Today we are looking at how to use the Gigabyte Qflash system to update the BIOS on the Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX. The process is pretty much the same for any QFLASH enabled motherboard, with the exception of the actual BIOS file itself will need to be the specific one for your motherboard model, as i explained in the video intro.

yeah it is a bit of a niche for us
I just used the wrong bios, it just didn’t want to flash. So I started everything again and discovered the right bios…. It’s currently flashing and hopefully everything else works. Your video is the best motherboard video I’ve seen.

@@mikesunboxing Update: I got the B650e version of this and it supports all 7000 series CPUs out of box, I didn't even go into the bios. I swapped everything over and after the memory training, it booted right up into all my same settings and OS. I also didn't need to change any bios settings to boot on the proper M.2 drive that runs my OS.

I love that i just found this video and therefor your channel! I was thinking if i should update bios through this method or through the bios as i just got all of the parts necessary for my next build! I really dont want to mess something up so whichever way is safest or easiest to do im doing that

Hi, Mike. I'm curious as to way you always flash the BIOS with the Q-Flash button, and not in the BIOS as I always do.
Lots of people can’t access the bios so it makes sense to start at the very basic low level, this is becoming more important as amd are releasing more and more am4 parts that even the freshest motherboard stock won’t be ready for.
The same will be happening later this year for the 9000 series on am5

I was thinking of getting this mobo for a 7800x3d and ddr5 2x16gb 6000mhz cl30 build.
But would hate to have that red light issue and not have a possible fix/tutorial.
Also is the audio on this good enough for gaming audio?

Hey Mike. Do you think buying a case equipped with the dust filter is a good idea? Will it really protect from a dust from your experience?
In my experience a dust filter helps but some dust always gets in, cases with bottom intake seem to collect less dust than front intake.

This worked for me, but with weird behavior.
Upon pressing the button, all system fans started spinning, but that's not unexpected. It first flashed quickly, then slowly. Took about 5 minutes. So far so good.
Booted, shut down and went to BIOS to re-enable XMP. Apparently this caused another memory training from scratch, which, according to Gigabytes website, is expected to "take longer" on higher speeds. However, after 25 minutes I still had black screens on 32GB DDR5-6000. I just shut it off and turned it back on to which it booted normally. Now this exact problem also occured when I put this PC together...I'm not sure if this is behavior is expected on this board on a full initial memory training?

Hi Mike... I just purchased a new mobo (aorus b650e elite ice) with 7800x3d. Problem though it says boot loader failed. It has 3 options that include ENTER BIOS but nothing happens if i click any option.
Would bios flash help me resolve this issue?

i just bought the b760 for my new intel cpu, but the red dbug light turns on and it keeps shutting off with no display. is getting the usb going to fix it?
if it shuts off that sounds like a thermal problem or the power button is stuck or faulty

How I know its flashed or not? I have the b650 Aorus elite ax v2
if it takes about 5 minutes then stops flashing then it is pretty safe to say it worked
My new b650e elite x ax ice with 7800x3d and F5-6000J3040G32G is only posting with a single stick. Each of them works without issues alone even @6000MT/s - spend hole day trying out several bios versions, cleared cmos like 30x, cpu wiggle - nothing helps so far
that is odd, maybe a bad board or needs a bios update

I would recommend flashing it anyway regardless as there are always new security fixes and stability patches that need to be applied

i've had to downgrade my bios to stock cause the latest bios makes my sata drives unusable
someone else mentioned that about B650 and SATA
So am i just forgetting to rename it?

I was and still am struggling. I joined your discord to get help, the guy just basically said "don't bother doing it" "if it's working, you don't need to bios update" totally not helpful at all!
reading back it seems you were struggling with the concept of unzipping or extracting the bios files? it that still the case
The problem wad/is there is no unzip option from what I can see.
I have more than 1 file in the downloaded folder. I have:
- EFI (folder)
- B650AELITEAXICE.F30 (F30 file)
- efiflash SOP (pdf)
- Efiflash.efi
- flash.nsh
what do i do?
rename the f30 file ignore the rest
did this and my ram light is no and no display i think my ram is cooked... i made this pc 2 months ago man
try reseating he RAM or try one stick at a time
