  • Picked up MORE CORAL for the 20 GALLON
    What’s up TFC Fam! We picked up some more corals! Two ACAN corals! We also performed a water change on this aquarium! 🦾🦾 This aquarium is really coming together! Right now I’m only focusing on corals! Once that’s complete, then I’ll consider buying fish for this tank! It’s nice to have a reef tank again! I hope showing you how to perform a water change on this tank will prove to be useful! If you’re new here, consider subscribing to the channel! Thank you for your support!

    Another great video. I'm going through that "ugly" phase on my salt water tank now. It started clearing itself last weekend. Can't help but love the full family experience in the content. You, the Mrs, and the little one all in it like the rest of us in daily life. Keep it up man... That 20k is right around the corner.

      Thank you! I’m also dealing with the ugly phase at the moment! The Cyanobacteria is really doing a number on my tank.

    You can dip those zoas in 3% hydrogen peroxide to remove the algae on the plugs. 1part peroxide to 4parts water

    With no fish how do maintain nutrient levels for the coral to thrive? Also if you fill up the tank with all salt water after evaporation during your water change, won’t that raise your salinity?

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  3 місяці тому +1

      Fish band cleanup crew will be coming. As for topping off water evaporation. You top off with RODI water, not saltwater.

    What if you wanted to start a 125 gallon saltwater tank, how much salt I would have to mix with the water?

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  3 місяці тому +1

      Follow the instructions on the salt container. 1/2 cup per gallon of RODI water.

    Do you need a sump and bio balls for a salt water tank ?

    • @tcmarineaddiction6609
      @tcmarineaddiction6609 4 місяці тому +1

      No its not necessary

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  3 місяці тому +1

      Right on Tim.
      It’s definitely not necessary but can be an advantage. And bio balls are just a type of media. You can use any type of media.
