- Titanfall 2 is an incredibly well made game in need of more players. After launching in the middle of a crowded year full of shooters, Titanfall 2 stands tall and against the competition, and I've created this video to help new players discover what makes the game so special.

I feel like TitanFall 2 is what COD IW wanted to be. Nothing gets your heart racing more than a 3-4 Titan kill streak.

Respawn just should've listened to the playerbase in the official forum who played the first titanfall. First person embarkment is something EVERYONE wanted, or at least an option to switch. Respawn didn't care. Maps support camping, players complained, they wanted the high quality level design from titanfall 1. Respawn didn't care. Respawn took the cards out that give you advantages in game, if its aint broke don't fix it, why they did that? Players wanted it to come back. Respawn didn't care. Players LOVED the multiplayer from tf1, only thing that was missing was a story and maybe a little more customization. Respawn messed it up. A deserved flop.
Campaign looks fun, I saw a playthrough from ghostrobo. But the rest of the game looks like its made by people who HATED the first one, but the problem is they produce it for people who LOVED the first one.
Denju i played the first 1 it was great but there would be no point in making titanfall 2 the same game as the first one.
Amazing and very well crafted video! I can't wait for christmas to play Titanfall 2 myself. The original game is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. You got a sub :)

I'm glad someone finally made a video about this that will actually persuade people to join this community. As fun as it has been for me to identify players I've already played against online, it's also a bit saddening to know that I'll be matched up with the same people over and over again

Thanks! They do use a heavily modified version of Source, but deep down, there are still Source libraries at work in Titanfall 2. Whatever they did was a good call, because it runs great on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I like dirty bomb too, the long jump and wall jump parkour is fun since i had experience from titanfall 1 and i like fast paced games.
I am addicted to getting kills with the Pulse Blade. First one was a fluke and now it is a must do :-D
SpitvalvetheClown I would use the pulse blade but i can not play without the grapple hook anymore, when you master it you can get to the other side of the map in 15 seconds and just shoot everyone from behind. When u grapple onto a building, double jump and then curve to the left or right you get massive altitude and speed out of it. Also the grapple hook melee kills are so fun. Whenever i try to play with anything else than grapple i feel like a fish out of water and can't move quickly at all.
The game is a first person delight to play.I have played both one and two alot and titanfall 2 is smooth, an absolute joy to play,you will not get frustrated playing mp.Believe me when i say there is a lot to master,movement,titans and factions.The reason i play this game is because it is not frustrating to play and there is no cheap shots.I love this game.The choice is clear and for me the quality of Titanfall 2 is breathtakingly satisfying.
It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy when someone praises my favorite game. I want Titanfall to rise above and destroy all other FPS's starting with COD
i play on pc and lemme tell you how small the community is. First day i bought it i was trying to get into the 8v8 mixtape queue so i could try out all the new modes. 0 players were in my region. i thought it was a bug so i kept trying. i searched up an attrition match instead and was immediately greeted by 4000 other people. I was having a blast, i hardly had enough time between matches to look at my unlocks. the past two weeks have been really bad for the game though. Ive only been matched with about 200-400 people in my region. Holy shit thats a difference. and thats in attrition. i havent even had the chance to play the other gamemodes because theres no one in my region looking for a game.

I was pretty hyped when Titanfall 2 got announced, but I wound up dropping money on Battlefield 1 because the beta was some of the most fun I've had in a while and a few of my buddies had it preordered. I had a few nitpicks about Titanfall 2 during its beta that have prevented me from going far enough out of my way to purchase it, but it does sadden me seeing the game as overlooked as it is. I'll definitely make sure I pick it up this holiday season.
TF2 is the best FPS I have played in a long time... It is very addictive, even for a player like myself who is average at best.
I love the animations hyper did for the guns.

I feel like a child saying this but my Christmas wish is for this game to just grow, I want more games from respawn. I am a halo fanboy but damn did titanfall 2 win the place in my heart. it's an amazing game, everything is said in the video.

Guys, if you are getting a bit stale on this game. I urge you to choose different guns, titans, boosts, etc. it really feels completely new each time i switch my loadout.

I really can not speak highly enough about this game it really deserves far more players than what it has.Its super fun has a great single player a good bit of modes for multiplayer and has great value given no season pass or micro transactions like with most other games nowadays apart from a few skins and cosmetics you get in the Digital deluxe edition of which can be ignored .Also the free maps means the player base won't be split up when the dlc is out given everyone has the maps when the dlc comes out most AAA releases don't even do that but rather are filled with dlc and micro transactions.Also know that with battlefield 1 and CoD IW the betas where not really betas at all but rather demos titanfall 2's beta was really a pre alpha and the game that was played in the beta for titanfall 2 was not indicative of the final product much has changed since the titanfall 2 beta.In closing Titanfall 2 is really fun has great value given the free dlc and the playerbase will not be split due to dlc given everyone will have it and has a single player campaign this this time and the mutiplayer has been worked on quite a bit to be more balanced and there are now more titans and the new titans have more varied playstyles and seam like their own classes burn cards from the first game have been replaced by boosts bonus abilities tied to the titan meter that can be activated at a given percentage (note this wont drain your titan meter) I could go on but I don't want to turn this into a review though at this point I think it may be to late lol.
TLDR: Titanfall 2 is a great game with a lot of game play changes from the first I recommend it.

titanfall 2 is only $35 now, but it's surprising my area on PS4 was only 140 people. Is there more people on xbox? Only bounty and attrition seem playable.
Also many people are playing rainbow which is surprisingly growing still and overwatch. Even battlefront is well populated on consoles for million players. It's not just the new games, people are still playing older games. Xbox also has halo 5 which is another big online game that titanfall has to compete time with.

I cant understand why it's not more popular, most fun game I've played in a long time. I guess it's just because it came out at the wrong time. I got an email from playstation store selling this game 43% off an hour ago, I'm amazed people are buying infinite warfare over this.
I bought Titanfall 2 when it first came out on the PC and I loved it . But I stopped playing because Match making was getting long

Why do people say that titanfall 1 was too small? I got to gen10 and then i just started mastering the mechanics and the better i got at it the more i enjoyed it. Kills in titanfall 1 felt so rewarding unlike now when you don't have an xp system but instead a dumb merit system. Titanfall 2 is still a really great improvement and i like it even more than tf1.
I love titanfall 2 but here are my criticims: 1. Maps are not vertical enough like in titanfall. 2. there are not enough open windows and doors on buildings and windows can not be broken like in the first one. 3. The red lines on enemy pilots and titans makes spotting enemies too easy. Sometimes you can spot with it through smoke and explosions. Now hiding is useless and camo does nothing. Not that hiding is used often but it would be fun to slide onto a corner and let the enemy run past you, but right now the red lines just instantly reveal you.
This is a great video. I would buy Titanfall 2, but it just doesn't appeal me in any way. My biggest complaint about the Titanfall franchise is that it's graphics don't look up to today's standards. If Titanfall 3 was changed to the Frostbite Engine (If there is one), then I would definitely buy it.
If there isn't a Titanfall 3, I would like for them to be the main developers of the Battlefront games or go back to making Call Of Duty with Activision.
To be honest, i played it for 60 hours, and i had fun, a lot of fun. But thats it, the hype is over and after unlocking the g10 skin for my titan there isnt really much to do for me. Ive played 350+ hours in titanfall 1 and i think the main reason is, that the maps in titanfall 1 were much better imho. Also im not a fan of the new rank up system, i liked the burn cards. For me Tf2 was probably the shortest and most expensive game of the year. Maybe i will come back if they have a competetive/ranked mode otherwise thats it for me.

Thanks! You are so correct. Overwatch is huge, and is also a really special game to me, but I tried not to mention it in this specific video though because I feel like the team aspects of Overwatch almost put it in another category of games. PS working on an Overwatch video as we speak! :D
It sucked away some people from other games at the time, but its also a game that didn't keep peoples interest up for very long because of the ridiculously low skill ceiling. I don't know anyone who has touched the game in quite a while. Frankly I haven't had any itch to do so either because the gameplay just isn't stimulating enough, its the kind that puts me to sleep.
For a more casual audience it seems to be a steady hit even today, but everyone I know who is even slightly more interested in shooters that always have room for great improvement, for shooters that are a constant learning experience and most of all a shooter where your individual skill can decide if a match is won or not, found Overwatch very boring, very quickly. Because it has none of those qualities.
I don't know why this turned into a suddenly Overwatch review, but I just had a hard time liking it despite trying damn hard from day one. It just felt a bit too casual, all the systems were in place to help bad players every step of the way and outright punish players who were actually trying hard to make a difference with their individual skill.
These same thoughts echoed in a discord call when we recently discussed why Overwatch just isn't fun.

The first one wasn't exclusive, it also came to PC. Also the first one got incredibly boring after a week or two and died. Gonna wait 6 months and see how this one stacks up, if a big chunk of the population is still there and it's on a good sales

I disagree. The game's quality accurately reflects the amount of population in the community. This is said a month and a half after the game's release. Titanfall 2 does not have enough depth in its online content to keep its playerbase from waning. Even if it was a March or even May release... the drop of population does not directly tie itself in regards to Titanfall 2's competition.
Please do yourself a favor buy yourself a copy of Titanfall 2 and BF1

Titanfall 2 is way better than Call of Duty! This game deserves more praise and needs to be where Call of Duty is at.
TitanFall 2 is nice but their is a few things noobish. A-wall is for new players and someone who likes sitting on one part of the map👎🏽. Map hack with sonar dart is oP and is skill less base. Outline of pilots makes it too easy. Some of the boost is really annoying but can be countered. One thing to mention why is there pilot abilities in boost ? Kinda mediocre to me. It's bad to reference this but TitanFall has a noob CoD feel to it. It's dumbed down from TF1. In the end tho I still have a good time.
Keep in mind a ton of people who played TF1 consider the multiplayer inferior to the first game. It's visible on the official forums the most, but whenever I chat with people in-game I also always hear "Titanfall 1 was better"...
Campaign's great tho. TF2 is still better than 90% of other games on the market
I prefer titanfall 2 over tf1 multiplayer since they emphasized more on teamwork and made gunfights less chaotic.
so many no scopes If anything, the gunfights in TF2 are *more* chaotic, since you die in 1-2 hits and you often don't have any chance to fight back. Not to mention, spawns are worse than in TF and you often spawn behind your enemy or right next to one. Or the tickrate is worse and you often die without knowing that someone shot at you, and on the replay cam you see they hit you multiple times over.
Or that the servers are inferior and can't detect more than 2 bullet hits at the same time so it always takes two bullets to kill you.
The list is long, look it up.
But I do agree TF2 encourages teamplay a lot more, especialy in Titans.
True the ttk is faster and I encourage respawn to double the health of the pilots. However the movement was slowed down such that gunfights were more approachable and you had more control. The devs talked about this in their interviews several times.
so many no scopes I feel less in control now than I was before. In TF1 with faster player movement and more HP each fight could have been won by the superior player by superior skill.
TF2 is CoDed with fight won by whoever got the drop on the other player. When you're being shot at from behind because someone spawned behind you and you're too slow to dodge incoming fire, you're not in control.
In tf1 fights were even more random and chaotic because the faster movement made gun engagements based on a dice roll since players were constantly jumping from place to place it was too difficult to aim at a player. This gunplay was too random. Many times I wouldn't even know how I got a kill.
Again I agree that tf2 should have implemented more health to the pilots but having slowed the movement in engagements definitely decreased the gunplay chaos.

I just have to oppose to the things you said . First with the flat out lie - xbox exclusive ?! No ?! I have hundreds of hours on titanfall on pc so please dont spread misinformation , another lie was about optimisation - it runs like pile of crap on 1070 with huge fps drops. Second : this game is NOT titanfall two . The movement is horrible the map design is even worse . If someone thinks that im wrong , go buy titanfall 1 for 10 bucks and then play for 2 hours on it . The retardation in locking titans with certain weapons is just immense. The customisation is nearly non existent for titans . The changes to dome shields is mental , now you cant even use them strategically to lock down objectives and ro devend them since you CANT any longer shoot trough them . With the knowledge that the main dice team is working on star wars game we know titanfall 2 was made by people who don't understand what the game needed and further made it into shit .

Yep, as many have pointed out, I meant to say "console exclusive", not pure exclusive. I also meant it as a marketing term. Titanfall was the first "Big" Xbox One game that wasn't coming to the PS4, it was a big deal at the time. Also, that's too bad to hear you don't like Titanfall 2, they've certainly made some changes, I believe the whole package works, but you're more than allowed to disagree. As for graphics issues, they've been pretty vocal that they're going to patch the PC version and overhaul it. The game runs very well on console thanks to dynamic resolution scaling, and on console is where the large amount of Titanfall players currently reside, so your mileage on PC will definitely be different.
