- Part 2: • Installing Clip-ons on...
In this video I show a time laps of me installing clip-ons on my Yamaha XSR 700. Originally the video was supposed to be very different from the final product. Originally it was supposed to be a tutorial about how to install clip-ons on a Yamaha XSR 700, along with some riding footage showing how it looks and feels, but due to certain time restraints and setbacks I couldn't do that. So now the first part is a time laps of me installing the clip-ons, and the second part is going to be riding footage, along with my thoughts about the clip-ons, and what I would do differently.

Does this mess with the riders body geometry? Like does it feel weird when actually riding?
Love the bike! Quick question what bar lengths are those?
They are the 12 inch bars
Hey bro love the bike. I also have an xsr and put some motogadget mirrors but they completely blur after 5-6k rpm. Do you have the same issue?
I did have a similar issue, but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't see. It was just a little fuzzy in the top end. If you're using the stock bars, the only place you can mount them would be on the bar ends because it makes up a portion of the handle bar. That might br why it's more vibraty than mine because mine were mounted directly onto the bar using the included brass spacer, which might help with vibration
Dude, I just tried installing the woodcraft one with the plate on my 700 and it didn’t work. Looking yo do what you did now with just the clip one and removing the mount in the center. How do you like the ride now? I’m currently running pro taper Carmichael handlebars
From what I know woodcraft doesn't make an adapter plate for the XSR700, the mt 07 mount has a slight angle on the bolts that the xsr doesn't have, so I used woodcraft 75 mm riser on the sideways mounted clip on with the xl bars, and to hold the tac I used a funny's custom service speedometer stay
The ride is definitely less comfortable, but I have taken on multiple 100 mile road trips, and it's fine
Will this work with the mt07!?
From what I've seen, it should work on a mt07, the fork tubes are the same, and so is the triple tree, however I looked at a mt07 in person and it looks like the headlight housing is really close to the forks, and may need to be trimmed back
