Great video Mike, unfortunately it didn't work on my Gigabyte B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE. I wanted to do a all white themed build. Could never get it to boot at all. Just hanging on with that red light with the G.Skill DDR5 6400 speed memory. I spent hours trying to get this to work. I don't have other parts to test it with except my power supply on my X570 Asus build. Half the time, my fans would turn on and then off and power supply would just shut off. Even switching my power supply form the x570, it did the same thing. I tried the Q flash and I let it blink and it would not stop blinking. Finally I gave up after letting it blink for over an hour and tried it again with my usb 32 gig sandisk. The same thing, just the same speed blinking for an hour. I don't build pc's to often, like maybe every 5 years. I never used Gigabyte before and despite the negative comments in years past from my friends who have a pc business to stay away from Gigabyte, I want to give them a try. Followed all the steps correctly and even went out to get a 16gb USB2.0 flash drive formatted as MBR and FAT32 but it didn’t work. My issue is that when I press the Q-Flash button the red LED turns on immediately and then off again. I’ve tried taking out the CMOS for an hour and trying again but no luck. I’ve tried again with all additional everything unplugged (CPU, M.2, GPU, and RAM) and again with everything plugged in. I’ve done this successfully on an AM4 that was 3000 series compatible out of the box for a 5000 series CPU so I have no idea what the problem is. The file name for the F32e file I changed to gigabyte.bin and confirmed it is a BIN file. Should I try keeping it as an F32e file?
I ended up getting it to work but I actually had to go and download the F30 version. For some reason it did not like flashing from the b and e type firmware files. I believe F31 also has a stable version but I just downloaded the bare minimum to run the 9000 series CPUs to be safe. Then once it actually Q-flashed, I booted it and used the BIOS to flash it to the most current (I believe F32e?). Hopefully someone having the same problem sees this and is able to get theirs up and running.

Hi Mike. This is 2024 and updating a PC BIOS should be an automated process. Like, Insert formated thumb drive into USB port marked BIOS. Open BIOS, click UPDATE BIOS, answer YES. Go to McDonald's and order dinner. Return home and the BIOS has been updated. I quess I'm living in a PC Dreamworld.

Unfortunately, after starting it, even though the fans are working, it does not detect the image, keyboard and mouse. The DRAM LED is lit red. I tried different ram, but nothing changed. You didn't show whether the power supply is connected to a power outlet or not, it's also never fully in the shot before/after you connected it, which is not that great for an instruction video. For all we know, you just instructed us to connect the pins and leave the PSU unpowered, and what is powering the flashing is the motherboard's built-in battery.

Should I try keeping it as an F32e file?
make sure you unzip the bios file
I ended up getting it to work but I actually had to go and download the F30 version. For some reason it did not like flashing from the b and e type firmware files. I believe F31 also has a stable version but I just downloaded the bare minimum to run the 9000 series CPUs to be safe. Then once it actually Q-flashed, I booted it and used the BIOS to flash it to the most current (I believe F32e?).
Hopefully someone having the same problem sees this and is able to get theirs up and running.
It still didn't work😢
Should I remove all the parts so it bare.?
There are a lot of reasons the BIOS update won't work as it should. If you are interested, we have made a video discussing common errors and some sanity checks you can make before considering returning the motherboard or taking it to a professional.

good one
Thank you! Cheers!
wait im so confused how did u get on a website without a motherboard
like how did u get on a pc without a motherboard
it was on another computer
@@mikesunboxing so can i put everything on the usb drive on my other pc and then plug it into my new motherboard of my new pc
@@fr3shotz Yes 🙂
My Bios updated completed (Q FLASH stopped blinking) but my PC did not power off on its own. Can I just turn it off now and turn it back on with a display plugged in to see if it worked?
UPDATE: I waited a bit longer and my MOBO rebooted. Does that mean bios update is now complete and can be turned off?
yes it should be
@@mikesunboxingcan USB drive be removed from MOBO once BIOS update is done
@ yes it can
I can’t tell if it worked it just flashed once and turned off
if it flashed once it won't have flashed
I figured out why my pins on the cpu chastity are bent and one is broken
Stay at F2 Bios version, thanks me later :)
thanks Mike... after i using the Q Flash Plus motherboard and successfully done.. i so happy it working..
Great to hear!
Hi Mike. This is 2024 and updating a PC BIOS should be an automated process. Like, Insert formated thumb drive into USB port marked BIOS. Open BIOS, click UPDATE BIOS, answer YES. Go to McDonald's and order dinner. Return home and the BIOS has been updated. I quess I'm living in a PC Dreamworld.
that is a nice dream, one day it might be a reality but not quite there yet
@@mikesunboxing Hi Mike and thanks for your reply. I hope sooner than later, as I'm 74. While watching your video I thought at times I was back in the good old MS-DOS days. I still have my MS-DOS for Dummies handbook.
Hi, maybe one of you could help me. I bought this motherboard, Ryzen 5 7600 and Lexar 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz. Unfortunately, after starting it, even though the fans are working, it does not detect the image, keyboard and mouse. The DRAM LED is lit red. I tried different ram, but nothing changed. I'm waiting for the equipment to be sent back for complaints, but is it worth trying to update the BIOS yourself? If this is a problem. Maybe someone had similar components... (sorry for my English)
This is maybe easier to fix or at least advise if we can ask more questions and get direct answers, so feel free to join our Discord chat and we can go over it in more detail discord.gg/XtBTGQ6BDu

@@janisperkons5390 Unfortunately, I sent the computer back for return. I changed the motherboard to MSI
Mike the bald 👨🦲 eagle 🦅 flasher at again….
can't stop a good flasher
You didn't show whether the power supply is connected to a power outlet or not, it's also never fully in the shot before/after you connected it, which is not that great for an instruction video. For all we know, you just instructed us to connect the pins and leave the PSU unpowered, and what is powering the flashing is the motherboard's built-in battery.
yeah turn it on just before you press the flashback button, i thought i mentioned that, if not my apologies
