Installed the physics mod a couple days ago and tried it out. Hadn't ran this game in ages. Of course I had to re-do all my controls. Only took me forty eleven hours to get that done. Almost rage un-installed. But it was pretty impressive when I got it running. Thanks for the info!
Funny how this game makes you want to uninstall it when your setting it up...to.....holy crap this is better than I expected when you get the physics mod working. lol
@ I’ve come across your vids searching for settings for my wheel a while back. I’ve now and then watch your videos. Algorithm must be broken. You’re creating quality content. Wish you the best in the future for you dude. I’m supporting from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you much! I actually don't even mess with setups, I just drive the default setup and get used to it. I know i could get it better for different situations but I try to spend all my time driving, otherwise I fear I'd spend more time tuning than anything else. ;)
I love it but i want to see a more modern successor! This game and beam ng are high on my list to potentially be that. Just needs some effort by the community i think to really figure out what makes this game tick. Rbr is great but it's a collection of band aids and workarounds to achieve what we have. Imagine if the same stage developers that made legazpi had tools to make stages in generations...it would be mind-blowing... Beam ng has the most potential of all but someone has to figure out how to set it up as an actual rally experience that feels cohesive and a progression system with a user interface that is geared towards rally. Until that happens it will always feel like a half-assed fragmented mess. A fun one but a mess... lol
I bought this and eawrc both on sale.i had binding issues. But i really really like this game. The throttle but is weird, had it fixed for awhile then after needing to rebound stuff after new device added it's back and can't get rid of it ..,
@mattgrover3096 I haven't had time to test my idea out yet, I've been busy taking care of my chickens, my neice and my wife. Everyone is sick or injured...lol
At the 5:50 climbing hairpin, you switch to cutch and brake just before the apex. Is that an h-shifter no-dogbox habit, or is there an advantage to having the clutch ready at entry?
I'm guessing yes, it's how I would get around a corner with my real cars. I think the modern cars may even disengage everything automatically if you pull the handbrake. But good observation.
@AustenValentine I'm going to have to find my old phone to get the handbrake and shifter in camera. I recall it was very difficult to position the camera to capture everything without looking weird...lol also was hard to squeeze it in the image in general next to the pedal and face cam.
I don't know anything about your setup, but I read somewhere about being able to route a simhub overlay directly to OBS. No idea of how resource intensive that would be.
But if adding simhub into the mix is too much with the pedal cam, maybe one of those throttle-brake telemetry indicators would be more compact. And then you could reuse the pedal camera for the handbrake and shifter.
I am thinking of maybe buying this game on sale just for the modding aspect. What are the weak/strong points of the modding currently? Would you say it’s worth it if there is a decent sale?
It's definitely worth it. The weak points are that the rest of the community is using the standard physics, so you will have to try super hard to compete with online leaderboards and such...
Nice driving my son!
Thank you Papa Douglas! You taught me everything I know...which isn't much but thank you for teaching me how to open the car door!
😆 🤣 Your hilarious bro

@labpong7562 lol I did uninstall it after many controls complications...but my little workaround has been stable luckily
@@labpong7562this game made me go literally insane, but hey at least trying again and again made me end up fixing it, its worth not giving up!
Nice driving, brother!
Thank you brother! We'll have to steal you away from your guitar building for a little bit!
You deserve more subs
Thank you so much. I think the algorithm has shunned me for some reason.

@plaszid1 Thank you much! Yes, the algo hasn't been in my favor for many years. Lol but I'm still fighting!
@plaszid1 i think it's mostly because I don't use rgb lighting in the background of my videos...lol ;)

Great video Doug, can you do a video about car setups.👍

Sound upgrade are very important and some value FF in tarmac..but good way.🤞🤞
Yes the sounds need to be fixed...
good driving! Don't over do it (Your shoulder and now my shoulder also... LOL!)...
Yes i have been doing like 4-7 stages and then calling it, seems to be keeping the really painful pain away.
What do you think about Richard burns rally? What are thing that you like/dislike

You know...that gives me an idea to try. I will update in a video if it solves the throttle issue.
@SleepyPantsSimRacing please tell me you figured something out?

We talked about that gas pedal bug, i tryed turning on rescale on all pedals + handbrake + wheel i think its much better,
No more on/off pedal
Mine feels like that no matter what... :( well not as bad as rescale off of course.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing weird
@vedadtursum6341 ya I'm sad about it but i have more reason to enjoy this game now so I am doing my best to get used to it for the time being. :)

Oh noo!! The snap sound at the end is gone!
We need to find Carmen Sandiego and....that sound!!!
