WoW..TY for this great tutorial AWESOME! So fun to watch! A great sculpturing hobby. Forget pottery, everybody tries that, but Santas, how joyful!🎅👍UR like Mrs Santa!
I Love These Ornaments ! As someone who has made salt dough ornaments for over 35 years, I have learned a great deal from you ! The #1 lesson ? Blush before you bake !
Just made them. The family absolutely loves them. It takes some time, especially the first time, but then they are really easy make! Wonderful tutorial, and the result is stunning!!!
I'm a beginner with clay. I am a regular painter but clay is my new favorite thing to do and you were the first and only one I will watch because you make it so easy because you don't go fast and you also explain what and how you're doing it! This is my project for our Christmas tree this year and I absolutely love them!! I also love what you said about if you plan on doing a lot of them, do them in some sort of order so you don't have to wash your hands in between colors!! I love that because I catch myself washing my hands so much but since I'm doing a lot that will be fun! God bless you for your beautiful work! Loving your clay time in Tennessee 😊✌️
These are perfectly gorgeous and you have so many great suggestions and techniques. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and talents! I’m thinking small crystal eyes will take them over the top!
This is my first time watching you. I have done a variety of crafts and floral designs over the years but I have never done ornaments using clay or dough. After watching you create your adorable Santa's I am anxious to try the Polymer Clay. I am also going to explore your other tutorials to see what you may have for other holidays and seasons. Thank you so much for sharing!
These Santa heads are wonderful. I love the garlic press idea so much better then the clay extruder when making a beards and grass and mustaches, you are a cleaver lady that is for sure. Your tutorials are wonderful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thank you for sharing 💗💗💗
These are sooo adorable! I've never sculpted with polymer clay (I make jewelry), but watching you has inspired me to give it a try. Thanks so much! Let the Merry-Making begin!!
Can the clay be cured in my air fryer as opposed to the regular oven? I’ve never used polymer clay before but after watching your videos I feel I must!
Love, love, love these ornaments especially the one where you used a garlic press for the beard. Will have to get some flesh toned clay (have red, white & green) and give them a try - good chance to use that garlic press that has been sitting in my drawer for ages.
Thank you so much for this. I'm new at polymer clay and have learned so much from your videos, not just this one. I've watched several of your videos and combined some aspects from others you made. I think I did pretty good. Thank you and happy holiday!
I love these! So adorable! I went right out and got some clay and made 4 today. I’m a beginner and don’t think I used enough clay for the hats because the paper clip hooks aren’t working so well. I will use more next time. I do have one question. When do you add the eyes? Do you paint them on after they come out of the oven? Thanks for such a great tutorial!
When putting paper clip pins into clay, I notice you are not damaging the clay model with your fingers. Have you baked the clay, or is your clay maybe kept cold.
It was fascinating to see you work. Amazing! I was doing Santa faces.... But every time I tried to stick a magnet the shape changed or the belt in the cap got swished. I would love to see if you could show us how to put a magnet please.
What a wonderful artist and teacher you are!!!!!!!!!! I just found and love you so I subbed and rang the bell!! Your instruction is spot on easy to follow and your voice is calming and assuring!!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your time and your gift!!!!!!! I am going to start making ornaments with my children and grand children next weekend!!!!!! I can hardly wait to help them make little creations following your instruction!!!!!!!! Much Love, hugs and prayers and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!
Simply amazing!!! I loved watching this video with no fast-forwarding at all, lolol!! The Scandinavian one is my favorite. This was awesome...off to subscribe!!
Very nice. My favorite I think is the garlic press beard guy ,2 cd would be the country Santa but I wish you stuck a branch in his hat or a birds nest or something woodsy.
When I first started in the 1970's, I used the salt dough but switched to polymer clay in the early eighties . It is a little more expensive but so much nicer to use. All of my designs can also be made using the salt dough if that is what you prefer.
Hello I pray you had a good christmas and happy new year! i truly truly love watching you make such beautiful works of art!! i have just started getting into crafts again that i love so much.. i wish i had the money to buy some of your pieces thay are truly stunning and so much detail that goes into each one!!! love watching you hope you are doing good and if you get around to it and abel will you make an christmas angel with red birds , white dove? sending you much love and good health your way... Thank you! Welcome to Simply Ornaments! I love to see new people from around the world. By the way, I was born in a small village near Frankfurt, Germany......a long time ago!
Hi I am new to your channel! You certainly make this look easy. I’ve decided after watching you for a while you must have done awesome playing with Play-Doh as a kid. I may give this a try they are absolutely adorable. Have a great day
I made these today using your tutorial. Thank you very much. This is my first time using polymer clay with the exception of making small carrot noses for snowman ball ornaments. I did not put the paper clip before baking. Is there a way to still make them into hanging ornaments?
Since the back is flat you could glue hanger on. Or you could try that liquid sculpey and rebake with a disc over hanger, put the date on it like she does with ball of hat.
That is a great idea. Also, if they are not too big, you could glue on a pinback and make it a pin. Do not use a glue gun! Use a super glue..a little goes a long way.
I wonder if I have an old Christmas ornament that you made or if someone made one in this style? I found it at a thrift store in my city, and it's my all time favorite ornament. It has gold stars on it and what looks like white mushrooms on the hat.
The eyes are super easy. I just rolled out some black clay real small, smaller than, but like, spaghetti, and then cut off small uniform pieces. Rolled them into rounds and applied to each side of the nose. Pressed them in with a dotting tool I have in hand. These are so easy, and really cute.
I usually paint on the eyes with acrylic paint after baking. Sometimes I use clay to make the eyes. Seed beads can also be used for the eyes but I rarely do that.
A GARLIC PRESS! GENIUS!! That is Master Craftsman level stuff there. Thank you for sharing with us!

I actually never played with Play Doh as a child. I am 70 and I don't know if it was around back then. Thank you...give it a try. It really is easy!
so cute ...thanks for all the great tips.
Thank you Tari!
どれも、とってもかわいいです。かわいいオーナメント作りに参考になりました。

I absolutely loved this..
Thank you!
I just stumbled upon your channel. These are so cute!
When did you add the eyes??
Thank you and welcome. I always paint on the eyes after baking. I use acrylic paints which are inexpensive.
These are so creative! New subscriber!
Thank you and welcome, Summer!
Those are so adorable
Thank you!
Thanks! Had fun making these. I’d send a photo, but I don’t know how to do that via UA-cam.
I love your tutorials, but I see nothing recent. Are you not doing them anymore?
I really enjoyed this video and I cannot wait to try and make them
Thank you
Thank you! I know you will do a great job!
Beautiful, thank you. But how did you make the eyes??
The eyes are painted on.
I feel like I learned a lot!
These Santa’s are soo adorable and you are a great instructor. I like to use the real blush as well and also the paper clip idea is the best. ❤️🎄
Thank you!
These are so cute. Question. Do you finish the backs of these as is.
Yes. I leave them as they are.
You do a fantastic job showing how to make these! But I noticed you don’t show how to do the eyes. Why?
The eyes are super easy. I just rolled out some black clay real small, smaller than, but like, spaghetti, and then cut off small uniform pieces. Rolled them into rounds and applied to each side of the nose. Pressed them in with a dotting tool I have in hand. These are so easy, and really cute.
How did you do the eyes??? Love your work. Thank you
I see answer on the eyes. Did you paint them on before or after baking? Does it matter? Thank You
I usually paint on the eyes with acrylic paint after baking. Sometimes I use clay to make the eyes. Seed beads can also be used for the eyes but I rarely do that.
Hello! I'm new to working with clay and your videos are really helpful! Thank you for sharing :)
