I did this exact conversion a few months ago. I luckily got them free because I work at a bodyshop and they came off a truck that was lightly hit. A few tabs were broken on them but with some 142 fusor bond I was able to reattach the tabs very strongly. Great video John!

Those VLand headlights are sick. And good bang for the buck. I installed these on my 5th gen 2 years ago when I first got it and I couldn’t be happier with them. If you get them through evilbay they have a “make an offer” option and as long as your offer isn’t too outrageous they will accept it. 👌👍😁

I had done this 6 years ago I found a set of projectors with the black bezel instead of the chrome ones. I sold those to get a set of the Alpha Rex ones.
I prefer the stock quads over the projector. But really looking forward to the after market ones you have in the box.

Anyway you can help out I love this channel I have a ram and I’m definitely looking into doing a lot of the mods you have shown. I have an issue, when I use my turn signal ( left ) it says light out. Every light is on and working through ?
I had replicas projectors that lasted 2 years before condensation started but I had new alpharex headlights waiting so I didn’t care and just sold it
i use socket with long extension for bottom bolt and short socket for top to avoid grill dismount
Which harnesses are available to convert FROM projector to “quad” style.. the aftermarket support for the non-projector style seems to be more abundant.. that and my headlights are starting to condensate pretty good..
The blackout projector headlights are the way to go in my opinion.

I have a 2016 mega cab with projectors and they suck, can’t see crap at night without fog lights on. Haven’t seen any aftermarket lights that I like. Waiting for tomorrows video now.

You say that till you have driven with them. My fog lights are brighter with hikari’s in them then my low beams.

I'd definitely go with the projector headlight assembly, but I would change to led bulbs.
Hid in the lows is the way to go. He's posted videos of the difference and the hid is leaps and bounds better.

I have a 02 Xterra. I put Morimoto projectors in it with a HID kit. It looked awesome and worked really really good. High beams were like driving in the day time. However HID kit quality seems to really suck in general. I have been looking for a decent junkyard set to convert back. Would have been nice to have factory connections without the needs for ballasts and stuff.
I’ve been running the same innovited 55w hid kit for years and over 40k miles no issues. I’ve made videos on it

What do you mean? If you put an hid kit on you still need ballasts ect..guess I’m lost what you are saying
@@Justin12833 just saying it was a plug and play with his truck. Mine has a ballast on each side with a controller that makes the driver side work. If the controller fails the driver side light stops working.
@@peanutpower8826 guess im still lost did pre owned? Did someone else add a hid kit or did you. When you say ballast you are speaking of HID. I thought rams were only using leds?
Mine is a 10 model before the projector lights but it has the quad light headlights.

I put these lights on my 2011 ram but the ambers don’t come on as my DRLs. Everything else works fine tho. Is it possible I have the harness plugged in wrong ?
