I've used the Stratus Down Hoodie quite a bit now and it is one of my favorite jackets. The special construction of stitched baffles keeps the down in place so there aren't any cold spots. Additionally, the DWR treatment of the shell as well as the treatment of the 800 goose down keeps you warm, even when the weather turns wet.
The Stratus Hoodie makes a great around town jacket, perfect for cold weather hikes or can even be layered with outer layers to stretch the warmth even further. A solid all around jacket.

I really like their gear. Well made and well thought out, so far, the have all held up well.
Thanks for the review, Ivan. Their advertised price is on par with, or less than, all the other name brand, quality 800 fill-down hoodies. And most of the competitors are not water-resistant.

You do have to keep it dry.. but there is nothing better than a down mid layer (hard use) or a down outer (don't destroy it. Pricey) to stay warm.... I have another option that is down-style pockets filled with fine lofted wool that has worked great. Not as warm but more weather resistant.
Does it take Glock mags??

I was hoping you’d do a review of this! How does the Stratus compare to the Kepler? Is it more or less insulating?
Since you're the only person I've seen who has both, do you prefer this jacket or the Arc'teryx Atom LT? I'm looking to get a quality versatile jacket but I'm torn. Or would you say the scenarios where you would wear each one are different enough that they can't be compared like that? Thanks!

@@BingBongFYaLifeSomething like a U.S.-made PDW Stratus with all of the included technology would most likely drive the price up to the $500 mark. Would you buy a hoodie for $500? PDW didn’t think so, and that’s probably why they went overseas for production. Not so stupid on PDW’s part, isn’t it.
