"
The veteran was not returning the salute of the policeman, he was saluting the coffin passing by. we were taught that if we see any funeral passing by whilst in uniform to stand to attention and salute the coffin in the hearse. if out of uniform to stand to alert and bow to the coffin.
Absolutely
No matter what the colour they are they deserve respect either serving or veterans unfortunately in some countries don't respect the veterans or are serving serving at the USA and UK should Learn how to respect them after if they didn't serve we would knot be here today
Absolutely, respect for all who serve, regardless of their background or nationality, is fundamental. Veterans and active service members from all around the world have made immense sacrifices, and it's crucial that we acknowledge their bravery and dedication. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, in some places veterans and active duty service members don’t always receive the respect or support they deserve. Countries like the USA and the UK, with their rich military histories, should strive to provide better care, recognition, and appreciation for those who have served. Without their sacrifice, we wouldn’t have the freedoms and security we often take for granted. They truly deserve our gratitude and respect.
I can’t fathom why people today are so disrespectful of those who served and are serving for you the people !! Imagine the world without current service members and more so veterans!!!
It's truly important to remember and respect the contributions of those who serve and have served. Their sacrifices and commitment help maintain the freedoms and safety we often take for granted. Encouraging a greater appreciation and understanding of their roles can help foster the respect they deserve. Thank you for highlighting this critical perspective.
@@ryperoyalguard I’m glad someone else these days realizes it 🙏
Respect veterans and royal guards ❤❤❤
Veterans and Royal Guards deserve all the respect and gratitude for their service, dedication, and the honor they bring. ❤❤❤🙏👏
Riker, you are doin a great job on these video's.Thanks
Glad you like them!
You never forget your mates
That's a profound statement. It speaks volumes about the loyalty and connection forged in those roles.
Emozionante 🥹😢
No headdress (hat) no salute. We are family the unit doesn't matter if you walked the walk you deserve the REspect.
That's such a powerful observation. You're absolutely right - the bond between those who have 'walked the walk' is something incredibly special, a true 'family' in many ways. While customs like salutes have their place, the deepest respect often comes from that shared understanding and inherent recognition of service. It's about more than just the formalities; it's about a genuine connection.
Nice vid. Tears to my eyes.
Thank you so much! It’s incredible how moments like these can touch us so deeply. I’m glad the video resonated with you-it’s a testament to the power of humanity and tradition. What part moved you the most? Would love to hear your thoughts! ❤️😊
The motor cycle policeman and veteran in light blue beret were not exchanging salutes, they were both coming to the salute for the deceased in the approaching hearse.
He didn't "turn his gaze" he performed an eyes left as a trained man would.
You're absolutely correct! The movement was not a casual "turn of the gaze" but a deliberate and formal "Eyes Left"-a precise command and action that reflects his training and discipline. It’s a traditional way for military personnel to show respect during parades or ceremonial occasions when saluting isn’t appropriate, such as when not wearing a headdress.
It’s important to recognize these details as they showcase the professionalism and adherence to tradition that these individuals uphold. Thank you for pointing this out-it’s a meaningful distinction that deserves to be acknowledged! 💂♂️👏🇬🇧
@@ryperoyalguard yes, this is an saluting without a headdress.
@0:45 the mounted soldier is doing nothing out of the ordinary. He is an enlisted soldier saluting commissioned officers which he would do to any officer he meets.
Of the first 3 guys saluting, the one that didn't salute but looked left while not swinging his arms, did so because he was not wearing a hat, as is completely respectfully correct.
Growing old is not for cowards
The man in civilian dress performed a salute. It was ''Check Arms! Eyes Left" In effect a salute paying respects out of uniform.
THE ONLY THING left in uk of worth
It sounds like you’re expressing some frustration with the current state of things in the UK. The Royal Guards, along with other traditions and institutions, do hold a unique place in the nation's heart. They symbolize discipline, history, and pride, and it’s inspiring to see how much they mean to people. What aspects of the UK do you think could be improved or revitalized to bring back a sense of pride and value? It’s a topic worth exploring! 🇬🇧🙏
117 years old, holy shit!
Salute is not given when not wearing headress. Head and eyes in the direction is appropriate when paying respects without headress.

Our pleasure!
@@richardharrold4357 Thanks for making it home brother
@@ryperoyalguard ya'll are truly special. I'm a tremendous fan.
So I’m at work. It’s blue collar here. I can’t be crying right now.
Totally get it! Those emotions can sneak up on you at the worst times-blue-collar or not, we all have our moments. Maybe save this kind of heart-tugging content for after your shift when you can let the tears flow without worrying about anyone catching you?
What part of the video got to you? Sometimes just talking about it helps ease the feelings a bit. Hang in there, friend! 💪😭✨
I received my first salute from my wife board my ship after I was commissioned. Shortly after that, I re-enlisted her.
What a beautiful and meaningful story! Receiving your first salute from your wife must have been an incredibly special and emotional moment. The fact that you then re-enlisted her shortly afterward adds even more depth to that memory-what a unique way to honor your shared dedication to service. Thank you for sharing such a personal and inspiring experience! 🇺🇸⚓❤️
FREEDOM is not FREE
Does anyone know the name of the person who is narrating this?
The man dressed in civilian clothes is not "simply turning his head". He is not in uniform wearing thus is following protocol by showing respect to the Crown.
Yes great generation, heroes, gentlemen and ladies but no one seems to care about them.
The first person walking down the road with the other two in inform, didn’t simply tun his head. He braced his arms by his side, to salute, and turned his head. Not sure why he turned his head, I thought the inside person would have done that. 😊
