That was brilliant Ally, great intro, like something from a TV show. Loved all the history talk too though your facial expressions in the stones and wind looked like Limmy 😂 great that you just deal with whatever is in front of you "why do I put myself through this" talented man. 👏👏👍
Don't know about the 'talented' comment , but thought I'd try doing a different type of intro. My boy actually said I looked like limmy in that clip 😂 As always thanks for the positive comments and support , part 2 next week 👍🏻🏕
Absolutely brilliant 👏 Massive respect to you for getting aff yer ass and making your dreams a reality. That wind was insane, shame about the bothy but that just means you get to return someday to make that happen! Really enjoyed the vid ally, looking forward to part 2 and see how your adventure unfolds. My favourite trip of yours by a long mile 👌
I drove there with a faulty drive shaft on my car 😁 I delayed the trip 2 days in a row due to the car , but thought feck it , if I don't do it now I'll never do it . So glad I did , things didn't go to plan but that's all part of the outdoor Ally experience 😂 as always thanks for the positive comments and support mate 👍🏻🏕
This was brilliant mate. Sometimes you've just got to get up & go do it. I love those ancient stones & want to get down to Avebury next year. That wind was brutal, but you soldiered through. Just a shame about missing out on the bothy. You gave it a good go but the wind was having none of it! You'll get there, Ally. Everything comes to those who persevere👍 10/10 mate. Loved it
I'm not getting any younger mate , so I'm gonna stop putting things off I want to do .The stones were the highlight of the trip , but I'm going back for that bothy next year , as always thanks for the kind words 👍🏻🏕
Mate, i loved this video. The Scottish islands look awesome, the history of the stone circles and the civilisations that created them are so interesting. The weather is always a challenge, good for you and it's great to hear you chatting away about how you felt. Looking forward to part 2.
Yeah I'm going back definitely, loved the place despite the weather . And yeah sometimes it's easier talking to a camera ! Part 2 out next Thursday or Friday, thanks for watching! 👍🏻🏕
What an awesome video! I just got back from Skye, first time I had been there and it stole my heart. I understand the pull of getting more north, more remote. Got my eye on Barra. Glad you got there !
Yeah next year I want to go to barra too ! Skye is beautiful , did a video there a few months back , but was busy with tourists in summer season . Anyways thanks for watching and hope you get to Barra . Did you wild camp on Skye or just get accommodation ?
@OUTDOORALLY Thanks! This time just accommodation while I did a recce. Next visit I'll camp. Love a winter camp and less people. Looking forward tobpart 2!
Good vid ally looking forward to part 2 ive been dying to go to the hebrides for a long time aswell to bad for the wind though. I nearly got caught in storm babet up the cairngorms my vid should be out soon
A proper Ally adventure. I'd imagine that it is a dark sky area, did you get a clear night sky at any point? Looking forward to next part. Well done Ally 👍👏
Great trip, the bothy looked good, didn't know that was there. I wouldn't have risked it either. Im glad you took that tent cos the wind was brutal for us too. Can't wait ti get back in December. Ie been spamming your Instagram inbox with places so hope you don't mind 😅🏕👍
@OUTDOORALLY oh aye definitely, we hadn't been to the beach you were at as again, didn't have time to get up that way so hoping to do as many bits as we can that we missed too. There's loads to see and do. Spike's favourite bit was where the Callanish stones 8 are, a we bit called "Bridge over the Atlantic". Just a wee bridge you can walk, drive or cycle over near Uig. It a nice drie and the stones are just next to it. Seen seals also in thr water 🌊🏴
@mechellemulligan4074 yeah there's loads of stone sites which are in quieter locations , want to visit some places I missed and get down to eriskay and barra
@@OUTDOORALLY aye we were the same, I walked to 2 and 3 stones and 4 was at a road we couldn't get stopped on, then seen 5, 6 and 8. We're the same now covid's over, hoping to do a wee bit more island hopping cos Skye was way busier this year than any other year we've known, and we're normally there all the time! ⛺️🏕🏴
