I know that it's not mentioned, but you showing that Tribal Stage still works on the "illegal" continent is really interesting! Does going to this continent affect the game in any other ways? I'd love to see a deep dive into how this affects the game
Playing on the other continent is definitely worth exploring and I'll try to show any other interesting findings! So far I've seen that there are no other creatures during Creature Stage on the other continent, but there will be creatures once we advance into Tribal Stage. For speedruns we had theorized perhaps migrating to a small continent to limit the amount of tribes that can spawn, similar to using the planet sculpting tools to make a small island that only allows 1 other tribe to spawn to beat Tribal Stage super quickly, but this hasn't been done yet!
That's an interesting idea! I wonder if it's possible (through glitches or mods) to get the Earth terrain in Civilization Stage. I'm not sure currently how to get that to happen, home planets seem to be restricted to 15 different set terrain layouts.
Wow, that sea monster skip is so cool. I'm sure back in the day when people were playing on Window Vista that would have crashed the game for sure lol!
I never knew about any of this in all my years of playing! fantastic job, I found myself rewinding multiple times to see how I could replicate this for fun on my own
The fact that theres even a nest on the other continent is even weirder its like maxis wanted to add an nest to the other side but tried to hide it with the Sea Monster
They're actually still used for cities in the civ stage. All player migration nests and cities, alongside the player starting nest, are stored in a planet's LVL file, which were hand-made by Maxis using the now-defunct in-game level editor. Migration nests also serve as places for cities to spawn in the civ stage, so those nests are a side-effect of this.
I didnt know about the monster bypass, usually I just sculpted the planet with another save and unite continents with landbridge if I wanted to explore other continents. This could be interesting to try because with connected continents there will be less cities that spawn overall, but with the continents apart you still get the full load.
@Alex_Barbosa yes. You have to start a space stage on a new save, remember location, and quit without saving. Now knowing where that planet is, you can get there and do whatever you want with it
That continent trick is really cool! I remember a long time ago i somehow ended up on the other continent and was really confused on why there were no other creatures. Thought i broke my game. I reser it lol If id known i could have continued into the tribal stage like that i totally would have, its so cool! Definitely trying this on my next run!
i didnt know that the nest spawn locations on the other continents corresponded to the city spawns !!!! i wonder if its like, flagged in the game as "special location you can use for nests or tribes or cities" and theyre just set up for each planet layout and still reused between stages to save time? though it only even comes up on the other continets during civ stage anyway so its a weird bit of dev time save if you think about it. do tribes and cities then spawn on the original continent's player creature nests? this is such an interesting bit of info
Rival tribes don't seem to spawn on Creature Stage nests but they do seem to have set/consistent locations when they spawn, but not sure what markers these use. The rival cities on the original player's continent also spawn at nest locations. I'll look into this more but I believe there are 12 total nest locations on each planet, 5 on the home continent and the other 7 nests dispersed on other continents. :)
You should make a short video on how to replicate the grox civilization by bypassing the error “this creation cannot be loaded”. What i mean is bringing a grox grumbler png to the vehicle creator or bringing a grox spaceship png to the spaceship editor and successfully saving.
First time panting spire I did tye joining a nation thing in accident as an economic city, I could not keep any cities as so many people kept attacking me, and rebuilding my fleets kept taking all my money, finaly I was able to find blue nation to win the war, my plan was to slowly buy all his cities, then he popped up and said “let’s merge” and I made it to space stage
There is a safe passage between continents you should follow the rocks and small islands to reach other side but you need the best wings as far as I remember
There only seems to be other nests to migrate to, without regular creatures on the other continent. But once we advance into Tribal Stage regular creatures will appear. :)
That achievement says to play every level and use every creator, I have a list of all the editors I can find when I was working with Cheat Engine that might help! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1G8u2TkkDOqIaW1twGC1bB2V0KqRxjsTBv_a_aUmrolQ/edit#gid=0
Hey do you happen to still have the uncut footage from Nak3d Eli's H2 Zero Shot run? I know you cut out the deaths for the vid he has on UA-cam but I was wondering if you had the original stream footage archived
Been playing casually off and on since 2008, but started speedrunning and tricking around 2016. Hard to estimate the total amount of hours, but maybe around 2,000 :)
1:23 "We'll give 'em compliments, since those are free"
This is one of the most Mr Krabs lines one can imagine
that city communication bypass is crazy. never knew it
And hilarious. "Oh, hang on, I'm getting a call on the other line, I'll, uh, call you back later!"
I know that it's not mentioned, but you showing that Tribal Stage still works on the "illegal" continent is really interesting!

oh wow that was impressive! thank u for the sea monster bypass tutorial, it's something that always annoyed me when playing spore as a kid
Especially when you got the water and land swapped glitch, where ur nest is in the water and if you go on land the "sea" monster kills you
Can I just quickly say thank you for adding actual good subtitles
Nothing makes me happier than seeing "old timey" spore creators STILL making content for this game.
Try and make civilization stage on Earth
Seconded
stupid communism
That's just playing Civ 5
That's an interesting idea! I wonder if it's possible (through glitches or mods) to get the Earth terrain in Civilization Stage. I'm not sure currently how to get that to happen, home planets seem to be restricted to 15 different set terrain layouts.
@@KinglyValence maybe with cheat engine, though IDK because I don't understand about the subject
Wow, that sea monster skip is so cool. I'm sure back in the day when people were playing on Window Vista that would have crashed the game for sure lol!

its a good day when kinglyvalence posts
kinglyvalence 2024 be like "beating spore without a creature while suplexing god"
The fact that theres even a nest on the other continent is even weirder its like maxis wanted to add an nest to the other side but tried to hide it with the Sea Monster
I think those nests are used as markers for other civilisations and their goody huts when it gets to that stage.
They're actually still used for cities in the civ stage.

This guy is the god of spore, never stop bro your vids are so good and quality! 🎉
TIL that you can voluntarily switch nests in Creature Stage.

This could be interesting to try because with connected continents there will be less cities that spawn overall, but with the continents apart you still get the full load.
What do you mean you "sculpted the planet with another save" is there a way to edit played planets in another saves space stage?
@Alex_Barbosa yes. You have to start a space stage on a new save, remember location, and quit without saving. Now knowing where that planet is, you can get there and do whatever you want with it
That continent trick is really cool! I remember a long time ago i somehow ended up on the other continent and was really confused on why there were no other creatures. Thought i broke my game. I reser it lol

This is possible with Cheat Engine and I show how to do most of that here :)

i think he is going to beat the game with no creature in the next video
We love your videos! Never stop!!❤
THAT is interessting as fu.k, so much great information fo the next run
Useful and entertaining as always.
I remember I was messing around and once ended up on the wrong continent
I did that too, dint remember how, just remember being confused on why there were no other creatures.
is there any possibility of you doing a long play series? i wanna see your reaction of just going around and exploring everything
That could be fun, maybe something done live if I work up the courage haha
the myth, the legend is back
Amazing glitches
i think i watched KinglyValence and i am not disappointed
We give them compliments, because complements are free.

Keep up the spore content

Fascinating stuff
Does the other continent have other creature nests as well, or are there only migratable nests?
There only seems to be other nests to migrate to, without regular creatures on the other continent. But once we advance into Tribal Stage regular creatures will appear. :)
So basically, playing Spore like player 3 does Smash Bros 😂
5:05 LOL

No sorry, I didn't keep the whole thing. I recorded it Fraps back in the day and the files were huge haha. Too big for my bad computer at the time.
Have you ever had the inverted land/water glitch? I wonder if that is beatable.
for how long have u been playing Spore bruh
