Gotta add, I don’t think anyone who’s familiar with this channel is gonna be mad at you having a sponsor! We are here for your content and want you to be able to continue. I’m happy for you! (Also kinda wish the “weed whacker” was for butthole hair only. Sorry, but not really.)
Video Notes: Thanks for letting me help with this video, it was a very informative one, and bringing the education to your audience with a helping of kindness is very much something you excel at! Your disclaimer prior to the sponsorship shows just how much integrity and care you have for your audience, and how wholesome and protective of a person you are, so I'll always affirm and back you on that. You say our support is "more than you deserve", which is a thought process I'd love for you to get past. You deserve all of your support, and even more. Fitness UA-cam and the world in general is a better place with your voice and advocacy a part of it, so please don't doubt yourself. Great video, time and time again! Thanks for everything you do bro.
I think we know you well enough already to know that you wouldn’t “sellout” or promote something that would harm anyone. We trust you to be truthful and you do what you need to do for your channel 😊
OOOOOOOOOOH, THIS MAN RIGHT HERE!! Our Harry has found himself a sponsor that meets his moral standards, and that is no small thing! Proud as hell of you, sir.
When I saw the thumbnail of this video, I silently wept. Because you, Harry, are a good man. A classy man. A polite man. And Mr. Seedman deserves none of those features when he is addressed. He deserves scathing criticism, preferably laced with profanity.
I just found your channel, and been binging for three days straight. I don’t know why I haven’t discovered you until now, but I’m glad I did. Keep up the amazing work🥇
As someone with ulcerative colitis, I'm used to people trying to sell BS products that will "cure" an incurable condition, but $300 for a book is a new one.
I know you said that you felt naked and vulnerable when you took the beard off, but your own face looks so much better! Always appreciate the morals that keep you so honest, including declining brand deals.
Yes Harry! You got a sponsor get that bag 😎 I don’t think your audience thinks you’re selling out, we know your heart and how much you appreciate us 💕 Fantastic video and honestly bc of you Harry I’m not scared to weightlift around others, I’m no longer embarrassed, and I’m seeing results. I can’t tell you how awesome you are and how much your advice/talks help me. I’m so happy you’re getting the recognition you deserve :)
Just coming on here to say that I fully support you doing sponsorships and I definitely trust you enough as a creator to know you will only ever promote or mention things you believe in. I hope you can find a way to accept awesome deals and collaborations without feeling unnecessarily guilty or apprehensive about it. 99% of us are here because we love your content regardless and we'd love to see you become more successful! We can all tell that you're an extremely humble and passionate person and if accepting sponsorship deals helps you financially and puts you on the radar in the fitness community, that's great and we'd be happy for you :)
Your tid bits of information has gotten me to gain two pounds of muscle and drop to 18 percent body fat just since January 🤩 we will always tolerate you Harry and proud of you for the sponsor! ❤️
Long time watcher, first-time commenter (first UA-cam comment ever actually!). I've emerged from my lurker habitat because I just wanted to say that I admire your genuine effort to be a decent human being. There are so many annoying and pushy people on the line, trying to trick you into thinking/believing/buying certain stuff, that you are truly a breath of fresh air. Just wanted to express my gratitude and wish you the greatest of success. Maybe I'll come out of lurkerville more often :)
Big compliment to you Harry: when I’m back home I spend my evenings chilling with my sister - each doing our own thing - she thinks most of my favourite UA-camrs are really annoying but I put this video on last night and she was like “okay you can watch this guy’s stuff anytime he’s bloody hilarious”, I have to agree
You are so freaking awesome. Thank you for being so genuine and honest, always putting your subscriber’s best interest first even if it means turning down money from sponsorships, affiliates, etc, and cutting out all the bs surrounding the fitness industry so that your viewers are only getting the facts, tips/advice, and help we really need. I went to a trade school to become a personal trainer cuz I had a passion to help people, healthy body equals a happy mind n throughout my battle with major depressive disorder I’ve always searched for a way that I could hopefully help others going through the same battle. Unfortunately I found out after graduating that being a trainer has very little to do with helping people and really it’s just selling them sessions, as many as possible for as much as possible, even if they really can’t afford it. I learned in a short portion of the psych class how to use psychology to get clients to spend money even if they are hesitant and that includes manipulating them to spending money they really can’t afford to 😢 So I ended up with over $40,000 in student loans after interest and never trained one person cuz I didn’t want to be a salesperson. All that to say, thank you for providing information to the world for free and not worrying about making money. You’re a truly kindhearted person and we appreciate you 💕
Harry, I would trust your sponsorship with my eyes closed!! You don't have to worry about saying yes to the brands that want to support you if the align with your ethics. You deserve it!!!
Thank you for explaining your sponsorship. I realllly appreciate that you have a high standard for your sponsors!!! That increases trust big time and that's better for you and your sponsors. Thank you Harry for always keeping up the standard of excellence. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great video!! (As usual) On an unrelated note: While I was completing a UA-cam bodyweight workout, I found myself thinking things like: Is the resistance even on the muscle we’re targeting here? Why are we burning out this muscle…just because it’s burning doesn’t mean it’s working. 🤣🤣
I think that squat depth is really personalized. If you're doing ATG squats you won't be able to handle the same weight, and that can reduce the amount of gain you have, but you also won't activate the same muscles, so it's a balancing game. Generally I think people should squat at whatever depth they find comfortable and is giving them results, if they aren't getting results then change it up! Unless they're training for a comp, in which case, they should squat slightly lower than the required depth, just to ensure they can hit depth. (Although a lot of heavy squatters train slightly above the required depth, but most people, myself included aren't them) Like I think that the problem is people saying "Only squat ATG or it's worthless" or "only squat to 90 or it's worthless." when there's reason to do either of those things for different kinds of training. Just like there's reasons to do deadlifts from a platform and deadlifts with the bar raised. There are advantages to training different ranges of motion, or variations is even better.
CQOTW: So we talk a lot about progressive overload and a certain volume per muscle as tools to help us build more muscle. What about maintenance? If I were happy with my muscle mass, how should I further manage volume and weight to maintain that mass and not increase it? Thanks! On a side note, I'd like to thank you for making all this content. You introduced me to Natacha Oceane, and my approach to fitness changed drastically. Also, I like to see you critiquing male athletes and fitness experts, as I feel like they tend to get away with click-baity and inaccurate content more often (or less publicly, or with less retaliation) than female content creators.
Another thing! You are not wrong about the PhD bit at all! I'm a philosophy student and my fiance is a literature PhD. He constantly claims that I'm better informed and educated than him. And being a PhD doesn't make you an unquestionable authority on the topic.
Renaissance periodization has a really nice (very comprehensive) article about training volume. They estimate as little as 6 working sets per muscle group per week is sufficient for maintenance. Otherwise, I don’t think your training should need adjusted much. I’d still try to slowly increase the weight for your working sets, maybe over a longer period of time. Without a calorie surplus, you’re not likely to increase mass. rpstrength.com/training-volume-landmarks-muscle-growth/
Agree! It does seem that male fitness influencers are called out for click bait much less than their female counterparts, I’ve heard others within the industry note this as well
Hey, I've been seeing you talk much about professionals/ non-professionals concerning their qualifications as valid or not. I don't know if it is of your interest, but a video or a podcast discussion focusing on this topic would be of great help. I am sure people regularly doubt, especially in this massive 'informational' era, who we should trust and why, not only in fitness. Anyways, love your videos and hope you can get the recognition you deserve soon!
Thank you so very much for answering my question, you are the best human out there ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Congratulations on your sponsorship! And… we don’t tolerate your video, we love your videos! Keep them coming.
I really love the format of your videos. I love how you put up disclaimers, trigger warnings etc., and also link timestamps/chapters. So much effort goes into every single video and, honestly, we appreciate the well-produced, informative videos very much. Thank you for your work, Harry💕💕🥺
I never thought you would cover him!!! As someone who is interested in strength and conditioning he’s someone who has popped up a lot on my feed and I’ve questioned his stuff lol
Hah! Love to see the first commercial in this channel (milestone!!) and of course Mr. H can make that entertaining as well 😄👏 “feeling borderline slippery” made me lol
Female here, I actually LOVE using manscape lol. & LOVE your channel. def don't worry about the sponsor. It's awesome to see your YT career is growing and you are consistently putting out awesome content!
I've been watching you for a few months now and I love your content and what you stand for. You have taught me a lot and helped me with some of my forms. Thank you so much!
First, don’t feel weird about manscapped promotion. I enjoyed how straight forward you are overall. Keep doing you :D 👍 Now onto a serious comment: It’s really the worst when ppl claim you can “cure” certain diseases by either exercise or diet (except for those we know can be controlled by diet and healthy lifestyle already). It’s so damaging cause often it is untrue and has no medical basis whatsoever.
We support you getting the money you deserve for putting out such amazing information. Thank you for being so choosy with your sponsorship. I think women could actually use some products from Manscaped for their lady bits btw. Also “borderline slippery” made me lollllllll
As someone whose worked retail, it makes perfect sense to have a sponsored product like this. If you go to any high end store you will see a LOT of women shopping in the mens areas. Something like 80% of the sales from the mens shoe dept were made by women. Thanks for an awesome video!
Thank you for this great, informative video. As someone who has been resistance training for not too long (a year and a half,) I am always looking for technical advice! Also, anyone who has followed you and watched your videos in any capacity will know you are not a sell-out. You are one genuine guy!
I got my husband one a couple years ago for Christmas and it’s an outstanding product. They send him monthly things I’m still charged for but he gets so happy for damn ball wipes.
Discovered your channel a week ago and you’re genuinely my new favourite UA-camr. I love your information and videos, but also your general message and honesty. Thanks for the great content!
Congratulations on your sponsorship! Have you thought about making TFNL merch? I’m sure it would be a hit! I was wandering if you recommend a good push exercise for upper body on a machine?
I do something called a "reverse peck deck" which (if I recall correctly) is a machine that allows you to "bench" sitting upright I personally use it on push days
Damn, I guess you didn’t do enough 90 degree eccentric isometrics to stop the beard from snapping either - lesson learned the hard way 😔 Lol congrats on the sponsorship Harry, definitely don’t stress about sounding like a sellout (unless you start pushing your $300 book, that’s where I draw the line)!
Awesome video, the beard totally made my morning 😊! It definitely got me thinking as I’ve had so many ‘squat variation’ videos turn up on my feed lately (maybe the algorithm is sensing how basic I am lol) but I’ve heard it’s associated with a lot of injuries too. Still not quite sure why or how you could injure your shoulder but maybe it’s a balance thing 🤷♀️
CQOTW: pardon if someone has already asked this; but I’ve noticed that when I’m doing things like lateral raises I feel it in my forearms more than anything. Wondering if that’s normal and just part of it or if I can do something differently. I’ve only been working out with weights for a bit. Forearms seems to give out pretty quickly on those moves though. Im not locking my elbow out. Hopefully not a completely ridiculous question.
Likely just means your forearms are a weak point that could use some extra training. What do your sets look like? Weight, reps and general tempo? One way to hit your side debts a but faster would be to not use any pause at the bottom. Lower in a controlled manner, but immediately rebound into the concentric portion so you have to overcome the momentum.
If you have lifting straps, see if they help, then incorporate isolated forearm/grip work at the end of your workouts and see if you see any improvement. (Not a professional but I've struggled with forearm weakness after ECRB tear and radial tunnel syndrome and reluctantly adding straps to my program helped so much.)
Love you and all you stand for in fitness and therefor I trust you to choose a sponsor you believe in. You have educated us enough to decide if your sponsor is for us……I’m a woman and although I’m not hair free I’m sure I don’t need manscaping 😂 xx
They market these ones for men but they aren’t gender specific :) Just like deodorants (I used to steal my sister’s constantly haha). Also, that is bravery if I’ve ever seen it!
First time we looked there were some shipping issues, though now that the channel is at 50K+ and people are asking for merch nearly every video now, will be looking into it again soon! 😀
I think we're all just trying to find ways to give back to Harry for all the value he's bringing to our lives free of charge and purchasing merchandise is an easy way for us to do just that. Anyway, I think there's a bunch of third party services that can help in setting up a merch store. Just please make sure you also ship to Europe and not just the US. I'm so pumped for my hot pink TFNL hoodie!
Hm, what if - Harry starts his own fitness apparel brand using TFNL? I've been hunting for some new gym clothes recently and those things are unnecessarily expensive so if I'm to spend 70 EUR on a pair of freaking glorified leggings, I might as well support someone like Harry in the process.
Hey! This is very much on the cards, the shipping to other countries has been a bit of a pickle that I'm trying to overcome especially as I want to be able to do this properly/well. I really appreciate your support but please never feel like you need to do even more - watching me on the screen is more support than I could ask for! Thank you so much
Would it be possible to gain a lot of muscle (like for example blogilates claims) in a short time if you had gained it before? I heard that you regain muscle faster than you gained it the first time due to muscle memory, but how fast is realistic?
You do typically regain muscle faster than building it for the first time, though Blogilates claims of how much muscle she gained are unrealistic (this will will covered more in depth for the post 90 day challenge video).
Comment question of the week maybe: I exercise at home using dumbbells. For my legs, my exercises includes squat variations, deadlift variations, lunge variations, and kickback…variations. The upper part of my bum has grown greatly, but I want to know how do I really work on the bottom bum bits? Thank you for your content
I’d add in a hip thrust or glute bridge variation. That’s going to target your glute max, but you can’t isolate one particular area of the muscle if that makes sense.
@@tashles In addition, the shape, especially around the area between your glutes and your hamstrings, of your muscles is almost entirely determined by genetics and body fat %. Keep doing what you're doing as it sounds like you're getting good results. Eventually the size at the bottom will come as well. If you want to improve the look, body fat stored in this area will often have an outsized aesthetic effect on the perceived size of the bottom part of your bum as more body fat will make this area look like it's less defined due to the fat stored in the crease between your hamstring and the bottom of your glute.
I will say that there are instances of people gaining like 17 lbs of muscle in short times when they're gaining it back after an injury. But that's the only time I've heard of that happening.
@@TFNL Likely not although Casey Viator gained something insane during the Colorado experiment, after losing nearly that amount of weight. Basically the results from the Colorado Experiment are mostly a result of that. (Although to be unfair Casey was certainly on significant pharmacology, but the amount that he gained is absurd even for that.)
@@TFNL But yeah, I can't think of any case where that's ever happened for an athlete outside of injury recovery. Like (again with substantial "assistance") Ronnie Coleman gained around 10 lbs over a period of an entire year. (And probably some percentage of that wasn't muscle, if a small percentage.)
@@TFNL Yep because if Ronnie puts on 20 lbs, then suddenly 5% body fat is a whole pound of difference. And Ronnie is using the best training and the best drugs, so he's gaining the maximum that he could gain, almost certainly. And it's nowhere near that amount. Certainly an athlete who is no completely focused on hypertrophy might be able to gain more, but certainly not ten times that amount. That'd be gaining like 140 lbs of muscle over the course of a year
I must started going to the gym, Where I’m living personal trainer is crazy expensive. Basically I want to know if we really need PT. Or is it also possible to learn everything on my owns without getting hurt? Im also super intimidated when I go to the gym
We want Austin collab... And don't think we didn't notice Harry you changing your "signature statements", stopping at bits and no mention of bobs.. Bloody splendid...this is all not sounding right 🙄 😒 😐
Does anyone know an effective way to measure body fat percentage? I'm 5'6'' (168 cm) and around 130lbs (59 kg) and my gym scale said I was at around 40% bodyfat, which I find really hard to believe since that would mean I fall into the 'obese' category...?
With that standard before you accept a sponsorship, you can see why so many of us trust you! Now waiting with baited breath for those sweet silly hat sponsorship dollars!!
CQOTW: I'm supposed to do backward lunges with dumbell but as you said, arms fail a lot sooner than legs and last time I couldn't hold my dumbells and used the barbell. Is it ok if I do this while I get my straps? If I try to keep the same form, does it changes anything using dumbells or barbell?
@@morena6717 anytime! You might actually find that using a barbell will help you progressively overload better over time depending on how much weight you’re lifting. Even with straps to help in terms of grip, I find some of the heavier dumbbells a bit bulky to work with sometimes. Also, you might be able to increase the weight at smaller increments depending on the dumbbells you have available.
@@melissathelioma2890 True! When I train my upper body I always wish there was some "in the middle" weight for dumbbells! And using the barbell was much more comfortable! I was able to use dumbbells up to 22kg each, but 24 was too much for my arms! And thanks again for anwering! :) I really appreciate it!
I love using a barbell! I find it's easier to keep my balance and I can go a lot heavier (50kg barbell vs maybe 2x15kg dumbbells) The only disadvantage is that it's harder to go to failure since you can't just 'drop' the barbell like you would with dumbbells...

We support you getting the money you deserve for putting out such amazing information. Thank you for being so choosy with your sponsorship. I think women could actually use some products from Manscaped for their lady bits btw. Also “borderline slippery” made me lollllllll
Yasssss!!! Get that sponsorship money! You deserve it! Love the channel and the content!
First time in a video that I didn't mind watching some sponsored content. Cute. 😄
Thank you!
Thank you!
Congrats on the sponsorship🥳🥳
I got my husband one a couple years ago for Christmas and it’s an outstanding product. They send him monthly things I’m still charged for but he gets so happy for damn ball wipes.
When Dr. Seedman says this is the best way to grow muscle, does he realize we can see him??
Savage but brilliant 😂
Congrats on the sponsor 🎉
Thank you :)
Discovered your channel a week ago and you’re genuinely my new favourite UA-camr. I love your information and videos, but also your general message and honesty.
Thanks for the great content!
Harry is extremely intelligent, caring and sophisticated, he's a real gentleman
alright I absolutely cracked up at the "so if I did 90° eccentric isometric that wouldn't have occurred" PLS😭😭😭😹😹😹😹
Try reviewing Hana milly as well !
Congratulations on your sponsorship!
Have you thought about making TFNL merch? I’m sure it would be a hit!
I was wandering if you recommend a good push exercise for upper body on a machine?
I do something called a "reverse peck deck" which (if I recall correctly) is a machine that allows you to "bench" sitting upright
I personally use it on push days
@@emilyesnyman ooooh that sounds excellent!! I’ll hunt through my gym and see if they have one! Thank you 😊
I’m here for your content, your opinion, your knowledge and your willingness to help us. Thank you 😊
Got some sponsor, bravo 👏🏻 good for you.
❤️ From S. A🇿🇦
Me too!
Most entertaining video I’ve ever watched of yours 🎅🏼
Finally! A sponsor.
Could be facts! Thank you :)
get that bag!!! we respect you for keeping to your values.
congratulations on the sponsorship!! well deserved :)
Could be a mobility thing too potentially!
I really enjoy your content. Your videos are great and very informative.
Can I say I LOVE YOUR SCREEN NAME??? KOTH forever! A little spoonful of orange juice...no body else does that. 😀
@@maryhamric 😂 thank you! Peggy reminds me of my mom. Take that how you will, haha.
Can you send me a video of you performing the movement on Instagram? I can have a look and see what might need adjusting :)
You’re so funny Harry!
Yay a new video! As always very informative. Keep up the great work 😊
Thank you!
I couldn't stop laughing about your slippery armpits. You're the best.
Love you and all you stand for in fitness and therefor I trust you to choose a sponsor you believe in. You have educated us enough to decide if your sponsor is for us……I’m a woman and although I’m not hair free I’m sure I don’t need manscaping 😂 xx
I take it all back lol I’m going to buy it for my husband to try 😁 you got me at balls 🤣😂
Sponsored harry! Woot!
I guessed it would be Manscaped 🤣
Question Harry, are razors gender specific? My female friend always buys mens.
I'm hard core and epilate my arm pits 😉
Great content, as usual👍
They market these ones for men but they aren’t gender specific :) Just like deodorants (I used to steal my sister’s constantly haha). Also, that is bravery if I’ve ever seen it!
@@TFNL It bloody is! 💪
He is wearing a hot pink TFNL hoodie! I swear he's taunting me. Austin, where's our hot pink TFNL merch?! :'(
First time we looked there were some shipping issues, though now that the channel is at 50K+ and people are asking for merch nearly every video now, will be looking into it again soon!
@@mmaddiee I'll make sure this is all brought up to him! 🙂
Hey! This is very much on the cards, the shipping to other countries has been a bit of a pickle that I'm trying to overcome especially as I want to be able to do this properly/well. I really appreciate your support but please never feel like you need to do even more - watching me on the screen is more support than I could ask for! Thank you so much
i was WAITING for this one
Would it be possible to gain a lot of muscle (like for example blogilates claims) in a short time if you had gained it before? I heard that you regain muscle faster than you gained it the first time due to muscle memory, but how fast is realistic?
You do typically regain muscle faster than building it for the first time, though Blogilates claims of how much muscle she gained are unrealistic (this will will covered more in depth for the post 90 day challenge video).
Pump fiction should release on UA-cam as well ❤
This could be happening soon...
@@TFNL I heard ❤❤ #self-love
Yasss on the sponsorship!! If I had a man to scape id support you. 😂 🏳️🌈💅

@@melissathelioma2890 Oh, I forgot- I do a weighted glute bridge too. Thank you for your help!
@@LebowskiSucks Thank you! That makes so much sense.
@@tashles pleasure!
I will say that there are instances of people gaining like 17 lbs of muscle in short times when they're gaining it back after an injury. But that's the only time I've heard of that happening.
Even then, 17lbs in 6 weeks is likely not happening
@@davidpeters6743 Agreed! It’s always hard to know exactly how much gain has been muscle mass
That'd be gaining like 140 lbs of muscle over the course of a year
Cardio is hardio!!! Love it!
That guy's squats are ridiculous!
300 things, worth a dollar... couldn't say it myself better XD
Just pure facts!
get that 💰Harry!

I must started going to the gym, Where I’m living personal trainer is crazy expensive. Basically I want to know if we really need PT. Or is it also possible to learn everything on my owns without getting hurt?
Im also super intimidated when I go to the gym

@@austinhenshaw2140 prayers in the queue to be answered...🙂
Hello all ♥️
Does anyone know an effective way to measure body fat percentage? I'm 5'6'' (168 cm) and around 130lbs (59 kg) and my gym scale said I was at around 40% bodyfat, which I find really hard to believe since that would mean I fall into the 'obese' category...?
You may as well close your eyes while driving then!! Eyes closed during yoga is fine, but squatting?!
Either option is great!
@@melissathelioma2890 Great! Thanks a lot! 😀
