Got a 91 club car that is also electric tearing it down to the frame and rebuilding it sat in the woods for 10 years planning on going with a 420cc predator from harbor freight
I just turned down my shaft to 7/8 ths to fit the 10tooth drive gear and put the red spring back onto the driven clutch and drilled a new tension hole between 2 & 3 , Im up to 20mph
Thank you for your reply. I haven't found a video of someone doing that. I'm thinking of taking that approach to better line up the engine with axel gear box.@@jlistdiy

Could you have flipped over the axel and have the chain line up with the fnr?
Yes absolutely you can but the only reason I did it this way so I could change the gears for more torque or more top speed

What engine did you use? If you were to flip the axle, what gear would you use for better top end?

My speed sucks , I put a reverse spring on my driven clutch,maybe I should have left the red spring on,,,

what diff did you use?
I used the original rear end unless your asking about the gear box then that's a go kart reverse gear box and can be found on Amazon or ebay
Is the frame aluminum and if it is how did you weld that steel engine mounting plate to it?
