    Dhokla is a popular Gujarati snack. Generally dhokla is made from besan that is chick pea flour. But today we will make this dhokla with moong dal. This is a very healthy and protein rich snack recipe. It turns out nice, soft fluffy and spongy. This can be a perfect weight loss recipe. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me.     Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup Moong dal
    • 1 1/2 cup Water
    • 1 Green chili
    • 2 Garlic cloves
    • Turmeric powder
    • Salt to taste
    • 1 tsp Lemon juice
    • 1/2 tsp Eno fruit salt
    • A little Water
    • Powdered Sugar
    • Water
    • 2 tsp Oil
    • Mustard seeds
    • 1/4 tsp Hing
    • Green chilies
    • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
    Method:
    • Wash moong dal really good and soak it overnight. You can soak it for about 3-4 hours too.
    • Drain all the water from moong dal and transfer it into a blender jar.
    • Add green chili, garlic cloves and blend it into smooth paste.
    • Transfer the paste into a bowl and add and add water to adjust the consistency.
    • Add turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice and mix everything well together.
    • Beat the mixture well in one direction for at least 4-5 minutes.
    • Add eno fruit salt, a little water to activate eno and mix in quickly.
    • Line up a tin with butter paper at the base and transfer the dhokla mixture into it.
    • You can grease the tin well with oil too.
    • Tap the tray well.
    • Heat up about 1” water at the base of the cooker and place a stand at the base.
    • Place the dhokla tin on it and close the lid.
    • Remove the whistle and steam the dhokla on medium heat for about 15 minutes.
    • Turn off the gas and let the dhokla be in the cooker for another 10 minutes.
    • Open the lid and check with tooth pick.
    • Take the tray out and let the dhokla cool down a little.
    • Cut the dhokla into pieces.
    • Dissolve powdered sugar in water and spread sugar syrup on dhokla.
    • You can add a little salt in the sugar syrup if you want.
    • For tadka heat up oil in a tadka pan and add mustard seeds, hing, green chilies.
    • You can add curry leaves, sesame seeds in the tadka if you want.
    • Cover it quickly.
    • Take the dhokla out of the tray and add tadka on it.
    • Garnish with corinader leaves and moong dal dhokla is all ready.
