Fun fact: On Spirit Train, if you have a bunny hat, spirits to increase speed and use a star to make yourself invincible, it's actually possible to outrun the train if you start at the front BUT, there is a glitch that causes you to fall through the floor to your doom. (At least, last time I tried this.)
When was the last time? It might be patched if no one else is experiencing it when replicating this. I never tried it but it sounds fun
Well, after deciding to go back and try the glitch on v13.0.1, I can honestly say the Spirit Train glitch has been patched out. Not even Sonic with the bunny hat and 3 speed+ spirits can outrun the train anymore.
That happened to me, too!
@@antoniocurcio693 try add a super mushroom to it?
Like the old Sonic on Big Blue thing in Smash Bros. Brawl or the Sonic on Big Blue with Bunny Ears power up in Smash Bros. Ultimate (and Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U too I think).
You know, it’s ok that you were playing with items and hazards, but playing time battles instead of stock is simply an unforgivable sin…
Agreed
Geez let people play their preferred version. 🙄
Lol I agree but everyone enjoys the game differently than others
We play with our kids, timed battles are a necessity or the kids would be gone within 2 mins
True. Who even using time battles?
I do miss Poke Float though..
amazing times :(
I like how Poké Floats is popular despite the reality of the stage being a bunch of Pokémon models enlarged and set on paths across a barren pink sky.
I never played Melee but I do now!
Luigikid Gaming, I’m shocked Pokéfloats never made it back into Ultimate
I also miss Mario Kart 7's Rainbow Road.
It's a really awesome stage.
True
I don't think Inklings actually have feet like that, but I could be wrong.
Let’s avoid talking about inkling feet
Agreed
I think there's an ankle bracelet in Splatoon 2 that makes your Inkling barefoot
They have pretty similar feet to Xbox Live avatars
they do and it looks real when you use a mod of inkling girl
I remember playing as Greninja on the Miiverse stage and seeing a message that said: “I wish Greninja would drown.”
Lmfao
XD
Lol XD
No cap?
@@graysonwillette1606 No Cap.
Fun Fact: Back in Smash 4 I used to use the Great Cave Offensive as some sort of survival land. Basically I would choose a character and see how long they’d last against 7 Olimar’s at 1-Stock
Why Olimar?
@@prestonandtom9337 cuz olimar sucks
This guy is an enemy in pikmin 2. He lives in a cave and tries to survive
@@prestonandtom9337cus hes the best

Dude forgot to proofread
Lol
I feel alone in that I love stages with hazards. I completely understand why they’re hated from a competitive perspective, but, to me, Smash has always been about the fun and chaos. Just like in Mario Party, the bullshit is part of the experience.
Chaos is fun but sometimes even when you're playing with friends, too much chaos just gets annoying. It stops becoming "let's put our characters together and fight while dealing with the stage" and becomes "let's all try to survive the stage and then at the end someone might win by accident". You can't just turn on all the Chaos Features and expect to have a good time.
I think there’s a balance.
Smash 64 had a lot of chaos, but I’d argue the hazards weren’t as bad as some that came later. Chaos is fun in perspective, but after awhile good players learn to exploit it, and it just ends up further dividing the power gap instead of shaking things up like it’s supposed to.
I play with hazards half the time I would say. Sometimes I want them and sometimes there are stages that are terrible with them. It just depends on what stage you are playing and what type of match you are looking for.
I agree except Megaman's stage with that Yellow Guy
Chaos is exactly why i love Smash!
I'm probably the only one here who actually loves the Mario Bros stage. I loved it as a kid in Brawl and so I was extremely excited when they announced it's return in Ultimate. I love how much damage and knockback the Koopas and crabs cause, and how it sometimes takes ages for people to die because they keep bouncing back and forth off the ceiling. It's so chaotic and matches can either be over quickly or be really long.
i absolutely love it too
It's one of my favorites as well! It's so chaotic in the best way possible
Objectively it's pretty bad but God it's funny
As a casual stage, especially with items on high, this is one of the best stages. As a competitive stage its obviously pretty terrible
Nice pfp
I don’t see the big problem with the halberd. I always found the stage hazards extremely easy to avoid.
LOL I like how it's Meta Knight saying that
@@EmperorPenguin1217 yep
I agree, the stage hazards are really slow to land on you, so who cares if they kill you or do a ton of damage
It was even legal in Brawl for that very reason.
Ok mr biased
I like every stage (except 75m, PAC LAND, Rumble Falls, and Icicle Mountain) in both an ironic and genuine sort of way.
There are definitely some enjoyment you can find in the worst of stages, especially if you and your friends just don’t care and like the chaos
Me and my cousin enjoy Pac Land, idk, I just find it fun
I say that the boss stages are pretty bad stages compared to those because the bosses feel like a player 3 that basically invincible, especially bosses that help one of the players because it gets in the way of a 1v1 and ends up being a 1v2. I still like boss stages as a concept but in practice it can be pretty frustrating. The only time I love them is like in classic mode or in the subspace emissary game modes. I still like bosses in stages but if it was just me and the boss. The only time I accept it is when the match is for fun.
pac lands a mess it should be replaced by pac maze so we dont have to deal with autoscrolling
Out of all the Autoscrollers, Pac-Land is the only one I hate. But my least favorite would easily have to go to 75m for obvious reasons.
It's such a shame that they removed the Underground Stage from Mushroomy Kingdom.
Honestly, Rainbow Cruise is the best scrolling stage since it's the most slow moving one, and it gives you a lot of room to fight on
I know this is an old comment, but Rainbow Cruise is the only scrolling stage that I genuinely like.
In my opinion, all of the others make me feel like I'm playing an auto scrolling platformer while I'm trying to play Smash.
Gamer is one of my favorites tbh. It’s my sisters favorite stage because because of Ashley’s song. Plus the mom makes it really fun having to hide from her for a second or knocking your opponent into her gaze. Good stuff.
Opinion respected because I was so scared of that stage when I was like 8 or 9. The part that scares me the most is when 5-volt comes in the room and gets angry if she spots you. The lion roar she makes when being angry made me never want to play that stage again.
That thumbnail is crazy 💀
I wish they had 3 more just to fill that void at the bottom. Pac Maze Pike Floats and Rainbow Road would be my picks
I was absolutely stunned when poke floats and pac maze didnt make the cut for ultimate. I remember telling so many people at launch that Sakurai was out of his mind for not including those 2 stages but including like 7 different mushroom kingdoms
It's one if the few things that hold ultimate back for me. I wish they included those stages, added board the platform and break the targets stuff for the stage builder, and more singleplayer stuff. It would truly be ultimate then.
Replace PAC Maze with Jungle Hijinks and that’s my picks
@@BigBoy257 Jungle Hijinks is a good stage but the stage morphing is most likely the reason it got cut cause of the background
I'm pretty sure putting WarioWare Inc. and the Pictochats outside the top 20 is a war crime in several countries, but otherwise great video!
Wario Ware is great stage but I hate how it removes the edges when a mini game starts and you can get easily screwed by that,
WarioWare is awful
Pictochat is godlike!!!
Agreed
I’m completely shocked, for me Gamer is easily a top 10 stage
I agrre
The Mom isn’t even that hard to avoid, and if you got caught, it’s most likely your fault
that stage gave me nightmares
I like all the stage hazard levels because they're fun and chaotic
I agree, and the mom isn’t even that bad.
I feel like one of the main problems with moving/scrolling stages is that it puts slower characters at a huge disadvantage as for those you can barely fight because most of the time you're just trying to keep up with the stage
It's a double edged sword. While a heavyweight might have trouble keeping up with the stage, a strong hit from them on lighter characters can nab very early stocks if you know how to take advantage of them.
I actually enjoyed the gamer stage. Me and my sister would always knock each other into Mama’s light and the Ashley Remix is such a bop.
Anyone remember the intensity 9.0 challenge
In the final destination you do probably the hardest super smash bros challenge with master hand and crazy hand it was memories
Dude! awesome job! thank you, this must have taken hours to make.

This is the same guy that was against his own joke about Inkling being on hawt nintendo characters
@@ama-ri_vox 0_0
Seems like someone really doesn't like it when the stage can hurt you.
No seriously, I'm salty right now because about 40 stages are bad because you can get hit easier.
Don't get me wrong, scrolling and tiny spaces really are annoying and I don't like either.
But please, so many great stages were literally called bad because there are "annoying parts that can easily hurt or kill you".
This is the same guy that said super mario 64 was the best game
@@valverios what would you put number 1
@@craterous6972 something that is better tha nthat
@@valverios that is such a copout. I would say Odyssey or TTYD
Ikr, when I was watching the video I was thinking to myself “mad cuz bad” Like for instance the Kalos stage, I think its great but because there is a gimmick, bottom 10
I really love Magicant because it feels like the place of EarthBound came to life just for the stage. I do wish that they had done the 3D Flying Man Models that were left over from Smash 4’s beta. But Oh well.
Personally, I like stage hazards. They add more to your positioning and how you play the game
I just want to say congratulations for hitting 1 million! I've been such a fan for a few years and I absolutely love your videos! I hope you keep up the amazing videos!! :)
Nathaniel has officially gone insane
I appreciate that Ultimate focused on adding simpler stages, I hate fighting on stages that are way too chaotic and it's nice to have a break from all the chaos. Also, they should've brought back Pac-Maze instead of Pac-Land.
I love the stages with unique hazards because without them every stage would just be battlefield again (ex. Hollow Bastion) and if you like that *then just go play battlefield* 🤣🤣🤣
16:00 WAS THAT THE STAGE OF 87!?
i guess
I think I’m the first person to enjoy Great Cave Offensive. Maybe it’s the massive kirby fan in me loving the references, but I honestly love the gimmick of being on the verge of dying when you’re even slightly over 100%. And when it’s a 1 - 1 match, the stage has so many options when it comes to taking the match somewhere else. I guess there are small upsides to anything. One man’s trash is another man’s Great Cave.
I love Great Cave as well! It’s mainly because it’s one of the only big stages that can actually end after a decent amount of time with the lava zones. It makes last stock, high percentage end of match battles super intense.
I only fight on the top portion of the stage since it has the least amount of lava
@@rumblebird9888 You always gotta go for the stages that provide chaos
Great Cave is one of those "so bad it's good" stages, unlike 75 m, which is just plain bad.
The absolute best stage is Corneria. Kick ass music, just enough chaos, and the environment is great. Memorable spots like the docking bay in the back or the laser cannon on the bottom
When i saw the title i thought he was only talking about ultimate stages, then he got to jungle falls and i realized just how thorough this man is
He didn't mention the cool little detail on the Umbra Clock Tower. If you're unfamiliar with it, the clock tower actually shows the exact time on the switch. Pretty cool.
5:23 "Did anyone actually play Game and Wario?"
I STILL play that game today lol
Here’s the thing with Palutena’s temple. If they split into multiple parts what would the name for each of them be?
Me and all my siblings love Palutena's temple, one of the most fun stages
Palutena's Temple is already perfectly fine in a 1v1 where the camera can zoom in. If the game had split-screen it would work better with more than 2 players. The map itself is perfectly serviceable. Nothing too gimmicky, plenty of room to fight, lots of points of interest.
Why is gamers so low? That stage is great.
it is his opinion, but you’re right.
toad
Agreed
Wait...why? Its not even that chaotic (imo).
Gamer is a creepy stage
Another ranking video we need is every Mario Party board 1-Superstars
Small correction: the Brinstar and Planet Zebes stages dont have "yellow lava" its just acid
I love how you take off Inkling’s Shoes like it.
Why
Hot take: I like Mushroomy Kingdom. I personally don’t think it scrolls that fast, and I like the idea of having an apocalyptic World 1, since it hasn’t been touched in a long time. I think that’s a creative idea.
Ultimate has so many great stages. Here’s my favorite stage from each game:
64 - Hyrule Castle
Melee - Temple
Brawl - Summit
Sm4sh - Palutena’s Temple
Ultimate - Northern Crater
@@bigd8199 That’s your opinion, and I’m fine with it, but I just had a lot of fun on those stages.

Stages (in my opinion) which I think should be higher:
5:27 this used to be one of my favourite stages when I was a casual.
9:23 this layout surprisingly is good for 1v1s.
10:19 this layout is deserves more credit, and going on the tracks adds a bit of layer to it.
11:44 this isn’t the best but it still should have been a bit higher.
13:35 the blast zone doesn’t really harm the stage too much for me, but people can get a bit cheesy with it.
14:41 this stages visuals should of got it a bit higher by itself, you don’t go on the ship too much and the canon/laser is easy to avoid.
15:55 the water is annoying but the layout is simple and affective.
16:17 I think this should of been just below Pokemon stadium 1, the more chaotic layouts in a way are better.
19:12 “wait wait?” You’re probably thinking, but ye, this is better than you think. The simple layout is good, I REALLY like the dark beast hazard and this is just sick for a super hard costume spirit battle. (Also megalovania can be played on this).
19:40 this should be higher than the bridge of eldin, the 2 platforms makes more interesting.
20:15 IDK, it’s just good. But it’s layout without any hazards is good.
20:50 IDK again, just better than it’s placed. Tho it is a good 1v1 map.
20:59 this is a fun 3 player smash map. Better than it’s placed.
21:12 OK OK, I know this isn’t the right place to say because I’m taking about stages better than you think but… NATHANIEL ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!? Sorry but this stage is dog water for me.
22:23 this deserves to be a bit higher. It’s one of the best transition stages in the game.
23:51 IDK again again, but I guess it’s well not as good a with hazards.
24:05 IDK again again again, just better than you think.
24:32 not by much but better than you think.
25:17 without hazards: ABSOLUTE BANGER OF A SET OF STAGES.
30:31 this is ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST STAGES IN THE GAME.
31:18 OK WHAT? You’re joking me right? Ok! Small battle field is my favourite stage. Obviously I’m not trying to bash on your opinion, but in my list this stage is THE best. Oh ye btw in my opinion the top platform is the worst, I’m happy it got removed in small battlefield.
what is that thumbnail 💀
😏
You do know that Minecraft World, Super Mario Maker, Balloon Fight, and Mushroomy Kingdom (at least in Brawl) all have more than just one layout, right?
The thumbnail just made me realize that if Inkling Girl returns in Splatoon 3 she would be in her early 20's
6:59 I think it also appears like that in Smash 4 as well
Well damn, I don't even wanna know where he got that thumbnail from.
This is great timing because I ran out of smash ultimate videos to watch, BTW I recommend redoing the final smash ranking video because of new characters
We all know joker would be number one.
I love great cave offensive when we play on it, we do a survival game with 8 players with the survivor coming out on top. Also I love all the big stages. But when I'm doing competitive smash...I never even touch it.
Great cave offensive is top 5 casual stages
I don’t know why, Byleth was one of the greatest DLC characters out there.
Out of all the DLC characters, they're the one I use the most... and I've never even played a Fire Emblem game.
It’s the worst one since it’s from a franchise everybody is tired of getting new characters (talking about characters in the game since they are all the same thing except for Robin)
@@andresreynoso7254 wdym all the same? Ike, Robin, Corrin and Byleth have all unique movesets

Congratulations on hitting 1 million subscribers man I’ve been watching for a while and subed on a older account. It’s just awesome to see you hit such a big milestone
I think the hazards/items on rule is fair because you're right, that's how the levels were "intended"
But Palutena's Temple and Great Cave Offensive were intended to be played with 8 players. I mostly agree with Great Cave Offensive's placement, but Palutena's Temple is perfect for 8 player Smash. It's always between that and the og Temple. Such a versatile stage. My favorite ruleset is 2v2v2v2 because each team basically ends up with a "base" that they can fortify in, or go on the offensive and try to take down other teams.
23:34 Having a foot fetish thumbnail AND referencing Lostprophets? This video is a red flag

Congrats on one million subs
idk people seem to hate playing with items and stage hazards, but I've always really enjoyed having to worry about other things besides players, and items give players with less lives/higher damage a chance to clutch
I thinks that’s point clutch part is kinda Garbo for people who play seriously because anything could happen at point you could be winning then an item would ruin everything and people like it off since show how skillful you are in game without items for stage hazards part keep some type of balance in melee and I think brawl they had hazard stages before but was really bad such as rainbow cruiser, in melee some people still use Pokémon stadium but some times they mod it so doesn’t change layout
And some people like find them not fun since it’s bs, I find kinda mix for me but I mainly like no items and some people who play competitive doesn’t mind items
@@mythrus212 for competitive yea but if ur playing casually with some friends having no items can be pretty boring imo
Smash wasn’t made to be a competitive fighting game but that doesn’t mean that competitive smash is stupid in fact the opposite
