I’ve been paddling an Aventura 110 for the last few months, mostly in lakes and class 1 rivers. Like Dan said, this family of yaks is a fantastic starting point and the 110 handles very well, is super maneuverable, but not light lol
That looked crazy on the coast. I am almost certain I will choose the Ventura125 for a long trip on the Mekong River next year, one of my concerns was the combination of both handling rapids up to class 2, being comfortable and track well. It seems this boat does it all. And seing your intro I am certain it can take a beating without breaking. :-)
So bummed these just don’t seem to be available in NY, can’t find one to sit in and try out to save my life - they look like a great option for me but not if I can’t find one…
They're beautiful and I want one, and could get one easily, but given they are also designed with beginners like me in mind, I feel that the 110 should be cheaper in Europe, thus more accessible to beginners. It's mere 50€ less than the next up but lacks the whole front bulkhead compartment. 100 or 150€ down from the 125 would be spot on.
@@HeadwatersKayak Thanks Dan i just looked there number up and looks like they open at 10 am. I will give them a call to see what they have. Many thanks again brother
I'm considering a Pungo 12 footer, I like the forward bulkhead, but not that it doesn't have a front storage. Does this one have the forward bulkhead, and which do you think handles better? Anyone's input is welcome.
This has a front bulkhead. I did a video comparison that featured this and a Pungo as well as three others. I think you’d find that one helpful. Top Rec kayaks under $1000
Clark Stuart well that’s me paddling it in the video and I’m from California. We have a dozen of them in my rental tour and it’s our go to boat for tours. It’s stable, yet moved through the water very nice. Highly recommend it.
@@HeadwatersKayak I can't find any independent reviews , I'm in Venice Italy and can get them from Ozone Kayaks in Treviso Italy , I'm down to two ....The feel Free Aventura 140 or the Wilderness systems Tsunami 140 , there's loads of reviews on the Tsunami but little or nothing on the Aventura 140. Oh and thanks for the quick reply.
I've been to several shops but learned everything I know by being on the water and watching your videos. Thanks
That opener was epic!
Thanks man, between Dan's paddling skill and Nick's video/editing we are going to have some more awesome content coming soon!
Headwaters Kayak looking forward to it!
positive thigh contacts, two bulkheads, great energy , nice tracking. 'GReat boat"

Looks great I saw them in Ozone kayaks in Treviso Italy but I'm unsure on the length and this is the only review that i found about them.
Just bought an Aventura 140, thanks for all the info 💪🏻 can’t wait to get it into the water
The only video about Aventura. Like!
The Aventuras are incredible boats and I am sure once people get one to paddle it will be all over the place! Thanks for watching!

The kayak is magnificent.
How a kayak behaves when moving in a straight line on a wave.
How fast is he.
I wish they still made orange. I got in the kayak game too late :(. Thanks for the videos.
Looks like the back of seat comes out of the “keyhole” was it hard to get a skirt over it?
Thight brace drop down skeg 12 foot looks like we have a winner
Dan do you have the 14 in orange in stock out there. If so i may need to make that trip. Very sad they discontinued this color option.
I saw one for sale at Headwaters Adventure company in Redding.

I am from Belarus and take a long look at Aventura 14. Very little information about the kayak.
I knew that was home right when I saw the rocks/cliffs. 😭
In your opinion, do you think this would be good in a calm bay (open water, technically), for a beginner 6'0, 270pds (ish) guy? Thanks
dan is 6ft 2in 220lb. i dont see you having any problems

How does a kayak behave during a long trip to the sea under a wave?
How does the Aventura match up with the Wilderness Tsunami family of day touring yaks?
Performance wise is pretty similar. I think the wilderness build quality is better.
Thanks. I am leaning towards the Tsunani because of the seat adjustments
How would the 14.0 eddy out?
What size and type spray skirt do you have on that 14 foot
i can't find one for sale anywhere
Has anyone tried one of these? I’ve been looking at them but most of the reviews are from foreign countries seems like

@@HeadwatersKayak I can't find anything on these even if they look great.
They are a great value. Not sure what info you need. Not a lot of shops sell them, but there are 6-7 stores in the west coast that sell them.

I am 1000% in love with my 120
