Yea, not quite :-)
It goes through that phase that every console has. Kids that played on it are now adults and want to revisit it for nostalgia. People that couldn't afford it new, now easily can. And because of the modding scene and the market being flooded with them, prices for consoles are low and game prices don't matter anymore, so why not just get one.
This happened with PSP, PS2, 3DS and many other consoles already.
