I happened to cross the bridge the day they were filming. Didn't see Mike on the deck though, just cameras, crew, etc. FYI, the bridge is not a "government" entity, per se. It was conceived of, designed by, fundraised, constructed by, and to this day operated, maintained, and financed by the Mackinac Bridge Authority. Not the State of Michigan, not the USDOT. No tax allocations for it; tolls only.

Biggest bridge in the USA and was once biggest in the world. Far bigger than the Golden Gate Bridge. Many people out west don’t know about the Michigan Mighty MAC Mackinaw bridge. In fact, it is a whopping 5 miles longer than the golden gate and tall like skyscrapers
I should add the Michigan Mighty MAC Mackinaw Bridge is on the Michigan license plates and this should be the symbol of the USA, not golden gate which is not even golden
