Many thanks for this. I was installing 13th gen i5 on b660 master ddr4. Needed this. But everyone keep in mind, it will only work if the flash drive is smaller to allow for FAT32 format. If you have a large drive, it will most likely only format exFAT which will cause your system to keep powering down. Hope this saves you time, as I spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong!

Thank you so much for this video! I had been struggling for days to try to get my build to work and was going crazy over trying to find what was wrong. Turns out all I needed to do was flash the BIOS. Again, thank you so much for this guide. A real life saver!
CRAZY !! I used the Bios update from the Gigabyte app Center. Because I'm using a 4K monitor, when it came into the bios, it was all streched, I couldn't do anything. It's when it happened: I restarted my pc, no lights would show. Fans would spin, no RGB anywhere except RAM. I'm using a Aorus z690 Elite DDR5 I looked at this video, I did everything. I didn't disassemble my PC as Julien T mentionned it worked anyway. MAGIC: My computer took about 5 minutes, eventually, the LED indicators on my motherboard started cycling. The RGB everywhere started working again. Computer restarted and my keyboard and mouse started glowing too. HERE IT GETS CRAZY My PC then went into the bios. I was able to XMP to 5600mhz like my RAM is supposed to (Couldn't go above 5200mhz before) All the lights in my machine started syncing up. RAM, GPU, FANS, WATERCOOLER, MOBO. (It wouldn't be the same color before) Everything got fixed for an unfortunate little thing, thanks to this very video. Thank you very much sir.
Sometimes, even The Project Help Desk needs a little help. After picking up this board and a Gen13 processor I thought I was screwed. I have been out of the PC building game for close to seven years, and I had no idea that they now include a way to BIOS flash without having memory or a processor installed. Saved me from having to buy unneeded parts just to get my BIOS upgraded. Thank you.
I don't usually comment, but thank you for this. I was about to return and re-buy some parts after some days of headaches after trying to build a 13600K PC. Such a required thing not being explicitly told by the board manufacturer is a massive L for them.
Thanks for posting this! I just purchased a new Z690 Aorus Pro and it wouldn't post. I went through these steps and I now have a functional machine. One note, I did have to find a USB 2.0 flash drive for this to work though. It did a quick power on / off when I tried to us a 3.0 stick.
I came back to say how much I appreciated your guide. It was straightforward and managed to recover my Z490 Gaming X mobo after a failed update through the terrible @bios software included with the mobo package.
Just remember if it doesn't work it is most likely the USB drive. In my experience 90% of the times it fails that is the reason why. I always use my older USB drives for these.
Obrigado! Atualizei a BIOS da B660M para funcionar um I3 13100F com o processador e um pente de memória e os cabos do gabinete conectados e deu certo, só esperei uns 15min até menos, quando reiniciei já estava funcionando normal!!!
Thank You! It works!!! I have an Z790 Gaming X AX. My Intel 14th generation only worked from bios 8 and above. This was the only way to make it work. Yipieee!! (When updating, my fans started around the middle of the process, but what matters is that it worked)!
Thank you for for saving my life or at least my weekend! My newly assembled PC wouldn't even post due to my 5600ghz RAM not being recognised by the MB. This solved the problem.
Thank you so much for this. I have my motherboard coming in a few months and it has Q flash. Hope it goes as easy as it did for you. I've never assembled a PC before and all my parts are trickling in.
Upon further review, did you update it fresh out of the box with no CPU installed? Why did you need the CPU power cord plugged in if no CPU. Im ready to Q-flash my BIOS later this week fresh out of the box.
@@BetoTheButcher This one we did fresh out of the box. Nothing installed although that makes no difference. Gigabyte says the CPU power needs to be connected. I have never tried without since they say that. I know ASUS does not require it to be connected but others do.
multiple hours trying to fix a non-POST .. reading through dozens of internet pages with contradicting information about Qflash+ ... 1 vid of you and 10 minutes later a POSTING PC \o/ Thx
When I assembled my computer and turned it on, nothing worked. Heres a few steps you might want to read if youre having trouble too: My initial flashing process took around 1.5 minutes for the B660 with driver revision F20, which seemed curious to me. After assembling all together and greedily starting my device, I got disappointed pretty fast. It is definetly possible to Q-flash with the CPU installed. I did that several times, although you gotta decide for yourself if you take the "risk". But to minimize any issues, I unplugged everything else, which is not needed for the flashin process including RAM. Plugged in was only the CPU, the CPU fan, the mainboard and power supply (obvously). After trying another several times with around 1.5 minuted flashing time, I came back to this video and precisely watched every step. I noticed, that my formatting process looked slightly different. The "allocation unit size" for me was set to 4096 instead of 8192 at 1:12. The next run flashing the BIOS took more than 1.5 minutes and looked different. The indicator flashed in different intervals this time during the process, the first 1.5 minutes look identically tho. BIOS loaded up successfully afterwards. I really dont know if this allocation unit size is such of a big deal in this case, it could be possible that just reformatting the USB stick did the trick, but if anyone is struggling aswell, I wanted to share.
Thank you so much... I was renaming the zip file, Gigabyte never mentioned that you have to unzip the file, worked just fine after that I renamed the file inside

dude is the GOAT.... i went through countless instructions and tutorials to troubleshoot how to flash my gigabyte mobo..... watched this vid.. worked the first time. Gigabyte's support sucks ass
Thank you, was really helpful for me because I was trying to boot my pc but didn`t manage to do so until I updated the bios because I was running i9 13900kf CPU. Amazing chip btw.
No such luck for me. Updated it to F20 with this process and I still can't get it to post. Don't see any video and the cpu/dram lights keep alternating still.
Gotta add a thank you for this video! I should add from my experience it was picky on the thumb drive to use. I had an older one under 32 gigs and the mobo didn't like it and wouldn't flash the new bios. Switched to a 32 gig newer thumb drive and it was smooth from there. Bios flashed and the mobo is ready for my new case when it gets here.
Followed these Instructions and now the motherboard won't power on. Oddly during my BIOS update the power supply shut off after only a few minutes but it went from steady flashing to solid led before it shut down. I waited for a few minutes to make sure there was no activity on the USB drive or the motherboard led indicator. Everything in the build is brand new. Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 i5 13600K CPU Corsair 32MB Vengeance 3600Mhz Corsair rm750x PSU I've tried reseating the RAM triple checked all my connections. I've been building PC's since Pentium 4 Extreme days so not my first build. I have a feeling the Mobo is Bricked. EDIT: After this first attempted failed I left the computer completely assembled. I had the CPU, GPU, RAM, and m.2 SSD STILL installed. I grabbed another USB drive and downloaded the BIOS file on it and did the Q Flash + and IT WORKED. PC restarted three times on its own and then it booted up into the BIOS screen. So for anyone thinking they have to have all the components uninstalled before a BIOS update I can confirm that it will still update with everything installed. I subbed to this channel because I think it's good info, so if you have a issue like me and it doesn't work, try a different USB drive!
Especially if it seems to start working and flashing but only last a few seconds. That's almost a guaranteed sign that either the USB Drive is the issue or the wrong file or something was put on the usb.
@@KLEEBZTECH I really appreciate these straight forward videos. I am 100% positive has I had followed these Instructions with thr different USB drive it would've worked before I completed my build. I just wanted to clarify for other users that if it didn't take the BIOS update completely unassembled to try it assembled with a different USB drive. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the community.
Thanks, I finally got Q-Flash Plus working. The problem for me was that my usb drive wasn't formatted as FAT32 with *8kb cluster* size. (Visible around 1:16) I tried FAT16, FAT32 with default cluster size both didn't work. Hopefully I can finally get my pc working again by restoring the old bios, because I was smart enough to make a backup of the working version.
The funny thing is I have tried different cluster sizes and couldn't reliably get it to cause problems. Sometimes 8kb clusters I would still have problems. But I've had no problems doing it other sizes as well. I think it just depends on a lot of different factors. Sometimes even just a reformat works.
@@KLEEBZTECH The thing I'm running into atm is that I cannot update my motherboard bios above F32, while the function that I need is in the F36 update :( Well I've put out a question to the motherboard manufacturer. Hopefully they'll have a solution. (Symptoms after upgrade: all fans etc are powered, but system does not enter POST sequence. No video output or anything else. Using the Q-Flash plus feature to downgrade to F31/F32 makes the pc usable again, so I can still use it for most applications, except for 1 which requires `Secure Boot`.
Yes it will usually take a little time to finish. Why I recommend waiting for a few minutes once it seems done to be sure. Honestly when I do mine once I see that it is flashing I walk away for a while.
@@KLEEBZTECH as it was my first time ever doing something like that I was anxiously waiting the entire time and already afraid something broke when my PSU kept running. Nevertheless everything is in perfect working order. Hughe appreciation for you video. 🙌
Excellent information! Just received my Z690 MB so went through the bios update process and all I got was the power light for a short while? Decided that the bios could already be 'the latest'? Will be assembling the system shortly so fingers crossed!
just a word of caution when doing this. I was updating my own bios using this method. It just would not start the flash process. The Qflash LED would not show it was doing the process. I was 100% sure i had done nothing wrong. The issue was caused by the motherboard not liking the actual usb pen drive. I had to use good quality Kingston data traveler drive same files copied to it and it worked first time... So if you are having similar issues try this before doubting your file renaming and copying process.
@@KLEEBZTECH yes all thanks to you. I was trying to get windows 11 on my pc but I had to turn on some things in bios so I watched a sketchy vid that led me to my problem. Still trying to figure out how to get windows 11 tho 😂
This is my first time updating BIOS. I've been told to do this because of random reboots problem. I followed your instruction updating BIOS of my b560m Aorus elite from F7 to F8. The only difference was I kept all the peripherals intact including ram and CPU. At first, the q-flash led blinking but PSU didn't turn on for about a minute (I'm using 400w digital alliance PSU). Then suddenly the system turned on as if I pressed the power button. All the fans spin in unusually high RPM. The q-flash LED kept blinking. After about 5-10 minutes (which felt like forever to me), the blinking stopped and the PC tried to boot but failed with continues short beeps and no signal on the monitor. It then tried to reboot but repeatedly doing the same thing like a boot loop (at this moment I almost cried). I then held the power button to turn it off and thought that I finally bricked my motherboard. I then tried to boot the PC once again with only 1 stick of RAM. After several beeps and reboots, it magically boots to windows. Upon opened SIV, it recalibrated all the fans and shows the updated BIOS version which is F8. In the end I was successful, but it was an intense and heart-pounding experience. Thank you
Reading that was pretty intense as well. Lol. But glad to hear it ended up working. Every once in awhile I run into an oddity like that. But not very often.
@@KLEEBZTECH I was curious about something though. After the q-flash button pressed, what will happen if : 1) The USB drive not recognized due to false formatting, compatibility issue, or improper plug in? 2) misnaming the BIOS (bin) file Will the BIOS revert back or it simply kills itself? Thanks
Thanks! I had a problem where I just got a flashing red light and bios wouldn't update. I was using a 32gb stick. I used my trusty 4gb patriot from 2010 and it worked. After the bios update (flashing orange) I got a solid red led. Stayed on a while and everything turned off. Bios updated and 13600k recognized
Just ran into this problem myself. I thought I had checked enough to made sure all was compatible when I upgraded my computers motherboard and CPU for the first time in a long time only to wonder if I had broken something when I got the "no signal" on my monitor on startup and some indications on the boards indications leds. After rechecking everything twice and then twice more I came upon the Flash issue with the same motherboards except its the ddr5 version so about ready to get my board updates to see if I can finally get my updates rig to work.

Really liked the video, took some of the fear away about my purchase after reading some of the comments on the GIGABYTE Z690 UD AX DDR4. Hey just watched vid I got the flash downloaded. Idk how fast you’ll see this but is worth a shot. Should I do this with out the cpu n gpu n everything else not plugged or can I do it with everything plugged in ?
hi i have the z690m aorus elite ddr4 motherboard with a i7-12700kf in it. i'm planning to upgrade to a i9-13900k.should i flash the bios before changing the new cpu or after?
I would probably do it before. You will have more options for one thing when it comes to updating if the CPU is not supported with the current BIOS. You can update with Q flash plus or just regular q flash.
You can do this even with the CPU in socket? My 14900K is not recognised by Z790 Pro X. I need the ultimate Bios F4 for that....but my CPU is already mounted withe the liquid cooler. Its a problem?
Great video but this seems inconvenient. I’ve already built my pc and installed windows and need to update the bios. Are you saying I have to take it apart just to flash and update it this way? Are you saying the traditional way of flash form usb through bios isn’t going to work without hitting that button?
No. You can do the regular way as well which we also have a video on. But if you can't do a regular update this is the option. You should be able to do this with PC assembled as well.
excellent video. I had to update the BIOS on my new Z690 board to support my 13th Gen Intel i5. Couldn't get a display on the monitor. After the update I am good to go. I have to say, those 6 minutes or so it took were a little nerve wracking but it worked. Never done a BIOS update in this fashion before. Live and learn.
after following the tutorial in your video (same motherboard CPU I5 12400 RAM DDR5 corsair dominator 5600Mhz) I still end up with the same problem no display (with the graphics card and also plugged into the motherboard.) No pin broken either... what to do?
@@KLEEBZTECH the procedure actually made me understand that the issue is not related to the mobo, but to the psu. You helped me figure that out so it's defenetly a success. Thanks man!

Should be no reason you can't. It supports Q-Flash Plus. Plus looking at the BIOS updates you would want to update the BIOS because of vulnerabilities.
If you see the flashing light and then nothing (indicating everything worked fine) but then you try to turn on the PC and it doesn't turn on, you may have downloaded the wrong bios. I have a wifi variant of a board and it has different bios, so what happened was it would blink and after 1 minute stop, turns out it was checking to see if the fioe was the right for this motherboard but without feedback i kept thinking it worked.
just a question, i have the same AIO and mobo as this one, and does it matter if i plug the pump into cpu_fan header or sys_fan6 which is labeled for the aio pump. I set the curve to silent and its based off pwm on cpu temp so it should be just as good as the cpu fan header right?

THANK YOU! I was so nervous going into building my first PC and learning about all the issues, but this gives me hope and confidence that I can set my CPU successfully
That's great! It is easier than it seems.
So, how did it go building your fist PC? I'm up next once i get my parts. Any heads up?
Thank you, you saved my life I bought everything new I mounted everything i713700k processor and nothing happened I had to disassemble everything I just left the processor on and managed to flash the bios uff!!
Yes. Although technically there are ways of doing it with larger USB. But won't dive into that here. Lol.
It's really really thank a lot ! I have spent 4 hours on why the motherboard couldn't enter the bios even all setup is correct. This Update BIOS Guide save my day. Short & Clear.
You are welcome!
Dude thank you so much! This is my first pc build and this was the only good video I could find. This fixed my problem. I couldn’t get a start-up screen and cpu/ram leds were flashing.
Thank you so much for this video! I had been struggling for days to try to get my build to work and was going crazy over trying to find what was wrong. Turns out all I needed to do was flash the BIOS. Again, thank you so much for this guide. A real life saver!
what problems were you having
CRAZY !!
I used the Bios update from the Gigabyte app Center.
Because I'm using a 4K monitor, when it came into the bios, it was all streched, I couldn't do anything.
It's when it happened: I restarted my pc, no lights would show. Fans would spin, no RGB anywhere except RAM.
I'm using a Aorus z690 Elite DDR5
I looked at this video, I did everything.
I didn't disassemble my PC as Julien T mentionned it worked anyway.
MAGIC:
My computer took about 5 minutes, eventually, the LED indicators on my motherboard started cycling.
The RGB everywhere started working again.
Computer restarted and my keyboard and mouse started glowing too.
HERE IT GETS CRAZY
My PC then went into the bios.
I was able to XMP to 5600mhz like my RAM is supposed to (Couldn't go above 5200mhz before)
All the lights in my machine started syncing up. RAM, GPU, FANS, WATERCOOLER, MOBO. (It wouldn't be the same color before)
Everything got fixed for an unfortunate little thing, thanks to this very video.
Thank you very much sir.
You are very welcome. Glad it worked out.
Thank you.
Would be nice if it was included on every motherboard.
I don't usually comment, but thank you for this. I was about to return and re-buy some parts after some days of headaches after trying to build a 13600K PC. Such a required thing not being explicitly told by the board manufacturer is a massive L for them.
Glad we could help. Computers kinda suck. 😂
Glad we could help. We stuck with 2.0 just to make things more likely to work, some 3.0 USB drives might work but probably not all of them
I’m running into the same problem hopefully I can find a 2.0 drive
This video saved my motherboard. Only expense was thermal paste since the system was bricked and CPU had to be removed.
I came back to say how much I appreciated your guide. It was straightforward and managed to recover my Z490 Gaming X mobo after a failed update through the terrible @bios software included with the mobo package.
Great to hear that you got your motherboard back up and running! Thank you for the feedback.
This tutorial is amazing! I'm upgrading my motherboard and your video is exactly what I needed for BIOS update. Thanks!
You are very welcome. Enjoy the new motherboard.
Great Video. I already have my i5 13600KF and my Mobo comes tomorrow. I feel very prepared to flash the bios and get off the ground. Thanks!
THANKYOU so much... you're a life saver. I got mine did not pass thru the POST.. now Its working again
Although lots of people have said it, I must also comment that this is an excellent guide.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for for saving my life or at least my weekend! My newly assembled PC wouldn't even post due to my 5600ghz RAM not being recognised by the MB. This solved the problem.
and it recognize the full 5600 mhz RAM? or it appears with 4800 mhz?
Thank you for showing me exactly how to do this. I couldn't figure out how mine wasn't working.
You are welcome!
Thank you so much for this. I have my motherboard coming in a few months and it has Q flash. Hope it goes as easy as it did for you. I've never assembled a PC before and all my parts are trickling in.
Good luck.
Very helpful and straight to the point. Thank you.
multiple hours trying to fix a non-POST .. reading through dozens of internet pages with contradicting information about Qflash+ ...
1 vid of you and 10 minutes later a POSTING PC \o/
Thx

When I assembled my computer and turned it on, nothing worked. Heres a few steps you might want to read if youre having trouble too:
My initial flashing process took around 1.5 minutes for the B660 with driver revision F20, which seemed curious to me.
Personally I can't imagine the allocation size makes a difference but you never know what these things. They are really sensitive it seems.
You absolutely saved me today! Thank you so very much, you deserve a thumbs up and a subscribe for sure!
Thank you so much... I was renaming the zip file, Gigabyte never mentioned that you have to unzip the file, worked just fine after that I renamed the file inside

massive thank you for this!!
it helped me so much to know that i needed to rename bios file.

@@KLEEBZTECH Does it really need to be capitalize the word GIGABYTE?
like for real, only found this vid only after I went through all the previous bios versions 😂
Thank you man!!! You helped me alot. 🎉🎉
For those whos PC not shutting down by it self. As soon as the LED at the button disappears, you wait 3-4minutes. Then you just hold the turn on button till the pc shuttes down. Then start your pc normally.😊
thank you very much- perfect walk through. I ordered the same board and wanted to prepare. Subscribed my friends.
This video solved my CPU and DRAM diode problem. Thanks a lot!

Thumbs up, you did great for the community here
dude is the GOAT.... i went through countless instructions and tutorials to troubleshoot how to flash my gigabyte mobo..... watched this vid.. worked the first time.

@@aoitamashii what`s the model of your CPU?
Thanks for info, and respect for a superflower.
Mine was the other way around, I couldn't flash with my 64GB flash drive, but when i moved the files over to a 2GB flash drive it worked.
simple gets to the point no over the top or anything or over complicating things
You’re the only person that’s best for some people I’ll sub
Es tan bueno este tipo, que no se inglés y le entendí perfectamente. Muchas gracias man!!
Con gusto.
Nice video, very helpful. Thx. Do more video for your about motherboard
Thank you. This helped me locate the flash button on my Board
You're welcome!
Thanks man! This was a perfect tutorial.
Glad we could help!
This guide worked perfect for me, ty!
You are very welcome.
Subbed! Thank you for the detailed guide. 👍
Getting this mother board in next week. Thank you for this
Followed these Instructions and now the motherboard won't power on. Oddly during my BIOS update the power supply shut off after only a few minutes but it went from steady flashing to solid led before it shut down. I waited for a few minutes to make sure there was no activity on the USB drive or the motherboard led indicator. Everything in the build is brand new.

Corsair rm750x PSU
I've tried reseating the RAM triple checked all my connections.
Yes always try multiple USBs. Although sometimes just a reformat of the same one will be enough. But 90% of the time the issue is the USB drive.
And those are the times I hate computers.
Did you try downloading the BIOS update again and trying? Just wondering if the file was corrupt or something. Damn computers.
@@KLEEBZTECH did not re-download but got it working by reinstalling the memory modules. No clue as to why this would fix it.
Thank you sir, typing from my fresh pc!
Excellent! And you are very welcome.
Great video! Informative with some humor " gave the motherboard some pricey " that line had me dying!!🤣
Just as a heads up. In my case the led stopped flashing and it took another 30 seconds for the PSU to finally shut off as well
Yes it will usually take a little time to finish.
thanks I named the entire map that name, not the specific thing, kept having it turn off after a few seconds before watching this video.
Very very informative!
thanks man, clear instructions
Excellent information! Just received my Z690 MB so went through the bios update process and all I got was the power light for a short while? Decided that the bios could already be 'the latest'? Will be assembling the system shortly so fingers crossed!
just a word of caution when doing this. I was updating my own bios using this method. It just would not start the flash process. The Qflash LED would not show it was doing the process. I was 100% sure i had done nothing wrong. The issue was caused by the motherboard not liking the actual usb pen drive. I had to use good quality Kingston data traveler drive
same files copied to it and it worked first time... So if you are having similar issues try this before doubting your file renaming and copying process.
Yes always assume an incompatible USB first. Often then issue.
Thank you so much bro I auctually love you I thought my pc was done for thank u sm I owe you. New subscriber
That is a terrible feeling and glad we could eliminate it. 👍
@@KLEEBZTECH yes all thanks to you. I was trying to get windows 11 on my pc but I had to turn on some things in bios so I watched a sketchy vid that led me to my problem. Still trying to figure out how to get windows 11 tho 😂
Thanks a lot !!!! Very helpfully !
You are welcome!
After the q-flash button pressed, what will happen if :
1) The USB drive not recognized due to false formatting, compatibility issue, or improper plug in?
2) misnaming the BIOS (bin) file
Will the BIOS revert back or it simply kills itself? Thanks
It just won't do anything if it can't find the proper file. Light will usually just flash for a couple of seconds.
Excellent. I use a Patriot 4GB as well for most of my updates. Old and trusty.
Thank you man! You was my last hope and you save me!!! Thank you so much!!
Glad we were able to help.
Smaller USB 2 drives work best if you have any problems.

Really liked the video, took some of the fear away about my purchase after reading some of the comments on the GIGABYTE Z690 UD AX DDR4. My question is I am going to be using a NVME as my drive, and the processor I got was a 12700KF. Do I need to do this before trying to setup the system and install an OS or will it recognize the processor and NVME and I can just update BIOS later? I hardly know anything about BIOS stuff and am worried about messing up this process somehow if it isn't necessary, since I am only using a 12th gen. Thank you again!
BROOOO THANK YOU SO MUCH I LOVE YOU
I feel the love from here. 😍
Hey just watched vid I got the flash downloaded. Idk how fast you’ll see this but is worth a shot. Should I do this with out the cpu n gpu n everything else not plugged or can I do it with everything plugged in ?
You can do it either way. Makes no difference.
thanks, very helpful!

hi i have the z690m aorus elite ddr4 motherboard with a i7-12700kf in it. i'm planning to upgrade to a i9-13900k.should i flash the bios before changing the new cpu or after?
I would probably do it before. You will have more options for one thing when it comes to updating if the CPU is not supported with the current BIOS. You can update with Q flash plus or just regular q flash.
You can do this even with the CPU in socket? My 14900K is not recognised by Z790 Pro X. I need the ultimate Bios F4 for that....but my CPU is already mounted withe the liquid cooler. Its a problem?
Yes.
have to do this currently because secure boot bricked my mobo, praying this fixes it.
extra info: after attempting to enable secure boot and updating PK Key, lost all display and the machine was stuck in a boot cycle.
Fingers crossed that it does.
cheers dude
thank you very much very helpful
Great video but this seems inconvenient. I’ve already built my pc and installed windows and need to update the bios. Are you saying I have to take it apart just to flash and update it this way? Are you saying the traditional way of flash form usb through bios isn’t going to work without hitting that button?
No. You can do the regular way as well which we also have a video on. But if you can't do a regular update this is the option. You should be able to do this with PC assembled as well.
@@KLEEBZTECH awesome I just did thanks

Great video mate, no faffing about, just straight forward. Would it be okay if you update with the CPU installed?
I have never done Q-Flash Plus with the CPU installed but from what I have read online and everything it should work.
excellent video. I had to update the BIOS on my new Z690 board to support my 13th Gen Intel i5. Couldn't get a display on the monitor. After the update I am good to go.

One question can I do this on a B550 DS3H that's gonna use an APU? (Ryzen 5600g)? Thank you so much :D
Should be no reason you can't. It supports Q-Flash Plus. Plus looking at the BIOS updates you would want to update the BIOS because of vulnerabilities.
@@KLEEBZTECH hi, tysm for your reply! what would be the vulnerability? thx!
It does not specify that on their support page.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
