Holy cow I just saw myself in this video! I worked there. I have video footage of us employees getting the store ready to open the doors & what nobody in line knew is that Slash & Duff were watching everyone from our back room. Footage on my channel. Thanks for posting this. Such awesome memories! ❤
Dude. All my former co workers at Tower are talking about this video right now. We have our own fb group called Tower Sunset & this vid was just discovered by the group. I'll try & contact you as requested. Again, thank you for this. You're making alot of old Tower employees happy right now.
@@MLT108 That's Great! I would like to set up a zoom conference with everyone who was at the store that night. I will edit a video from it and post it for all of the GNR and Tower Peeps to see...
This is so cool!! This channel just popped up suggested In my feed, a lot of great videos here! Hope you guys get something together, would love to see the conversation.
This is crazy! These people are so happy! I would like to stand there next to them, even without having a single dollar in my pocket. How I would like that in the evening, when my parents went to bed, my friends would come for me in a full-packed car and say: “Let's go, the album sale will start there soon!” I would quietly leave the house and sit down with them. And then we would go to the record store, just sit there for hours, talk about things and joke about things with each other and with fans like me and them... A fast report of time, everyone quickly buys records and after goes to the house without parents. The player will turn on, everyone sits anywhere and anyhow - on the carpet, in a chair, on a bed, on a nightstand, etc. The owner of the house would bring something to drink or snack. Someone would comment something about the music, someone would listen, someone would already try to pick guitar accords in a head or hear the drum line, someone would dance, and someone would just sit and look at the album cover ... Afterwards we would listen to another album, or maybe we would watch the house owner's favorite movie on VHS cassette or maybe we would just walk along the dark streets and shout different things... Sounds like an impossible dream... I really jealous! For someone this was routine days... I also want to say that the shot with the girl cashier really delighted and surprised me! It looks so difficult: she counts the cash, writes something down (most likely a sales report), gives out change, looks at everything more than once and checks, I have never seen cashiers in the 21st century look like her … She looks very responsible! My favorite Dust N' Bones is also playing in the background!:) It's video really cool, I want to see more a something similar!
It is sad that the days of waiting outside of a record store on release is dead. I miss the community. F&-k digital and Spotify and modern mainstream music... ruined everything....
As a Guns' fan, these were not good records. They could have at least picked the best tracks and released them all in one album only. So much of that material was pure filler crap.

Hi I'm curious, what were you filming this on? Because quality is amazing! I love to learn about different video formats lol
@@mrowa_wn This was shot on a analog Broadcast Betacam video camera. These were the days before digital cameras.
@@MotoStringer Thank you for your answer! Oh yes, I'm aware that it was before digital but I know very little about different magnetic tapes

Technocrats and corporate greed has killed this sort of passion in the arts of all styles including videogames and movies.

Streaming and downloading garners a sort of dis respect by the consumers , and because of the modern short attention spanned times.
Look at the people then and now. In the past, there was more life in our society.
I miss these days.
