    I waited for the ice blue in 35 mm and just received it. Very nice. I also bought the MOP. Two great options.

    I have the quartz version of the 40mm silver dial and I love it. I also purchased a leather strap for it from Tissot. My wife likes the baby blue version in 35mm, I always thought that is more of a girly color. They need to make a pink version for women, that is kind of a hot color now.

    Looks great on the wrist. And I been eyeing a GS as well. Specifically the SBGY013 which has the same dial as the omiwatari but white & with a bracelet. The bracelet does it for it as it looks like a great for everyday wear. It’s pretty hefty on price tag but you can pick up used watches for like 20-30% off. I like the fit of smaller watches too

    Since I got an Orient AAA in 35mm, I like much more the smaller sizes. Now thinking about getting the smaller PRX automatic...

    Noce pick up! I won one of these in a UA-cam competition, nice dial. My only negative is the crown could be a bit bigger. I find it's hard work winding and setting it. Also i have the sbga 415. The gs watches are beautiful indeed.

    Pictures do not give this watch credit. It has a silvery finish with a hint of blue. The watch has just a slight sparkle in light. I'm trying to say it is beautiful, but I haven't gone for it because the auto has plastic parts.Maybe that doesn't matter ,but it bugs me.

      Don't all watches under 500 have the same issue? Nh35 and miyoto are lower tier than prx no? And you feel the watch is not blingy? Doesn't pop?

    Please discuss about the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 35mm, or about the LEAKED 35mm Powermatic 80 variant in ice blue, Powermatic 80 35mm full gold with gold waffle dial, and the new Tissot PRX Chronograph Digital 35mm in both steel and gold.

    the 3 hertz is actually better for the prx because u cant adjust the movement so they made it 3 hertz to make the watch more accurate

    • @watchnerds

    Yeah reducing it from 4hz to 3hz to get more power reserve was a bad move and obv just a gimmick. No idea how nobody called that out

    What size is your wrist? I’m thinking a 40mm might be to big but also 35 might be too small! I’m 6.5 in

    • @KaydenDunford
      @KaydenDunford Рік тому

      if you want a bigger substantial watch, get the 40. If you like smaller watches kind of like casio digital watches then get the 35.

    i would say yes you should have gone for the CW in my opinion powermatic 80 has no 80 hours of powerreserve and has a plastic balance and escape wheel

    • @watchnerds
      @watchnerds Рік тому +2

      It's an overpriced sw200/sw300.
      Powermatic 80 do have 80 hours of "optimal" power reserve, while in actuality ran more than 80h.
      It's a composite escape and pallet, made so that it ran lubricant free like a pseudo silicium escapement found in the much much higher end watches, while tissot used this tech since the 80s (Tissot Idea2001 anyone?) which use the same properties as a lubricant free watch and felix baumgartner (founder of URWERK) also have one. It has been around in tissot for decades and it is proven. The hairspring which is nivarox is the same you can find in Audemars Piguet watches as they developed the hairspring together with APRP (Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi). Balance wheel is NOT plastic, it's metal alloy that is antimagnetic as it need inertia to move perfectly.

    • @batlleborn
      @batlleborn Рік тому

      @@watchnerds did you ever test the power reserve .i only got 76 hours out of it.and yes its a composite that feels very plastic like . i have my doubts about the hardness of it and if it wil leave bits of material inside the movement if ran for years. this part is hearsay but i hear a lot of the time. that the movement gets replaced more then repaired. but ill be sure in a few years because i have a tissot gentleman but its only 6 months old. butt ill know in a few years for sure . you could be wright that im wrong about the balance and that is was just the escapemovement thats is made out of the silicum . but i dont want anything in my watch movement that feels are looks like plastic in my watch that cost me 900 euro or more

    • @ballsackschrader218
      @ballsackschrader218 9 місяців тому

      @@batlleborn they didn’t use plastic to cheap out. The plastics need no lubrication and cause less wear and tear on the movement. Despite the negative connotations associated with plastic, it’s objectively better. So instead of servicing it after a “few years” like you said, you can use it for most likely a decade without problems. And lots of brands replace the movement because it’s easier for them than to service it. If you have a Tudor, for example, and you send it to them for servicing, they will replace the movement instead of servicing because it’s easier for them.
