I remember going on a pre retirement pension bla bla up in Scotland and seeing this huge ship and the QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 being built. I may be army through and through but it is always fantastic to see any British service men and women return home safe and sound. Enjoy your leave xx Thank you for your service
The UK armed forces haters have exercised their two finger or thumb typing skills yet again. She and her sister will prove their worth defending our nation and seas if a certain country ups the anti from threats to action.
I think all the armed force haters might become very worried if Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un and his 3,000 North Korean soldiers attack the Ukraine, possibly triggering World War III. Because these anti British Armed Forces personnel just might be conscripted into one of three branches of our Armed Forces. We are on the brink of the next World War, a war that might become a nuclear weapons war. This has all the hallmarks of a repeat of the Cuban missile crisis tensions. Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, and the three thousand North Korean soldiers are a threat to peace in Europe and Ukraine but also peace in Russia and North Korea. I hope I am wrong, but I feel the tensions in the halls of defence organisations.
@@danielmason4967 I have seen them parked up at Portsmouth. And the Ronald Regan in the harbour. Good to see allied forces ready for action. There training will help them so much. If they have to engage the enemy. Not sure why Russia and Iran keep looking for trouble. They own citizens do not want trouble. They want the old days back again .

Ajax army vehicle program is similar money . Typhoon jet more money . Carriers save having air bases all around the world & are difficult to target because they can move . Could also be used for disaster relief/evacuation & provide a very visible indication of the UK"s resolve to uphold international law & ensure freedom of movement for trade !
@@stevenbevis9290 easy to sink . Modern anti shipping missiles eg zircon and other can make short work of a carrier . Britain is a tiny military power these days . And the UK breaks international law when it sees fit . No one elected them as the global police
@@stevenbevis9290 Ajax is probably the best thing to come out of the British military in the last 40 years. Those two carriers are non-nuclear, no cats/traps, can't fly any fixed wing aircraft except the F35-B so no awacs, minimal defensive systems and they have been plagued with problems. All they are is huge targets for an antiship missile! The F35-B has reduced payload, reduced range, increased cost, is significantly less capable than the actual carrier version (F35-C) and doesn't even need a carrier that size to fly! If non-nuclear and using the F35-B it would have been better to build four carriers half the size. In a real conflict these would be at the bottom of the ocean within hours!

That's what happens when an aircraft carrier goes into its home port. The aircraft fly off and land at their home airfield. In this case raf Marham in norfolk. There they receive maintenance etc

Should have called it ' Cromwell'.

@robertwatson9940 Been to see both carriers today. Magnificent!!
Very cool.
A beautiful ship, greetings from The Netherlands
Thank you
God bless all aboard HMS Prince of Wales.
Well it wasn't sunk , so not a political hire as captain ?
I just wish Britain were stronger and richer and yes, that she had her Empire back.
wow actually made it past the Isle of Wight for once.
So funny!
How about Our navy patrol "Nelson" style" in the channel to deter the Small boats !!! instead of always being away in foreign lands.
Idiot
All of Nelson’s most famous victories were in foreign lands…
You're confusing the work of Border Force (part of the Home Office) with that of the Royal Navy (part of the Ministry of Defence).
Is it True or Just Rumour is there plans for a 3rd carrier please i hope so.
Should have called her the Princess of Wales, goes with the feminine appelation given to vessels - and Kate is mega popular too 🙂

Does a Pilot bring the ship into harbour?
Navy ships need a pilot.
Otherwise the ship will get damaged.
And Captain court marshalled.
You can't crash a navy ship.
@@laurastuart3814 Yes, along with several tugboats
@@danielmason4967 Yes, I love seeing the tugs, but I didn't see a pilot boat or the pilot boarding.
@@laurastuart3814 I was listening in on the marine bands as the pilot spoke to the tugs
Is it broken again?
Spends more time in the docks than at sea
Send it to the English Channel
Why?
Rule Britannia 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Technical problems,,, haha hahaha get real
It didn't breakdown then
Only been gone a week!
👋👏👋👏👋👏 congratulations. the British Leyland of the sea made a full outward and return journey without any mechanical issues...
Stupid comment.
@brettgarfitt7424 yes I suppose I should have said left port with no problems.....this time 😂😂😂
Those two carriers are the biggest waste of money ever inflicted on the British tax payer!

So all the money being spent on housing illegal immigrants in hotels is a better use of taxpayers money, huh?

The jets are in Europe waiting for Russians.
