Awesome mod I've seen so far for this casing. Good job!
Thanks!
Very nice, very clean
In order to not have your second screen not interfere with your main Rig, consider using a Raspberry Pi to supply video to the screen (while keeping power via USB-C from main PC so it shuts off when you turn off the PC.
Thanks for the info. I've seen the Raspberry Pi before trying this mod out. This mod seems way cooler & it doesn't interfere with the power if I'm using the mobo's USB-C to power up the portable monitor
@@rolandlee i dont understand can you explain? im not informatic XD
Unless you really need every other video output for running many multiple displays, this really won't "interfere" with your main rig. If it were me, I would just make sure the integrated graphics of the mobo was turned on and connect the screen to the mobo graphics and then obviously game or stream to my main display from the GPU. But sure, if you want a secondary system, the Raspberry Pi would be great for that.
@@Kraden26 how would you be able to run wallpaper engine onto the raspberry pi though? And the screen here is a mini hdmi and the raspberry pi 4 model b has a micro hdmi.
Both are bad ideas if you have igpu available and output from the board.
this is cool. if i wouldnt be using the front panel for my distro plate for watercooling, id go with this
Great video keep it up! I really needed a video like this so when I do my first build I can do it correctly so thank you a lot man! Also how do you not have over 100K subs? This is the same kinda video work tech UA-camrs do.
Thanks for the comment as it will aspire me to improve as I put up more content in the future. All the best in your first build!
@@rolandlee Also I think alot of people (Just me) would love to know how to configure and setup the screen mod?
@@UnOfficialViviD Naturally I think people would like to know about it since it's a pretty cool mod :)
This is STUNNING!
Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like it!
thats actually amazing
Nicely done!!
Definitely doing this..thank you for step by step tutorial..very simple..👍👍👍
Goodluck! 😊
thank you very much buddy ,such a clever guy and now i could start my new computer. cheer.
Have fun!
Any recommendation for the O11 Dynamic? Nice vid btw!
Awesome job on this! Thanks for posting the video on how you built it.
Thanks! Happy to share!
@@rolandlee Well deserved! Fan of Vader?
Fan of the dark side of the force 😆
I need a monitor for my xl. Looks clean af
I don't think there's a perfect fit for the XL. I have not seen anyone that had done it before
Very cool mod. I might have to do this myself.
Go for it! =D
My dad built this same computer for me, so thank you for the video. Have you made any additional upgrades?
you are welcome! =)
Haven't made any upgrade ever since after the pandemic
Very good Roland lee
Thanks for the guide! Could you tell me the bgm from the start?
Thank you so much for this video. I did this mod and was able to really got a solid mod thanks to some of the tips you provide. I didn’t. Use an double sided tape as the I use winmax monitor so it fit perfectly snug in the case. I also used grateful glitters bracket.
Great to hear that & I'm glad you did it even better than I am 😁
HI Muse Prime, just to clarify, you have the Lian Li 011D mini and also got a WinMax monitor? can you please reply with a link to the Winmax monitor? i'd love to do your mod! thanks!
Question does your monitor sometime disconnect?
@@museprime8784 In this video you could see that the portable monitor is feeding power off the mobo & it started to flicker & disconnect when I'm gaming with my main monitor. That indicated the portable monitor is not getting enough power supply from the mobo so I've changed it to feed power from a normal USB-C power adapter & everything was fine. Probably my RTX3060 is sucking up all the juices. So perhaps yours might be the same case. Hope that helped.
@@rolandlee so interesting enough. I used the cable from winmaxit and I don’t have any issue with disconnection. So I think the issue might be the usb cable you suggested. I don’t think there is a enough wattage for the cable.
Man i really like my lian li o11 der8auer, these are great to build in, from beginner to expert
Agreed! 👍
Amazing work mate
Thanks!

Thanks!! 😊
It looks vary cool!
Thanks a lot
nice video! really cool front panel but that raidiator placement hits me.
Thanks for the concern. I've gotten the tip from here ua-cam.com/video/b6m9Xhzc6Kw/v-deo.html as well as Gaming Nexus on the radiator placement.
I was thinking about doing this, but opted to do just a 7 inch screen instead. Mostly because I'm not sure if I want to keep the glass front, or swap in the mesh front on the EVO Dynamic. My case won't be in the most well vented area (in the corner of a room), so temps kind of concerns with me with a 7950X3D paired with a 4090.
Great Mod! I did it too for my Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini ;-)
awesome to hear that!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
I've found that loading the monitor with the plugs on the top leave a gap in between the front panel. Others have suggested loading it with the plugs on the bottom and drilling a hole for them to sit though.
Great suggestion, I might try that out but I guess there's no need to drill holes for now
Now do one with the dynamic evo please
Perfecto!!!!
This is actually insane for things like lan partys. Always have a second screen
you're right!
Thanks for the video. This looks awesome. I'm going to try this on an O11 Dynamic Evo. By the way, do you worry about air becoming trapped in the CPU water pump because of the orientation of the radiator with the hoses at the bottom?
Goodluck with the setup! On the AIO, not at all. Seems like a good positioning for me so far :)
Can you drop a link to the mini hdmi cable you used? I’m having a hard time finding a cable that’s long enough
That s such a good mod.
thanks!
Thats legit!
Awesome !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Short and straight to the point nice job! Keep up the good work, you've earned a subscriber :D Btw what length did you get the mini hdmi and usb c cables?
Thanks! Both the cables are 2 meters in length. In this video you could see that the portable monitor is feeding power off the mobo & it started to flicker when I'm gaming with my main monitor. That indicated the portable monitor is not getting enough power supply from the mobo so I've changed it to feed power from a normal USB-C power adapter. Probably my RTX3060 is sucking up all the juices..
@@rolandlee does your gpu has 2 HDMI ports? Because you connected the 13" monitor with your GPU, so you'd need a second HDMI for your desk monitor(?)
@@cerberus_3269 2 DP & 2 HDMI
Does this work for the O11 Air Mini as well?
i hope you make one with Hyte y60 other than that awesome video
Awesome 100%💥💥
Thanks! 😃
Great video! - the only query I had was around the radiator installation.. it looks as though yours is installed upside down? - I was also advised that the outlets should be at the highest point as this avoid air bubbles and overworking the pump?.. not sure how true that is though looking at your build...
There are a lot of debate on this but I'll just stick to the current position. Previously I had it in a different position just like you had described but many told me to change it. I'm not entirely sure anymore lol
This is so amazing and easy, I want to do this so bad. I wish these cases didn't require SFF PSUs 😥
Perhaps you could consider this mod in the near future
Hey man great video ! Just wondering if a 15'6 inch monitor would fit or has to be a 13 or a 14 inch one ???
15.6 might overkill this mod for this casing. Try to stick with 14 inch & below.
Just curious as to the orientation of your fans. Very nice mod here too, I just went with a 7 inch display on the backside, wish I saw this first lol.
Never too late to change to a bigger screen =)
Awesome mod!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial. I just want to ask if a 15 or even a 16 inch portable monitor fit on this case?
Not likely, you won't have room for the cables
awesome idea ! Can you tell me about temp inside the case ? you add more heat inside .
Temperature is the same 😄
Oh! this is sweet!! but how hot does case internal temperatures get when coupled with an AMD 5900x and standard GPU?
The portable monitor doesn't affect any temperature differences in the chassis. All would depend on what kind of cooling & setup that you are going to use.
This, but running full diagnostics with aida64
FPS for gaming, Temps, you name it. The possibilities are endless
If you're not putting Gundams, EVAs, or hot waifus on the screen you're seriously mentally challenged.
Super clean but I have an xl and I’m trying to do a push and pull rad on the side mount so I would deff need a larger screen and see about clearance 🤦🏿♂️
Thanks! I've not seen anyone doing it for the XL yet. FYI I have 4 fans at the side all setup to pull. No issue on the clearance.
@@rolandlee the mini can do 4 fans in the side?
did u end up finding out what size screen you'd need for the xl
@@TheFinestJhe I completed my build but never installed a screen due to all the rgb I have lol that cable management is no joke
@@leoasamuel do u happen to know what the size of the front panel is might see if I can just get a screen around the same size
Could you tell me what is the model of your AIO please? You are one of the few who have ensembled the radiator pipes the correct way, with the pipes facing down.
Thanks! ID Cooling Auraflow 😎
Very Nice Mod. I couldn't tell, did you put the fans back in after?
Thanks! Yep, I did installed the fans back into the Radiator if that's what you were asking.
@@rolandlee Yes, thanks
Nice..
what wallpaper software or source did you get for your wallpapers to get it to stick in portrait mode? Ive never been able to size them properly, it's always blown up in landscape mode since my other monitor is a widescreen landscape setup
Wallpaper engine by Steam =)
Hey, awesome build!!
You mind share the brand of the monitor pleasee 😁
I've included the links in the description 😀
uff i have to do that!!!
Don't think, Just Do It =)
An all white pc, a man of culture as well
What did you use to cover up the gaps on top and bottom?
As the monitor a tiny bit smaller to fit or align to the front center casing glass, so I used some hard sponge at the bottom. No gaps at the top.
How do you get those cool screen savers?
Wallpaper Engine by Steam 😊
Hi Roland, I'm one step away from migrating to Lian Li o11D mini with my all-fans ID cooling setup, and this inspired me. One question though, I see that you removed your fan intake on the radiator. After installing your front screen, did you install it back? Did it fit?
Hey there. Yep! I've installed it back with a perfect fit. The fans are 120m. Goodluck with this mod!
@@rolandlee Super nice and clean build you have! Hands down. Do you think a 15.6" screen will fit in the front panel?
@@errolapacible8752 It'll fit but you wouldn't have enough room for the cables therefore I wouldn't recommend it at all. 14 inch will be a good fit. Try to get a monitor with the thinnest bezel & high screen to body ratio.
@@rolandlee super helpful! Thank you for your wisdom!
No sense 100$ waste.Useless.It only wastes electricity, nvm you’re only getting a visual addition
It’s an option only if you’re a millionaire lol good luck
I'm trying to get my hands on the products for my build please let me know the the Amazon item #
Hey Roland super clean build. I have a question. The 2 fans with radiator on the side. Are this 120 or 140mm fans?
Thanks and greetings from Germany
Markus
Guten tag Markus! Yes, I'm using four 120mm fans (two on front radiator & two on back radiator) with all setup as intake.
is 2 140mm fans will fit with monitor inside?
@@xinxian03 It will but it's gonna be really tight in there unless you have superb cable & space alignment skills. Overall I'll suggest not to =)
Do you think it's better to go with a 13.3 inch screen or a 14 inch one? Most people doing this used 14 inch, except for you, so I'm worried the 13.3 inch might leave gaps between the screen and the bezels
14 inch would be fine 💪
Amazing
Thanks!
It's so freaking beautiful. What is the samurai girl wallpaper you are showcasing
Thanks. It's one of those wallpapers that you can find in Wallpaper Engine in Steam
im swapping my xl oll case just so i can do this mod, also bec i dont need a huge case anymore i didnt plan out my build and bought a case that was too big for my taste.
goodluck!
Can i use 15.6 inch screen? Pls reply because in my country I can't find 14inch Or 13.3 inch portable screen there's one 14 inch screen but it connects with only usb c cable for both display and power so pls tell me if I can do this mod with 15.6 inch screen
15.6 is too big. You will struggle for space
Good day! Is your AIO an exhaust or an intake? Thanks!
its intake =)
I want you to know you inspired me to build mine ✨️ ✨️
Great to hear that! Let us know the results
hi bro, wich fan you used?
Lian Li ST120
Where did you get all of those cool gifs that you displayed? and also how do you flip the screen so that it is orientated the right way in windows? This looks amazing.
Thanks! I'm not sure what cool gifts you were referring to. Yes it can be flip, just need to go to Window's monitor settings & adjust it.
@@rolandlee I mean all the images/clips that you put onto the monitor you installed, I was wondering where you got them because they look really cool. Thanks for replying!
@@Jdjdjrb It's wallpaper Engine on steam. The "gifs" you're referring to, are in fact wallpapers. The screen in the video acts as a second or third screen which will power up once you turn on the pc. You're going to have to boot up windows and configure the wallpaper for that particular screen in order to show the backgrounds you just saw in the video.
I need this for the full size case i keep seeing this for the mini but cant seem to fine it for mine
you can be the first one that is doing it for the full size case 😀
Is this mod available for the full towers ?
If you can find a suitable portable monitor that fits in nicely, you can be the first one to do it :)
You - My doghouse have a backyard
Roland - My pc have a Pc 😶
😆
I saw a small gap on top of the screen, maybe 14inch would fit more?
one question, did you connect that usb c to the motherboard?
Gap is to make room for the wires, I wouldn't go any screen larger than that. Yes, I connected USB-C to mobo but the power supply from the mobo is not sufficient enough when I'm running games so I had to connect it to a power socket & everything was perfect till now.
Cool idea, but the fact that none of the current GPU companies can handle proper power savings for dual screen setups... makes this mod slightly a bad idea. Maybe using the GPU of an CPU can work around this problem.. but don't get me wrong cool idea! - I like it
Thanks! This mod screen act as a secondary screen. Doesn't consume much power since it's a small monitor
Did you have to mount the side radiator a bit to the left? Meaning only 2 screw holding the rad?
I can't really remember whether it was shifted to the left bit or not but I'm pretty sure all 4 screws are holding it firmly.
Compatible with distro plate at the back of the monitor?
I don't think so. That would overkill.
Love the video! Btw What’s the song that plays at 2:33?
Just Dance by Patrick Patrikios. Free to use from UA-cam music library.
Is there any software that can display performace specs and temps ?
There are many in the market. I'm using FRAPS
I want to know if you can take the backlight and diffusion layers out of the LCD and just leave the LCD layer so that the screen is translucent. I think it would be amazing to see animations play while still seeing the inside of the case through it. I'm too cheap to try though
I am not Ironman enough to do that 😁
@@rolandlee Which 13.3 inch panel is this? Regards from germany

Goodluck! 😄
Take a picture of the interior from front when you have front off, make it the desktop picture for that screen. Then you can run transparent animations on top where you still "see" the interior of the case..
Ik I'm late but you could record what the inside of the case would look like from the front and the add effects above it and then display it on Ur screen
THe AIO you have were you able to screw in all the appropriate spots on the radiator/fans?
Yeppp 😁
Hi, in your AIO is 240mm required to fit the monitor? or even 280mm can do? Thank you
I think it's doable but you'll struggle a little bit more for space
Hey Roland, how do you set the backgrounds for the front panel?
Wallpaper Engine by Steam
Nice mod! Which video is used at 3:13?
Its a wallpaper from Steam. Not a video
Will this screen fit the Lian Li 011am-G??
not likely since no one have done it yet with that casing
Anybody know the size screen needed for the regular o11 d?

Hello. what motherboard did you use for this set up?
PD: Sorry for my bad english

I want to do this do you have links for Amazon or Newegg?
Sorry, I don't have links to those websites.
What’s a cool spot to get the animated backgrounds
I'm using Wallpaper Engine from Steam 😊
sorry oot, wanna ask do u have problem with radiator upside down like that, some people say it will torturing the pump
There are mixed opinions on this. So far it's working fine for me.
So how do you get the wallpapers to appear on the screen? Software?
Wallpaper Engine by Steam 😊
would you happen to know a good size monitor for the Lian Li O11 dynamic to recommend?
Till date, I've not seen anyone recommending a monitor for the normal Dynamic case
I want to know how thick the monitor you installed and clashes with the cold row on the side?
probably about 1CM thickness
now add a battery to it and you pretty much have a laptop.
(could get a wide screen for the side panel too)
Hey your rad is mounted wrong, you should put it where the tubes coming out of the rad are higher then the pump, or it could cause pump failure later down the line.
Thanks for the concern. I've gotten the tip from here ua-cam.com/video/b6m9Xhzc6Kw/v-deo.html as well as Gaming Nexus
I bought the medium case (Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi) and i want to do the same screen on the front of the case, but it is larger than your, how can i do that ? Is there an ultrawide mini screen ?
There are bigger screens like the 15.5 inch but I'm not sure it will fit perfectly into the normal O11 dynamic. Please measure the front case against the the portable monitor before you commit the purchase =)
Btw can you put the fan you tool out back in our do you need to leave it out because of room for the display?
Yes he put them in after installation. He responded to a other comment
So you have any advice for installing one in the O11 dynamic eco not the XL
nope, but you could be the first one to do it
Seen this mod before and you did it better! What monitor did you use?
Basically you may use any forms of 13.3 or 14 inch portable monitors for this casing. I got mine from the below link in my region.
www.lazada.com.my/products/i611114029-s3248726425.html?urlFlag=true&mp=1&spm=spm%3Da2o4k.order_details.item_title.1
How did you mount the monitor with the double sided tape?
@@ethanstearling1903 Used double sided tape on the size bezels of the monitor against the casing so secure a good fitting position so that it doesn't move around
