Desmond Doss always makes me tear up a little bit. Dude was a literal walking saint, he saved so many people its almost unbelievable. He died only 15 years ago.
It is often said that if God is real he is with that man on that moment
true. When I saw the movie I felt like 'wow only a movie could make up such exagerated stuff. like come on, at least make it somewhat believable'.
then I learned its based on a true story...
War brings out the best and worst in humanity! The men on here deserve all of our respect!
The movie about him should’ve received an oscar
Fun fact: these soldiers never took any super soldier serums
😂
Well that’s debatable given in a lot of those years those “medicines” they were taking were hard drugs

N°1: Rosario Randazzo. An Italian soldier in WWII, a gunner that had his right arm ripped off from the shoulder by a mortar shrapnel, but he still continued to shoot his machinegun keeping it with the left hand and firing it using his teeths.
I'm so glad someone knows Rosario randazzo's story even in Italy it's pretty unknown but he was the bravest of all
Many more around the world but they only put the people serving British and US army. Guess that's as much research they were willing to make to title the video "the best in history". But I'm not too surprised
That's metal lol
the french ww1 soldier Adrian Carton de Wart lost one hand and one eye and survived a plane crash and an pow camp, injured 6 times and still kept fighting

I think the most shocking twist is how Adrian Carton De Wiart's eye regenerated.
"Mad Jack" Churchill killed a German sergeant with that English longbow, which is possibly the last time that happened in the history of modern battlefields. I try to imagine what the poor man might have thought if he looked down to see an arrow sticking out of him before he died.
@Rusto A) It's questionable if a man with a rank equivalent to sergeant had to be a National Socialist, and thus B) if that man was; either way C) most soldiers in the heat of battle (so a Marine D.I. of my acquaintance once told me) just want *to go home,* and D) (the clincher) as I have said before this-- not just of soldiers (most of whom are not exactly murdering anyone) but of actual murderers who had terrible life experiencess--* "it's a lot easier and harmless to feel a little sorry for them once they're dead."*
(That's one thing the death penalty can have going for it: it can restore a measure of humane empathy. But that's an entire other conversation.)
The most amazing soldier of all time: the creator of the soulja console. Soldier Boy.

Johann Kasten fought in the US army. He was taken prisoner during the battle of the bulge and was sent to a prisoner of war camp. Due to his leadership he was dubbed the "man of confidence." Even though he was a private he took charge and became the leader of his vast group of prisoners. While at the POW camp he was interrogated and tortured because he would not give up the Jewish prisoners amongst the group. He and a number of other prisoners the nazis deemed to be Jewish were transferred to a concentration camp where Kasten and two other companions made their escape. Johann Kasten, a German American survived the war and is buried in Arlington Cemetery. His story is immortalized in "Operation Swallow." By Mark Felton. It is a relatively quick read and you won't be able to put it down. Thank me later.

You should look into the MEDEVAC crew that a friend of mine served with. He stayed behind in Afghanistan to support another units' MEDEVAC deployment and as a result of the heroism of him and his flight crew, he and seven other Americans became the first foreigners in history to be awarded the German Gold Cross.
Antonio Gattis. The man is a genuine war hero...

Hello, nice educational video!!! May I suggest another challenge where the challenge guy must be mean to everyone he encounters for a week!!! I hope you get to read this!
Why isn’t simo häyhä on the list?
Or Billy Bishop or Leo Major
Cause he wasn't American these people haven't included any of the other countries. There were so many brave soldiers in other countries. Capt shangara singh man who killed 50 and injured three dozen soldiers despite being wounded in both legs. Also where are the soldiers of countries like sri lanka, Indonesia ,india, Israel and Russia. They are much braver anyday
@@aeroaero5472 you can't forget Leo Major he saved the entire town of Zmole by himself against 100-200 nazis in that town. He was canadian. Then you have billy bishop one of the only pilots to go up agaisnt the red baron and survive and the only pilot to have a dogfight with the red baron 3 times. He is also or should be considered the best pilot as he got 75 kills while the red baron had 78 but billy acquired 3/4 of his kills in the first 2 years of war while it took the red baron 4 years to get all 2/4 of his kills. Billy also had been considered to have the luck of the devil as he crashed 16 times and survived all of them.
@@your_local_jaxon675 yah that's what I mean like we are talking about the world here not just America right.
@@your_local_jaxon675
The story about Leo Major is most likely extremely exaggerated.
If you look at Dutch sources it sounds more like he and his friend were involved in a firefight with a handful of German soldiers outside of the town, his friend and probably two German soldiers died.
The remaining German soldiers escaped in a vehicle.
He then continued the reconnaissance mission into the town where he walked around in the streets until he met with some Dutch resistance members.
The German troops had already retreated from the town.
He then returned to his unit to inform them that the town was abandoned. He thus saved the town from a possible artillery attack, but there was no huge fight in the town.
10 MILLION 👍👍

There is no asian soldiers aswell.

leo major already has a complete video
Thats only americans almost
I salute you Roy benavidez even though this clown didn't mention you the most badass soldier that ever lived
About time doss got some recognition since hacksaw ridge
Can you please make a video on MACV-SOG? They were a illegal highly classified, U.S. special forces unit that did secret missions during the Vietnam War
SOG wasn't a illegal unit, it was classified and received orders only from the joint chiefs of staff. It composed of green berets, navy seals, force recon marines and air force air commandos. And existed from 1964 until 1972.
Please do a second list to include Roy Benavidez, J "Mac" MacKenzie, both USA and the White Death Simo Hewhah (so) (I don't have the right characters to spell it correctly or I would look it up)
Dakota Meyer has a great conversation with Joe Rogan on UA-cam.

Kinda biased that all of them were American, if you’re going to title it greatest soldiers in History I would’ve had Alexander the Great & like Otto skorenzy on it too
Same as Leo Major and Billy Bishop
The very first guy he talks about is british. What u talking bout.
The second guy is hungarian, his parents died in his home country, he was liberated by the US and joined the military out of gratitude...... Did u watch the video? I'm 90 seconds in. Lol
@@jerryanderson6599 Yeah I did 8 were Americans and 2 were British & it’s called “Most amazing soldiers in history” you can’t tell me it’s not biased
Maybe slightly coming from, I assume an american youtube channel. But America has also been fighting a lot more compared to other countries around the world in the last 50 years. That's what they do lol. Can't even compare the size of the US military to anyone else in the world. 80 percent of United Nations forces are American. So that's also biased lol.

Deborah Sampson needs a movie...American Mulan!
So does Billy Bishop or Leo Major but you don't see these hero's that need recognition getting recognized or talked about.
To be fair her story doesn’t seem to be that extraordinary, there are basically dozens if not hundreds of other women who disguised themselves as men to fight in wars.
Just for example Friederike Krüger joined the Prussian Army as August Lübeck to fight against Napoleon, when it was discovered that she’s a woman the Prussian King allowed her to remain in the army under her real name as apparently she had always been brave.
Thus she continued to fight in various battles, was wounded in 1813 and after recovering continued to fight until Napoleon was finally defeated in 1815.
She was awarded the Iron Cross II. class for bravery and promoted several times.
Um, this is not a new video or if it is it's new to this channel as I've seen the exact same video before on another channel?

I was really hoping to see Anibal Milhais better known as Soldier Millions, in WW1 fought the Germans for 3 days with his mounted machine gun allowing Portuguese and Scottish soldiers to retreat, when he ran out of ammo he retreated and on the way helped a Scottish medic back to allied lines. A few months later he held another German attack with only his rifle for 1 day allowing belgian soldiers to retreat.
