What is the inherent problem with judging yourself? So, you are fully aware of chasing something and bias against your inflated expectations. Isn't that pre-judging your bias to over-promise and under-deliver? Isn't that part of a virtuous cycle: I think judgment (of my own limitations or weaknesses) leads to discernment and discernment leads to wisdom. Wisdom allows me to pre-judge with a better sense the next time around.
