You guys have to remember that Fantastic Beasts didn't come out until 12 years after this movie was released. The amount of details and thought put into both the books and movies is absolutely insane.
Must be because of buckbeak... abd that was the year hagrid became a teacher so maybe dumbledore asked him to have a heart to heart talk with hagrid who shares the same interest
Well Newt is an expert on magical creatures light and dark and seeing as the dementors were patrolling hogwarts looking for sirius black at the time, im not surprised that despite his knowledge Dumbledore would have consulted someone like newt about them just to be on the safe side.
@@evanicander2023 I think there's a difference between being old as luck and sitting in a school office all day and actively running around the world facing down giant magical creatures who can and will kill you if you make a mistake
@@haileyt7446yes.. and still you believe that is what Newt does in his old age, or how do you mean? He can't be working on more books or something like that?
@evanicander2023 well I imagine he could be working on more books, that's more secondary to traveling and caring for creatures and breaking up smuggling rings is more his main thing, so yeah it is more impressive then oldest man dumbles being a headmaster, just saying its awesome that Newt is still doing his thing, checking up on the Hippogriff
He made another appearance in the book that I discovered. In the philosophers stone, he needs a couple books. One of which are : Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them. I think it’s only in the book though.
No, he's not there because of buckbeak. Newt and his wife is long since retired at that point in the Canon. He got the map during the holidays, would make a whole lot more sense that newt is there to visit his grandson, Luna's eventual husband, Rolf Scamander
The fact that Marauder's map was written by Harry's father James himself, has been a major missing from the movie. It gave me goosebumps when I came to know Moody, Padfoot, Wormtail and Prongs are none other than Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Petigrew and James Potter themselves. 🌚

I doubt it since it was never mentioned in the books, his own book is a course book for care of magical creatures (and we already have someone who teaches that) and by that point he was about 96.
In Harry Potter Dumbledore agr is nearly 60 to 70 guy In Fantastic beasts Dumbledore age is nearly 30 to 40 so newt was not visited while Harry in hagwards

Most likely talking to Dumbledore about what he can do with Buckbeak.
yeah thats what I was thinking
Or possibly visiting Rolf
Or the even more likely option is that it was just an Easter egg.
@@crazyjellybean5259 or his ghost
Yes that's what I think
In the first book, when Harry gets his first letter, it says to buy ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander’ as a textbook
I love this

Man imagine Newt as the care of magical creatures teacher

I love that character and the movies, an original hero not fake and plastic like the characters in most movies
Bruh Newt Scamander was older then Voldemort, hes old as hell when Harry's in school
Glad to know even at like 80 Newt's still doing what he loves
He's still younger than Dumbledore..

Newt would have been 95/96 at this time ( Newt was born in 1897 and the Prisoner of Azkaban takes place in 1993)

What part of el salvador are you from?
Yeah, makes sense. In america it's,"sorcerers stone"
infamous piece of trivia we have here on this infamous video streaming platform
He probably heard about buckbeak and ran to try and put him in his case
Imagine if he was a ghost roaming the halls-
No he is still alive
he wasn't in case you thought he was
No, he's not there because of buckbeak.
Newt and his wife is long since retired at that point in the Canon.
He got the map during the holidays, would make a whole lot more sense that newt is there to visit his grandson, Luna's eventual husband, Rolf Scamander
That true since wizard and witches live longer
what
I read the average lifespan of harry potter wizards around 120-160 years old
💀
The fact that Marauder's map was written by Harry's father James himself, has been a major missing from the movie.
It gave me goosebumps when I came to know Moody, Padfoot, Wormtail and Prongs are none other than Lupin, Sirius Black, Peter Petigrew and James Potter themselves. 🌚
That’s awesome
I don't think these guys know what infamous means
Fr man fantastic beast is famous cus it’s so good- 😂
You guys are saying buckbeak but I’m thinking Remus since newt made the werewolf register.
But he was 96 old there
Yep
But wizards have long ass life spans
Dumbledore says hi
And dumbledore? Wizards live longer
I think when Harry Potter 4 movie Ron said Dumbledore was over 140 years old. Maybe it's just an exaggeration or the truth.
@@customregina9383 idk wizards live longer so not surprise if he is 140+
He could also be a ghost roaming the halls
That's a sick deatil
on the first book his book is on the list of books harry has to get for class, it was "fantastic beasts and where to find them"
Wow!
How old was Newt during that Harry Potter's scene?
96 lmao

How he entered the castle? Newt was a former student of Hogwarts sorted in Hufflepuff house
I've paused that scene many times when I saw a video of Newt being in the map I can't see his name
Watch original video from movie in High resolution..HD.. its there !
Bottom right ...there is literally a big red arrow pointing it out! Hope this helps
He is the husband of luna😂
He was 84 years old then, lol
It could also be that he was dead and it was his ghost roaming the halls
Newt must’ve been a ghost then 😅
Death battle: Newt vs Harry everyone?
Where he is walking on the map? I’m not seeing it 😂
It was set 50 years before Harry Potter so newt must have old af
Seriously? Infamous?? Fantastic Beasts is good.
He was an old man lol
Wouldn't newt be dead because he's only like 10 years younger than dumbledore so how old would he be
No Dumbledore is alive so newt is alive too.
Maybe he could be a teacher there

Fantastic Beasts is as good as Harry Potter and it's unfinished
It would be great if one of newt great grandson end up with harry daughter lily luna potter?
Actually that's the reason he was there during that scene.
To visit his grandson, Rolf Scamander.
And Rolf does marry, but to Luna Lovegood.
