Glad to see the matchup information get a lot of time in the video. It is really insightful. I know it is from your play perspective, but I thought a lot of them were spot on. Great Vid and smooth voice as always.
Gunbreaker is probably my favorite job, but I only just got into breaking guns in pvp. This guide was super helpful. That LB tooltip is a lot of words thay I just skimmed, and I haven't really been maximizing the potential. You clarified it all perfectly though.
That was really informative! I've been out of the loop for a couple of major patches and I didn't know you could self-junction or junction from a teammate now. I used to settle with the healer junction when given a choice between dps and healer junc. now, I can always use nebula if I want to!
i was just checking channels with names of salmander and saw your channels checked this vid out subbed cuz i like the voice keep going further my guy😎😎😎😎 !!!
Thank you so much or the strategy part! Even though this is not my main job guide, the strategy part really gives a lot of ideas on how to approach each encounters. I find it hard to come up with a game plan to win and not many people talk about it either.
Only thing I wish was fixed is the limit break, it’s fine just wish it was CC immune. Atm u can out dps it, run away or CC it but that’s just my experience. Other than that it’s fun and also hoping for other stuff too because the other tanks kinda does other stuff better
People are sleeping on this job and calling it bad. You have an hyper aggressive job that does some of the highest damage in pvp, who is also tanky with arguably the best mit, with a LB that generates quicker than most jobs and can easily clear everyone with it, along with being so good at pushing the objective by overwhelming players.
How do you target the correct player you want to attack in a team fight situation? This is my number one biggest issue with PvP as a controller player.
Easiest way I find is to face your player model in the direction off the target you want, angling the camera can help as well other then that I just cycle quickly on controller
Thanks very much :D and the sword is the Blade's Resolve from Bozja in Shadowbringers , For the arms and boots I am using the Panthean armour from the Aglaia alliance raid, the legs are the Direworlf cuisses of fending from the wolves pier, and the chest peice is the Seigneur's jerkin from the Mog station.
Yeah I agree the Healer junction is not great and imo still not really great. The job is fun and I use it all the time but I am hoping Dawntrail brings a pvp rework because there are elements of its pvp form that work really well, and then parts of it that just don't. I find myself using DPS junction 80% of the time with situational switching to tank only if I need to be sturdier (but even tank lacks the annoyance tools other tanks have so you lose a lot of value if you stay in it too long since Blasting Zone is such a great move.). I never want to get the healer junction, which makes performing combos on supports annoying because I have to hold junction back which kind of sucks because the free Burst Strike combo junctioning gives you is a great source of additional damage when going all in on someone. If the heal junction had a more impactful button like Heart of Corundum that'd help a lot. A basic healing aura is just not enough no matter how much they buff it, its too passive to be too useful in combat because of the sheer amount of damage burst, and when out of combat you might as well just pot.
@@salamanderYT It's the canter at which you speak, it's like riding a rollercoaster. You put lots of emphasis on almost every other word. Sorry if I sounded rude, it was just a lot.
Makes me sad that the RPR is so non-threatening. They have their combo, which is predominately contingent on an aggressive team to get to pull off, but besides that. They're safe to ignore.
I try to keep track and listen for certain abilitys before engaging, limitbreaks you need to know when there ready so many can just destroy you, and things like first fight if i must be the one to engage first i keep close to an escape root.
@@juniper2788 if you learn the sound off a whitemage's miricale of natures, black mages half asleep, other things like a machinist auto turret being cast stuff like that you will have a much easier time every job tends to have at least one skill you want to play around, baited out or jump in on when its used
I was always wondering what good matchups would work with GNB, so thanks for adding it to the video!

Glad it could help being able to junction yourself and the team was such a good buff gunbreaker needed :D

Junction dps gunbreaker has to be some of the most fun I've had in CC. Flying in and deleting a squishy is never not hilarious.
Damn right XD
awesome video! what sword/glamour are you using?

don't see gnb that much in ranked for some reason. it's my favorite of the tanks
It was so fun to play in comp.

Great guide but holy shit I can't handle the way you narrate this. Thank God for subtitles fuck.
What is wrong with the narration

More justice for Reaper's I imagine it will receive more buffs before the bigger changes in Dawn trail
How do you play this without getting killed immidiately? No matter where i am im killed right away even if im next to my team :c
