I am back with some Air Dry Clay tonight .. we all know I love a Gnome. My absolute go to Christmas decor .. I just think they scream Christmas ! xx
I am using Air Dry Clay from DAS .. I have linked the clay in my Amazon store front but I buy mine from The Works. I did an online order and had it delivered.
Air Dry Clay is such a versatile material and you can make so many different things from it. This is an Easy Air Dry Clay tutorial with a Simpe 3 layer process. The Air Dry clay main body, the rim for hat and the Beard. These are the only 3 elements you will need to make out of your Air Dry Clay. Then layer them together.

I still don’t get the knomes/Christmas connection but there’s no denying they are stinkin cute!!! how do you manage to keep the acrylic paint smooth? Mine gets so bumpy :/ is it just the quality of the paint or the technique?

I think in one of your videos you mentioned that you dry your clay by first putting them on a foam board and then on the air rack dryer? For how long you let them on each one?

Use Krystal More spray varnish it won't yellow.

I checked my stash here at my holiday home and I had a pack of Das that actually still feel soft!? Now I want to make gnoes too on top of all my other craft plans!
Ohhhh Mizz ... yes yes I didnt even realise Das dries out even when sealed xx but apparantly you can bring it back to life from rock hard 😱😱😍😍

Loving the gnomes. I’ve made so many this month already. I use the plasticote too and yes it has a yellowy tinge to it. However, other varnishes that I’ve used tend to make the paints bleed. The best option I’ve found so far is clear nail varnish.

After the clay is dry how sturdy or durable is it? Do you need to be careful with the finished product? Is it fragile?
Its pretty sturdy ... these must likely wouldn't break at all as they're super Chunky... but the gift tags in my last video might smash if dropped on to a hard floor ❤️

@@beary7550 yes you could use a butter knife - a cocktail stick - a kebab skewer - a spoon - the end of a pencil - a ruler - the end of a paint brush - and about 50 other things I am sure
