heyy nice vid! can i install the new aio Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280 to this case?
The AIO tube orientation is a bit odd. Not sure if it impacts performance at all
Yea its upside down. I wonder if it wouldn't fit the other way 🤔
Do you mean by tube at the bottom? If so, that's actually the preferred orientation comparing to tubes on the top if I stick with this vertical AIO placement.
@@miraculousgaming8200 jay2cents summarizes the optimal AIO placement really well in this video ua-cam.com/video/DKwA7ygTJn0/v-deo.html
@@acez3186 at 13:02 in that video doesnt he basically say it'll kill the aio though?
@@distortjapan so the basic idea is to never let the pump (round part, in my video it's the one with LCD screen) to be the highest point of the entire AIO. In the time stamp you've pointed out, the radiator is beneath the pump, which is problematic.
However in my case, my radiator is placed vertically, and the top of the radiator is still above the pump.
14:07 is talking about the best placement (I can't do it since mine is 280mm not 360mm). 14:38 he busted the myth.
If I was you I'd turn around the fans on the AIO to have more intake than exhaust fans. I believe it keeps more dust out and also is better for temps but correct me if I'm wrong I'm not exactly the most educated person on airflow lol
EDIT: overall tho I will say very gorgeous build I just ordered the same case yesterday and am excited to put my PC together this weekends
Yes it is something in my mind if I do bother opening my pc case. I'm no expert in airflow design either but I do hear that negative air pressure is better for cooling but gets dust easier. I left my AIO fans in this way just for aesthetics reasons.
Also good luck with building your new pc, yes it would be gorgeous once you turn it on!
3:12 hmm, interesting. front and back of radiator to pull air out and then push it out, interesting.
Do you think it's not a good idea? I was thinking of intake from the bottom, and exhaust through radiator and top
consider ASRock B660M-ITX/eDP
What's your reason for the motherboard choice? I sticked with my old motherboard from previous PC build and am still using AMD chips. I agree an ITX mobo would prob look better in here.
@@acez3186 it has eDP header on-board which makes your PC looks neat when install 2nd monitor inside the PC case ^__^
@@DarrenLinkinPark I will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hi! I'm trying to fit the Arzopa 14 inch into my Lian Li currently but the cables at the top cannot fit. Could you link me what cables/90 degree cables you used?
Hi, I believe I purchased this from UGREEN www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PLYZ7J3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. I think it was a little bit struggle and I found a tiny sweet spot to route the cable with a bit of push.
@@acez3186Thank you! What about the HDMI cables?
@@cloateyp.4290 I ordered this one www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BWJLXXR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did you use right angle hdmi?
Yes, for the mini-HDMI port on the portable monitor.
Are the fans you used for the radiator smaller than the stock NZXT fans that come with the AIO pump?
Its a bit of a pain in the ass to find adapters but HDMI can be converted to SATA, same with power off the 5V rail So you could avoid running a external cables and taking up a display slot on the GPU entirely.
Hello thanks for posting this just wondering if you have the dimensions for the thickness of the monitor. As I have a 360mm aio on the top and believe I won’t have enough clearance to do this 😢
shadow of a cat keeps passing by lol
My cat was really curious of the whole PC building procedure haha
So cute
So beautiful 👏🏾
Thank you!!
nice build homie i loved it so much but i have question what's the point of the nzxt fans ? doesn't matter at all ? and have you try to benchmark without it : )
Since Ryzen 5800X is a hot chip I figured that I could slap those two fans on the back side to help more on cooling. However recently I've been thinking that it might create negative pressure in the case and would lead to dust problem over the time, so I'm debating whether I want to keep them or not in the future. But no I did not try to benchmark without those two fans.
Amazing build buddy. This has definitely inspired me to build my next pc just like this. But tell me and be honest. WAS IT A PAIN THE A** to build 😅
Thank you and I hope you can build your wonderful PC soon!
Honestly I won't say it's annoying to build it at all. The wire management isn't bad comparing to building an ITX. The only pain I had was to find a proper filler to support the portable monitor at a good height :p
@@acez3186 hello, you mean that there is a kind of "pedestal" below the monitor?
@@tux7772 ah yes thank you that's the better word to phrase it
@@acez3186 Haha cool I didn't really know what to call it. And I want to ask you plz, do you think it is possible to connect a mini HDMI right angle 90°?
@@tux7772 Yes, I purchased this mini HDMI to HDMI 90 degree cable here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BWJLXXR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
It was a bit of struggle to keep the monitor in place as the cable still hits the top of the case and pushes the monitor down a bit.
Bro how did you fit the cables to the screen, mini hdmi and usb c won't fit to the upper case part 😂, I need 90° adapter
both my usb c cable to power the monitor and the hdmi are 90 degrees, though the hdmi cable is still a bit too long than my likings and I had to push the cable for a bit.
@@acez3186 I've rotated the screen, cables to the down and on the right side cable hole under AIO, I think it's gives more flexibility to the screen centering
@@JacobTheCreator888 glad to know it's working out now! I had my cables pointing up and I found some random plastic pieces to hold the monitor from bottom

Hello
Do they have a touch monitor for the Lian Li LI PC-O11 Dynamic EVO Full Tower????
I'm not too familiar with the size of EVO but i have found this reddit thread www.reddit.com/r/lianli/comments/si6u04/lian_li_evo_front_monitor_mod_has_anyone_done_one/. It seems that 15.6" might be your best bet.
let make a mini pc with a second screen that is touch screen that supports obily tile metro shortcuts that should support win 11 meaning a new exe created for custom shortcut that remembers exe config location but win 8 style shortcuts.
that feels like what stream deck can do tbh
They need to make a double sided screen
Very nice!
Does it automatically turn off with computer? or do you have to manually shut the monitor off?
The display turns off automatically when I power off the computer, and same when computer goes to sleep. I can't say for sure whether it's "off off" since it's powered by mobo's USB-C port, which could still have power when pc is shut off.
By any chance do you think 15.6” will fit? On the front panel
15.6" won't fit for this case for sure. You might have the luck using the O11 Dynamic XL case.
www.reddit.com/r/lianli/comments/q9uxw7/lian_li_o11_dynamic_xl_2x_lcd_screens_mod_part_2/
Your PC is very attractive.
You have good taste. And the cat is wonderful !!
Thank you so much! I will tell my cat about your compliment :D
do i have to connect it to my gpu? i don’t have any more space for it
I connect it to my GPU as my CPU does not have a built-in graphics output, but if you use Intel CPU you may be able to use its display output.
I just installed the same screen in my 011D mini. I can't get my PC to detect it, although if I can connect to an Xbox it works fine.
I tried with my desktop and laptop. Both are running Windows 11 and did not detect the display.
Hi, do you have the screen connected over USB-C as power source, and also HDMI cable to graphics card for display?
@acez3186 Yes, I have the monitor powered via USB C 25W adapter. Then, the monitor is connected using mini HDMI to HDMI to my desktop graphic card.
The screen turns on and says "no signal" then "power saving mode". When it first turns on the PC will make a noise like the display was detected, but it does not actually.
@acez3186 Are you running windows 11?
None of my Windows 11 machines work with the monitor but, my xbox works with it fine.
Also, my graphics card is gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB
@@EagleEye746 Yeah I'm running Windows 11 now and it has been fine. Do you have Nvidia graphics card?
@acez3186 Yes, I have Nvidia RTX 3080. My main monitor is connected via display port and the Azropa connected mini HDMI to HDMI, I used the same cable you are using.
ehm CPU cooler with hoses in the bottom it's very bad performance for pump and liquid cooling.. 😒
We back to this topic again. jay2cents summarizes the optimal AIO placement really well in this video ua-cam.com/video/DKwA7ygTJn0/v-deo.html. In short, I think my approach is the best if I cannot mount the radiator on top.
@acez3186 correct! Why do people try to correct when they are wrong lol
How did you get the 280 rad to fit with the font monitor installed?
It’s a bit tight in space I’d say. I pushed the radiator as close to the far side as possible (restricted by the screws), but you can probably just tape it if you want to push further. For my case I was able to slide the monitor inward but not completely due to part of the radiator blocking the bezel, but it looks decent enough so I’m fine with leaving it as it is for now.
Two questions, 1. What wallpaper engine are you using? 2. What I'm not understanding is how you mounted the radiator? With the screen there how are you able to screw in the side closest to the screen?
1. It's the regular Steam version wallpaper engine but set the second monitor to be vertical.
2. I screwed the radiator on the back and tried my best to push it as far as possible before screwing it down.
Nice and beutiful build. Dammmm
Thank youuu xD
Really good looking build!! I want to make a build just like this one. What aio is that?
Thank you! It's NZXT Z63
Hi! I am having trouble slotting the monitor as the 280mm radiator and fans was getting in the way. Looking at your video, it seems that the rad was not screwed to the case frame?
The radiator was screwed to the case frame. I mounted the screws from the back side of the case (where you do all the wire management) and pushed the radiator as far as possible to the motherboard side so that I can have clearance for the monitor.
ua-cam.com/video/9AJmPoqFfxs/v-deo.html at 3 min is where I locked the radiator with the rear fans.
@@acez3186 Thanks! let me try!
Hello Nice build
Just for ask, so you don't screw the 3 fan on the bottom and the 2 of the AIO to the case to put the screen ? Thanks
I still screw the bottom fans and AIO fans as usual. Just need to push fans or AIO to the side a bit more.
Love the build man. So I tried to copy it. Same case, same monitor, but I have a gap and can see inside the case. can’t push the monitor up higher due to the cables. I even got the 90° ones you listed.
Do you mean by there's a gap between the monitor and side panel, maybe on the top? I believe I had similar issue when I first mounted it and I basically just bent the cable as much as possible and find a proper holder to support the monitor to keep it in place, otherwise it would fall down and leave a gap.
Very inspiring. I love the front display but does it need to be the same resolution as your real monitor?
Great job. Looks stunning
Thank you! I don't have to match the screen resolution (main screen 2k + this portable screen 1080p).
hello, do you have to change the luninosity of the screen at each start?
If you are referring to the brightness of the portable monitor, no I do not need to change anything for each boot. My wallpaper engine software will display the playlist I set properly each time.
Hello there! bought an Azropa 15,6 for the same mod, but when i plug the type c and the mini hdmi it says no signal. what should i do?
Where did you connect the type c and mini hdmi to? Type C is for charging so any usb c port on the motherboard rear end should be fine. I use Ryzen CPU therefore I have to rely on my GPU for video output, thus I connect the mini HDMI - HDMI cable to the graphics card.
@@acez3186 type c goes to my mobo (asus rog x570) and hdmi to gpu ( evga 3090)
@@giwrgoseuaggelou725 That seems correct to me. Have you sorted it out yet? Maybe do a sanity check first that the monitor is working properly by connecting a different source to it (e.g. Nintendo Switch)
@@acez3186 manages to fix it out. What worked for me: unplugged all the monitors and booted the ox with the portable monitor only, that made it work and then I plugged every monitor I had and all working now!
@@giwrgoseuaggelou725 that's quite odd that you needed to get it working like this but glad you got it figured out!
Why don’t you have rear fan
I figured that it might be a overkill to add another exhaust fan, and I like the look without it more.
@@acez3186 Your fan config is pretty bad
@@ultramasterultra5724 How so? Because it's negative pressure?
@@acez3186 Yes
@@ultramasterultra5724 Negative pressure isn't necessarily bad and I haven't seen dust problem tbh. But if I feel like the problem gets worse then I can just add the rear fan.
What are the temps like under load on ur cpu and gpu with this setup?
With AIDA64 stress testing I got around 74C for CPU. Generally for GPU after playing Apex for a while I think it's on the level of 50-60C for GPU. I do run a fan curve favoring quietness over performance.
@@acez3186 thanks for the reply! Good info since I'm planning on doing a similar build.
@@spoodbeest1773 good luck with your build! It will be gorgeous once it’s done. 5800X is a very hot chip tho
hey nice build, but i have one question. do you think a 15.6-inch panel would fit in that case? im thinking about building a new pc just like this.
I don't think 15.6" portable monitor can fit in here but probably fits for O11 Dynamic XL. I found a reddit post here www.reddit.com/r/lianli/comments/q9uxw7/lian_li_o11_dynamic_xl_2x_lcd_screens_mod_part_2/
Are you able to do this with a 280mm radiator?
Yes I have the NZXT 280mm Z63 mounted vertically next to the mobo
Your AIO orientation would eventually kill the pump
No I’m pretty sure that’s the preferred orientation if I mount vertically. Jay2Cents explains the AIO direction pretty well here ua-cam.com/video/DKwA7ygTJn0/v-deo.html
Yes i watched again and u are right. Nice build
what wallpaper software do you use and where do you get your portrait videos for the wallpaper?
It's called "Wallpaper Engine" on Steam and you can find many static picture or videos for wallpaper, then I basically just rotate those from the settings.
