Trying out Dolly Parton´s Banana Flavoured cake mix Duncan Hines -Cooking with Carlos ARNE & CARLOS

- During our North American 2022 tour we received a lot of different gifts. Among them were a lot of different Dolly Parton cake mixes, all from the brand Duncan Hines Both of us are big fans of @DollyParton and this was such a fun gift idea. We do not have this brand in Norway so this was a first.
We have mentioned in SAKFAB that we have to try to bake one of the cake mixes, and today is the day! We had to substitute some of the ingredients, and had a lot of fun making it. Whether it came out looking like the picture on the package or it became a disaster, you will find out now!

Thanks for all your lovely comments! We love your kindness, but please do not send us any pudding mix; we can't handle the quantities that get sent to us, and it all goes to waste as we can't eat it all anyway.

OH, my goodness--more comic gold. You know it got rough when they switched languages! But lots of laughter--good to hear Erik laughing. And the sunset was amazing! Like all things knitting, it is good to read the whole recipe (pattern) through before beginning. Thank you for the laughs and I hope the cake was fantastic anyway! 😂😂😂😂
That vanilla cream you used looks way better than instant pudding - a much better option. I'm sure Dolly would be proud of your banana cake interpretation! 😄🥰
I love how much Arne treasures all things Dolly. In the US we have Jello pudding mix which is a powder and Vanilla wafers which are cookies.

I have NEVER seen Arne so vocal and bossy! So Funny you guys😂🤣😅 Dolly should have put the pudding mix in the box but Carlos should have stiffly whipped the cream and then FOLD in the pudding. Glad to see the gales of laughter at the end but Carlos I would have slapped you if you dumped the bag of cookies on top like that!🙃😉 I can hear Dolly laughing as we speak!
