    Thank you
    Hi
This car came to me with a few issues...
The idling was really rough, and sometimes would stall, also was no response at all from the accelerator pedal...
On the ecu, faults for the accelerator pedal, a throttle body and some others...
But, was this components at fault?
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how I resolved it...
NOTE: The car was later road tested, and I can happily add that the car drove absolutely fault free... nearly...
It came up with two faults, one for fuel pump, and one for mixture or something along those lines...
They clear, but come back when driving, still, even with this faults, the car drives perfectly... so should be something simple... I hope!
In an attempt to fix the original problem, someone replaced the fuel pump with a third party one, and apparently the fuel rail...
This faults only come up when you drive the car, and I am not sure under which circumstances, as was not me that road tested the car...
I don't believe this issues are related to the repair performed on this video, but who knows... It should be me that is going to have a look at the issue, if I do, I will obviously record it, so stay tuned!

top marks for the amount of patience that you have.I watched all your video and was very impressed on the work you did .I must say I wouldn't have done it myself I would have bought a s/h ECU and coded it. I think i would have saved a lot of time and headaches, because as I said in another video of yours recently if you had not found the fault ,all that work would have been for nothing and its not worth the risk, because you could have done more cars in the mean time.

I watched quite a few of you videos. I have exactly the same hobby ... to fix cars that others couldn't... I can hear in your voice at the end whem problem is solved I know the feeling :-)
Mybe one suggestion : when working with fibreglass pen WATCH YOUR EYES ! Those tiny fibres that break could end up in your eye when you blow them off. No doctor coud find it in your eye because it is totaly transparrent. Maybe use glasses.
I also try to fix ecu before I replace it if there is too much damage.
And about the previous comment we all know about "no coding neded for used ecu" :-)
Keep up the great work !

Golden rule on E90, any engine faults, always check the ECU first as it takes seconds to pull it out the box. It is very common for them to have been swimming in the box. I have swapped alot of DME on E90. You can clone them with KTAG easy enough, and if the eeprom is totally rotten then there is a handy tool called "ISN CAS DME Editor" which lets you change the used scrap yard DME VIN number and CAS code to match your own CAS.

Great video LM! That ECU looked like it had been sat in a water puddle for months, IA is not gonna fix that, too many components would have shorted out. Sone of those MOSFETS are very sensitive. Wouldn't trust that on my engine even if you did get it working again. Nice try though and just shows how you go that extra mile for the customer.

A sincere greeting from the heart, sir
I am from Algeria, and I am doing the profession of car trouble checking with the help of the fault detection device
I am very impressed with your way of tracking faults and your professionalism
My question to you is that I rely on a scanning device like Launch to determine the circuit in which the malfunction is and the reason is that the circuit is open and it is completed by connecting it to the sensor or any other piece.
Is the method practical or not and thankful

      Hi
The scanner, just buy the best you can afford!
Launch, Autel... etc... is up to you to make your research and decide what is best and suitable for the cars you are going to work on...
      Hope that help.

Blocked drains is not a Renault thing. The same way it's not a BMW thing! Fact is that anything that's dependent on drains, is also dependent on maintenance! Which, as we all know, sometimes is missing altogether.
Damn, a couple of weeks ago I had a clogged rain downspout on my house! Loaded with leaves, etc. Fortunately there's no electronics below it. Otherwise would be the same drama! LOL 😂

I watched all the video and felt that your knowledge about the way the ECU is wired and connected gave you that ability to test the PCB with wire-links between components and clean it up, that only those who have an understanding of PCB circuitry could use to repair this problem. . My question is have you had software/electronic training and how long did it take you to get to the level of technical knowledge that you have or have you picked it up along the way?

Thank you for the knowledge but I'm in deep pain and I'm scared of my possible damages I cause about 30mins ago on a bmw 2008 320i sports pack. I ran through a pothole and my car showed the engine sign and stopped putting power to the wheels, It won't even accelerate but it's idling and starting. Would you know the possible effect? Under the car they seem to be no physical damage or oil leak and yes I switched the car off and on a couple of time but it won't change anything.
