    F61 in my experience is the pcb I’ve changed 5 this year and had no recalls 👍🏻

      @@HeatingGeek Got exactly the same problem (F61, with temperature jumping around when you reset) thanks for your tip. Been told it's either the PCB OR a faulty gas valve, and that these boilers (we have the Vaillant ecoTEC plus 837 now 12 years old) have built in obsolescence, so we might be better off replacing the whole boiler. Not sure if this isn't upselling, but out of interest, how long does it tale to replace a PCB?

      What do you mean? 33c on the display? You may have a PCB issue if thats the case. :-)

      Just had an engineer look at the boiler , the round plastic temp up/ down dial had broken off connected to the circuit board ,needs a new valliant part, hopefully available in Screw Fix

    what about the F24 fault due to corroded pipes? could this be related or is it fault code specific? as in F61 PCB AND F24 earth fault?

    • @HeatingGeek
      @HeatingGeek  5 років тому +2

      F61 is an ecotec fault code. the f24 im dealing with here is on a turbomax. Very different sensors in those 2 boilers. F24 on a ecotec is a PCB or heat issue.
