i have a 2001 s600.. negotiated down to $3100 from $4k.. the air suspension needs to be replaced in the front and my grandpa is a mechanic he said it’s $400 since he knows what he’s doing.. any shop would charge anywhere from $2k-$4k.. that’s honestly the only issue with the car even though it’s a 5.8L v12 naturally aspirated.. took it to autozone to get it scanned and it has no issues with the engine so it’s pretty sweet.. 350hp and a f1 sounding car if i ever get to straight piping it fun car for me only being 18 years old
Also if you look hard enough, you can find some E400/E450’s under $25,000. Same engine as the C43 and if you get the coupe they’re pretty nimble and fun to drive, plus definitely a bit more lucurious than the C-Class

I've got a 210 320 full exhaust as well as cold air intake its got the monoblocks on it as well bought mine for 1600 and put over 8k (I replaced everything with oem parts I'm talking everything) into it but man I love my car And yes my dream is the 210 e55 and imma get it I swear lol
They are great and mechanically speaking solid besides the breaking system and air suspension. Edit, I was thinking of the w211. You’ll just be going through a lot of rear tires and be a regular at the Gas station

W204 C350! Cheap af if you can get a good deal I got mine (2015) for 22k with 27k miles. I've put over 20k miles since then with just a transmission mount replacement and 2 wheel speed sensors outside of regular maintenance. Well worth considering it's got 302hp.

In addition to that, it’s an S Class, these cars set the precedent for safety technology and comfort/amenities. 2012-2013 may be up to and slightly above 25k, but a 2007-2011 S Class can be had any day for well under $25k, I’d go for a 2010/2011 as the car received facelift in 2010, new headlights and tail lights which really made the car look much less dated, as well as new grill, and a few other things. The 07-11 S550 unfortunately has a different, less powerful engine called the M273, a 5.5 naturally aspirated V8 (382HP). Either of them are great cars from, if you’re only in the price range of the M273 S550, definitely try to find a 2010/2011 as these years common M273 engine problems were addressed and you are much less likely to run into problems than a 07-09 model ( i.e: my 07 s550 had the common idler gear issue where the teeth on the idler gear pulley wear down leading to timing problems) Both cars can be tuned to make some more power, on the M273 a tune isn’t going to do much but it definitely is noticeable, with the M278 a simple tune will put you near S63 HP and ABOVE S63 torque!
