Adjustable wrench is an easy way to strip a nut, bolt and brake line, hope you used the correct tool (line wrench) when installing the new brake line. Good informative video.
Great video and thumbs up on improvising. As a jeep owner is nice to know there people like you willing to help the DY kind of guy to save money like myself. Thanks

This is wrong....... On the jk you need to connect to the obd with a scan tool and sequence through the abs solenoid valve system or your brakes won't be fully bled.
Can you explain the bottle more to me? What size tubing to fit on the nipple? And is the green clamp you use mandatory? Also you mention having the ability for air to exit the bottle so that just a slightly larger bore in the cap (than the tubing that allows that? Sorry for the many questions getting ready to replace my rotors, pads and calipers and want to flush the system while I'm at it.
Looks fairly simple, but Im gonna try to do my own brakes this time. You said about letting air excape from top of bottle. So the tube in top of bottle is not tight there is a little gap? And when someone is pump the brakes is the vehicle running? Thanks for the video.
Hi.!! I just found your video and the bleeding procedure was very well explained, very clear and informative. I was just wondering if I could use this method along side a scanner on a 2018 Jeep Compass Sport with ABS. Thanks in advance for your prompt response. Thanks.!!!
I have to ask since this was not covered. Are you suppose to put the cover back on the master cylinder after topping off or does is stay on during the whole bleeding process. (Eg. when you drain your engine oil you leave the oil cap off so it drains properly )
Hey Dax! What are the two lines that are attached to the master cylinder and where do they lead to? My service manual doesn’t mention them and the line’s nut closest to the brake booster is crossed threaded! I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
Hey, Dex! Is it possible to remove the brake booster from your Jeep Wrangler without disconnecting the master cylinder from the brake lines?I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. My brake booster has a hole in it causing my brakes not to operate normally. I have to apply excessive pressure to stop my Jeep. So I decided not to drive it until I replace it. But I don’t feel like having to bleed my brakes. What you think?
I just replaced front calipers on my 2007 JK and I have bled the brakes numerous times and still have soft pedal. Some ppl have suggested I use a scan tool to properly bleed the ABS after bleeding the calipers. Is this true? Or does this only apply to newer Jeeps?
Les scwab forgot to put my brake cap back on after a rear disc repair and fluid change. I drove about 60 miles with no cap. Recommend having them do anything besides getting my cap back?
@@jbr496 and its mid frame so is the back right the farthest or the front right to start the bleed . but i think a full bleed should take care of the ABS block , but I'm not for sure !!!
LoL every video I’ve watched without typing in passenger side every jeep has the passenger side go out as well as passenger side headlights what Hell is with this shit
I haven't bled brakes in years. Thank you for the refresher, AdventureDex!
Didn't know how that was done and how simple it is until I watched this vid. Thanx Dex!
Cheers from Denver CO
Thanks for the feedback brother!! #jeepwave
Great video as always brother! Prayers and stay safe during the hurricane 🙏🏻
Thank you!!

Exactly, don't know why anyone would use an adjustable wrench on a brake line.
That's why they make line wrenches

I’ve always been afraid to change calipers fearing I’d get air in the lines, but seeing this, I’m a lot more comfortable.
Not hard my guy u can do it easily just take ur time if needed
Nice job. Music not blaring! A+
Thanks!! Glad you liked the improved editing!
Thanks for the video. 1st time brake bleed after changing speed sensor. Worked great.

What about bleeding the ABS pump? There a lot of old brake fluid still in there.
How were you able to perform the ABS module bleeding?
How are you preparing for the storm..send video! Be safe brother!
Thanks for your thoughts! I will be live on IG during the storm at @adventuredex Come follow! Thanks for the support!

Stay safe and let us know how you are doing there

Really helpful! Much appreciated. I was just about ready to go by a $60 pump recommended on another video. Glad I didn't. Thanks for sharing. -SLC, UT

Did you bleed the brakes while the car was on?
Should the level in the master cylinder be monitored ?
Go Fins!
Haha! Thanks for watching!
you push the brake with the engine off or on? thanks for the video.
You can do it with the engine on 👍🏼
So after you bleed your brakes, where do you dispose the old, dirty brake fluid?
Great Question! The most common way is to pour it into cat litter which will get rid of it! Thanks for watching!
what size tubeing are you useing
What size hose did you use to connect the Zurk fitting to bleed brake fluid?
I believe it was a 1/4.
You need a rag with less fibers coming off it too... LoL.
What is the diameter of the hose?

Hey, bleeding the brakes is easy and worth it. 👍🏼
I just replaced front calipers on my 2007 JK and I have bled the brakes numerous times and still have soft pedal. Some ppl have suggested I use a scan tool to properly bleed the ABS after bleeding the calipers. Is this true? Or does this only apply to newer Jeeps?
I've heard that if you drive on a gravel road and then pump the breaks till the ABS activates can somewhat rectify the need to use a scan tool.
Bro Stay safe! Some bad stuff coming your way.....
Thanks brother!!
Thanks, I think I can handle this 🤔

What do you mean brake cap?
@@adventuredex the yellow cap sealing the brake fluid under the hoode
Ohhhh, I’d just make sure your fluid level is ok and maybe rebleed the brakes. Should be fine long term tho
What size hose did you use?
I believe it was a 1/4 but I am not 100% sure! Sorry!
Did you have to bleed your anti-lock brake system
Inquiring minds want to know this! Nobody seems to have videos on how to deal with the ABS.

Your Dangerous in a bad way. Remind me to never go to you for brakes!!!!
Hate watching American vids since the jeeps have no rust lol It's a nightmare in Canada
great video, slow down when you are talking a little. You seem like you are running out of breath. Overall great job. Keep up the great work.
I have no friends :(
