Hey , there’s a store where I live called memory express that’s where I bought the parts. As for how I chose the parts I watched videos and I also got a computer friend that suggested which one I should get.
Looks good. That said, I’d use half that amount (or less) of thermal paste on the CPU. It spreads very thin after a cooler is installed and the squeeze-out excess makes a mess.
"too much paste" has been debunked time after time. the amount you used is ABSOLUTELY FINE. "Jayztwocents" and "Linustechtips" and many others have proven this is (although well intentioned) completely inaccurate. "Gamers Nexus" recently even did a video where they specifically used way too much and ran tests and compared thermals and benchmarks with different amounts and different paste spreading methods--unless you are using a CONDUCTING thermal paste, it's extremely difficult to use too much (even if it DOES squeeze out, as shown in many tests).

it's not. the amount is ABSOLUTELY FINE. please watch "Gamers Nexus" recent video that debunks "too much paste" completely. unless you are using CONDUCTING paste, this comment is completely inaccurate.
@@evilchipmunk4090 I don't care what Gamer Nexus say's. That was way to much paste. All the paste is for, is to seal any Microscopic scratches on the cpu and cooler block. In other words, to seal up any tiny air pockets. Nothing more, nothing less. I can guarantee anyone who put's that much T paste during a build, will have a nasty pile of excess paste around the sides of the cpu socket, once it's secured, making it messy, and also possible it traps heat, rather than dissipates it. To the rest of her build though, she did a good job, and it's always nice to use something you built yourself, something to take pride in.
@@UK_Cobra she absolutely did not use too much; the amount is completely fine. you have been PROVEN wrong, time and time again. your guarantee is as meaningless as it is incorrect. I am well aware of what paste is for, but thank you for mansplaining it to everyone, anyway. it is possible to use TOO LITTLE paste. it is also possible to use too much CONDUCTING paste, which could damage your system. if you are not using conducting paste, however, heat absolutely is NOT "trapped". we have known this for YEARS, when "Linus Tech Tips" was among the first to experimentally prove it. since then, it has been verified by such streamers as "JayzTwoCents" and "Gamers Nexus" and others. below are links to a related article, after a link to a video experiment of several different methods of paste application, with amounts varying from "pea" and "grain of rice" to "way too much", including benchmarks and thermal measurements for each. if you reply again with anything other than an apology to the builder, I will understand that you were too proud to watch the full 21 minute video (let alone read the article below it). facts do not care if you have opinions about them... ua-cam.com/video/EUWVVTY63hc/v-deo.html www.gamersnexus.net/guides/3346-thermal-paste-application-benchmark-too-much-thermal-paste
@@evilchipmunk4090 Let me 'Mansplain again' sigh, I think i know the sort of person I'm dealing with here. From your own video posted ... ua-cam.com/video/EUWVVTY63hc/v-deo.html&ab_channel=GamersNexus 4 Minutes 48 seconds into your video, listen all the way to 5 minutes 43 seconds, he basically had you typing all that nonsense for nothing. Just because he has done tests to prove it makes no difference to heat, does not make it right, it's like me asking if you want a glass of water, and bringing a barrel, it is to much, yes? Since when do you need a big blob of paste to fill in very tiny, yes, tiny means so tiny, you can't see or feel it, impurities on a 1 inch square area (again, a CPU is small, not a wall that needs wall papering (mansplaining for you). Oh, I love mansplaining. Not to mention the fact, if she swaps out the CPU or cooler in the future, to much paste makes it damn hard to remove the cooler, and then clean the gunge that ultimately leaks down the sides, (which ultimately, given time will start to insulate the heat), making a mess. I've been building Computers since before that fine fellow was born. If you wish to use a full tube of paste, by all means be my guest, some people are to arrogant to learn, meaning you, not the poster of this video.
@@evilchipmunk4090 To directly quote GamerNexus, because I doubt you will look up your own source material. "And all it need's to do is fill those gaps. Having more thermal paste is not better, it's actually worse, because you have more of an interface to get through." "So you want to have as little thermal paste as possible, between those gaps, to make sure there is no air pockets, between the cold plate and the IHS" (CPU and cooler to you). Simple physics here, and what he and myself are trying to explain to you, hot air expands, during that expansion, it pushes more paste out the way, creating a bigger air pocket. Hopefully you learnt something at school, rather than being taught to say 'Mansplain' If not, you've learnt it now. Mission accomplished. That is basically, what I said in my original post, almost word for word. I await the apology, as you like receiving them, but not this time, time to give. I love it when your own source material proves you wrong. I'll add a little more info, to dispel 'UP TO' a point his temperature (which you seem to religiously point out to me), checks at the end. Thermal paste really needs a week or so of full CPU load, turning off occasionally, so it goes back to room temperature, to set correctly, it's the heat that does this, so those tests are a little mute, as he tests right after adding the paste, and for a short time only. My source for you, regarding the above points, link below, because I'm sure you'll think I'm making it up. www.arcticsilver.com/as5.htm Read down the bottom, part marked Important Reminder. Straight from the horses mouth. If to much paste is used, this will probably have a negative impact, and the temperatures 'CAN' raise over time. I would love for you one day, if your competent enough to upgrade a computer, to try removing a cooler from a CPU that has been plastered with thermal paste, trust me, it is hard, it's also annoyingly and unnecessarily messy around the socket. Also how the paste is applied is important to, but rather than 'Mansplain' You might want to watch this video, as physics is probably not your strong point. ua-cam.com/video/wn2ln04dquM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TechIlliterate To finish off and quote yourself "facts do not care if you have opinions about them..." @@UK_Cobra she absolutely did not use too much; the amount is completely fine. you have been PROVEN wrong, time and time again. your guarantee is as meaningless as it is incorrect.

@@evilchipmunk4090 Let me 'Mansplain again' sigh, I think i know the sort of person I'm dealing with here.
From your own video posted ...

4 Minutes 48 seconds into your video, listen all the way to 5 minutes 43 seconds, he basically had you typing all that nonsense for nothing.
Having more thermal paste is not better, it's actually worse, because you have more of an interface to get through."
"So you want to have as little thermal paste as possible, between those gaps, to make sure there is no air pockets, between the cold plate and the IHS" (CPU and cooler to you).

Read down the bottom, part marked Important Reminder.

Goodbye.
You did such a GREAT job!!!!!
Thanks so much 😊
love the edits
thanks for watching 😁
It's funny to watch your video < 3
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 😊
Wow what a beast !!!!!! Ciao Amsterdam The Netherland Holland
Maybe too much time after uploading but… You’re not supposed to put ur MB on that „bag” cause if u touch that bag u are getting „deelyctralized” and bag get elyctralized. So if u do ur mb can say good bye
It’s an anti static bag it’s fine
Did you watch any video(s) to help you build this pc? Also, how did you know what parts to get and which ones you wanted? Thanks :]
I watched alot of LinusTechTip videos and I got part recommendations from my friends. Thanks for watching!
can you give the name of the model of power cables for the video card?
