NOTE FOR SPRINT: The effect ends upon reuse or execution of another action. Getting hit does not cancel sprint, I checked my VOD and it DEFINITELY looked like my sprint got cancelled by an enemy action but the actual sprint description in-game doesn't mention getting hit removes sprint. Not sure if it was mentioned but another punish for dying is that it stops you from generating lb. Which could be a very much needed lb when ur party re-engages.
I'm not a pro or anything, but one thing that maybe wasn't mentioned is the ROLE the job plays, right here Alininio is playing more as a flanker, picking the enemies that are separated and weakened, hence, not spending much time on the crystal pushing. If you play a different job (Caster, Prange, healer or tank) your role will be different, you'll still do around the same things of marking people and winning the fights by grouping one 1 enemy BUT you need to do it a different ways, ranged players will usually not stand in the middle of the crystal a mayority of the time because you're a easier target, more squishy. Tank players will a lot of the time be the ones that stay in the crystal most of the time since they have OVERALL less damage (mostly burst damage) than DPS, but they have a A LOT MORE survavility by damage mitigations, or more ways to heal themselves. This doesn't mean you can just jump a 1v5 and win, but you can survive a 1v2 or a 1v3 for a long enough period of time so that your teammates reach your location to help you and win the fight and stuff like that (for example, using your LB at least SECURES 10 seconds of you surviving a fight, where you use it to stall for your teammates or use it to flee is a different question that you'll decide at the moment)
Glad you mentioned roles, I'd say there are flankers, bruisers, tanks, ranged and healers - ninja for e.g is a flanker whereas something like reaper or samurai are beefy bruisers that can be more upfront and have reliable damage and self-survivability - e.g a ninja can't beat a reaper 1v1 since RPR gets LB Fast and has better tools for dueling. Thanks for mentioning this!
I find it fascinating to watch... and then I get depressed because I simply dont posess this kind of "coolheadedness" in a stressful situation ^^° I'm hardly able to keep an eye on the enemy team box, and I keep it close to middle of my screen >.< Not so sure about the chasing stuff, though... I always to keep my eye on the crystal but more often than not some player or two chase down another and in the end their team wins. I suppose they must've done something right ^^°
Man, I needed this. Trying to rank up this late in the season is brutal. The queue times are ridiculous on my DC, and while I consider myself an above average PvPer, in matches were I lead in damage, kills, and the highest time on crystal for my team, there will always be 3 players on the other team at least who will do more damage and kills before one of my teammates will show up on the list I don’t know who I made angry at SE to give me such horrible luck with matchmaking, but this is brutal
I double checked it aswell in my pvp vods - I got hit by a DRG while popping sprint to run away and it removed my sprint completely, i'm not sure what patch it was but I noticed this in my vods. I updated it in my youtube pinned comments because the actual in-game description of sprint doesn't say this - so I'll play it safe - enemy actions don't cancel sprint.
