Fun facts :- 1. During the peace conference in tashkent USSR the Indian prime minister died mysteriously . 2. during this time, the Indian Prime Minister from tashkent , USSR signed the documents of permission for beginning of nuclear programme of India . Subsequently, India will move nuclear bombs, but will never test them until much later . 3. During this time, the CIA got its biggest most important lead on the Indian nuclear project by hearing the conversations between the Indian prime minister and the people sitting at Indian nuclear ☢️ facility , which later compelled them to kill the head of Indian nuclear department Sir Homi Daba by bombing his plane . 4. The 3rd point’s legitimacy can be checked by the book, written by CIA head of Asian division where he wrote in his book of how CIA was involved in the murder of Indian scientist .
I would dispute the fact that Pakistan and this war was the reasoning behind the push for the bomb. In 65 and 71, China has threatened India with use of nukes if we didnt withdraw. It was this threat that spurred the development of nuclear weapons in India.
India dint invade Pakistan after Gibraltar. In fact after the failure of Gibraltar Pakistan lauched full scale attack to cut off kashmir...in response India opened the sialkot and lahore fronts.
Operation grand slam would be successful. My father told me that General Akhtar Hussain Malik was about to take Srinagar. But Ayub Khan replaced him with his favourite Yahya Khan. My granfather was in the Assam Regiment of the Indian Army, joined in 69 and fought the war in 71..i am not so sure where he was exaclty but he was either in Gujarat,Punjab or Rajasthan..somewhere on the Western Front in 71..he talked of how they captured few towns and forts and were so close to Lahore..how he often saw Pakistani jets flew into India..i really should ask him more information about the war..
Pretty good and unbiased video I like it specifically the animation.
Indian Lt Gen Harbakhsh Singh’s book on 1965 war quotes the following:
"On September 6, XI Corps launched a surprise attack at 4am, led to the crossing of the Ichhogil canal and the capture of the Bata shoe factory on the outskirts of Lahore by 11am. But the senior commanders could not cope with the situation and ordered a withdrawal to the east bank of the canal [BRB Canal] by that evening".
Congress Leader Capt Amarinder Singh: “India almost lost Amritsar in 1965 war”
Fifty years after the 1965 Indo-Pak war, deputy leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, Captain Amarinder Singh, has shed new light on an order allegedly given by the then Army Chief to withdraw Indian Army troops in Punjab, which could have led to the surrender of Amritsar.

Yahya Khan surrendered Poonch and transferred to Rahimyar khan where he also surrendered 20,000 Paxtan soldier 🤣
La hilala billa.
In Line of Duty: A Soldier Remembers, according to Zia Sensations, the editor of Dawn, Lt Gen Ayub Khan reveals that not only "did Gen Khan play a very important role in the entire surrender at poonch, he was so nervous as to be on the verge of losing half of Punjab to India, including the city of Rahimyar Khan. Khan describes, in clinical detail, how our own offensive in the Lahore sector had come unhinged. The general commanding the division on Ichchogil canal fled in panic, leaving his jeep, its wireless running and the briefcase containing sensitive documents that were then routinely read on Radio India during the war and Pakistan surrendered 20000 soldiers after that. Ayub Khan wanted to court martial him, Yahya Khan let him get away with resignation.

It’s Indian liberation of Goa, not Indian invasion of Goa
Can India invade deodorant too?
Nice video. I really like it ❤
Indian Liberation* of Goa. Driving out colonial imperialists from ones own land is not an invasion
Liberation from another country still means invasion, you just invaded back to get back your land, the allies storming Normandy to capture the French back from the Germans is also an invasion but it was justified

@SpiritualSeeker-oq5pt you know truth is bitter
@SpiritualSeeker-oq5pt Pakistan won 2 wars
@SpiritualSeeker-oq5pt By defending punjab and occupying various areas of india
@SpiritualSeeker-oq5pt Haha kid good try but in 1948 we occupied 1/3 kashmir from 'you' as the maharaja gave it to you and in 1965 even your own general in a book named war dispatches accepted that india failed to conquer any part of thier punjab province
Pakistan is lucky to have honest and selfless military people who love the country. They have safely invested Pakistani money in Papa John's pizza franchise and real estate in London, Canada, and Dubai. They have also bought an island near Australia. These investments have made sure that Pakistani people don't waste their money on luxury items such as wheat flour, vegetables, electricity, clothing, and education.

Pakistanis definitely do not wear the fez.
"Indian invasion of Goa" , Goa was a part of India Portuguese were illegally occupying it taking it back is not an invasion for eg A person occupied a room in your house kicking him out and retaking the room would not be called an Invasion
A 3rd world country attacking a European nation. Of course the media and everyone would call it an invasion, even if its morally right. Rich people liberate and free, but poor people invade and occupy
You mean what Hamas is doing to Israel ?
It doesn't matter if it was illegally occupied or was part of India it's still an invasion in a civil war two sides invade eachother regions which support them even when they aren't split into two countries and in this case it was a colonial power refusing to give up it's colony to what now should've been the rightful owner of the territory it's an invasion and (it was not part India at the time since Portugal occupied it for over 400 years before the Indian state and took it from a sultanate in the region which means it can't be liberation since they aren't making Goa into a new country they want to annex it)
@@beatricemuvengwi are u dumb somehow goa was part of BHARAT and it came under the maratha rule which then later became india between the time of marathas and colonial india becoming india the portugese occupied it so yeah goa was a part of india they simply made it a colony and we took back what was ours rightfully and hence it wouldnt be called an invasion

@TheArmchairHistorian this is a great video. Waiting for a video on the 1971 Indo-Pak War as well.
I could be wrong here but didn't Hari Singh accede to India only after Pakistani forces had entered Kashmir? (with reference to 1:44)
Yep. India was waiting for his decision, and once PAK invaded; he wanted to join India. 😢
@@magnisky Hari Singh was a puppet dictator controlled by British India. Kashmiris wanted independence from the empire, just like Punjab, Bengal, Sindh and KPK also wanted freedom too.

YES MY FAVOURITE HISTORY YT COVERED A WAR RELATING TO MY COUNTRY!
The 1965 war may have been useless for both India and Pakistan since they were still back to square 1 with no side gaining anything but I see it as a win for Bangladesh. It was the Bengali troops of the famous East Bengal Regiment that saved Pakistan in Lahore and Sialkot which led General Yahya Khan the army chief of Pakistan increase the number of battalions in that regiment. These additional troops were vital to build up the Bangladesh Forces during the Liberation war of 1971.
US flag at about the 3:35 mark has 48 stars. If the video is about the war in the 1960's, the flag should have 50 stars.
It actually has 40 stars lmao
WTF 😒
Well, Tanks are bought by Paxtan before 1960s ofc
Pretty common for animated depictions of the flag to not have all 50 stars
Did you really count them? Lmao😂

In Battle of BRB Canal, there was a company of Pakistani Soldiers (100 men) vs Two Brigades of Indian Army (10,000 men). Out- numbered Pakistani soldiers forced Indian army to engage in hand-to-hand combat and battle continued for 5 Days after which Indian Army retreated back to Amritsar and their dreams of conquering Lahore were shattered.
Indian Army got clapped so hard that they had to pull out of Lahore and when Pakistani Army Reinforcements started pushing, Indian General ordered to retreat/leave Amritsar, even Indian General was scared.
Then what were we doing in lahore district police station ?..😂😂
@@honestpetvideos9307 Lahore district and Lahore city are entirely different things. Indian army barely reached the outskirts of Lahore and despite having a massive numerical superiority they were forced to retreat back hastily.
@@honestpetvideos9307 On September 6, Indian XI Corps launched a surprise attack at 4am which led to the crossing of the lchhogil canal and the capture of the Bata shoe factory on the outskirts of Lahore by 11 am. @@tipus737 since the only objective was to relief the aknoor sector.. That was achieved but even your saying is also true that the commndeer lost its nerve at the cannal.. Though at the end of the war the indians were more inside of pakistan than Pakistan was inside indian territory.. But still incompetance should not be over shadowed either from Pakistani or Indian side
@@honestpetvideos9307 of course a bigger army will have a advantage, but you guys were about 5-1 against us and still lost. The only technological advantage we had was in air, as everyone can agree the T-54 and T-55 are one of the most robust and reliable tanks.
